The suit will also challenge Tinubu's deposited affidavit over its vague wording and compel the said first defendant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide copies of his certificates or .provide another affidavit detailing which relevant certificates are missing and the dates they were attained and the institutions attended forthwith.

We will compel Tinubu to get another affidavit sworn where he must detail his academic qualifications listing them alongside institutions attended.

We will also compel INEC to reject the earlier submitted form and attached affidavit which must be duly filled and or replaced under the first prayers presented before this honourable court within 30 days of this court granting us our prayers .

The law explicitly states that the minimum academic requirement to qualify to vie for the office of the President is Secondary School certificate.

In that same form there is provisions made for other certificates.

Which shows that INEC prioritises school cert above other higher academic qualifications .

The reasons for including names and dates of primary and secondary certificates is to allow for third party scrutiny of an applicants form since INEC is not empowered by law to disqualify or reject any application form.


Tinubu thinking he is smart omitted those entries thinking he can evade his decades long perjury case with INEC when he contested twice for governor of Lagos state and refused to provide in detail the names and duration of attendance of his early and secondary school history.

Amaechi contested the primary election of PDP in 2007 and won. His name was submitted to INEC by the party and later substituted with that of Omehia. The court simply ruled that since Amaechi was validly nominated and did not voluntary withdraw from the contest, he remains the valid candidate of the party and the person elected as governor. So, how’s Amaechi’s 2007 case similar in any way to Tinubu being disqualified for perjury?

In the case of Yahaya Bello, the person who won the primary election died before the election was concluded. So, it’s only equitable that the party be allowed to substitute the dead candidate with another person who participated in the primary. So, how’s this case applicable here? Is Tinubu dead or what?

See, I’ve engaged you enough and I can see clearly that your knowledge of law is very shallow. The only way Amaechi can become the candidate of APC is of Tinubu drops dead before the election. If not, there is no way.

Tinubu is already a validly nominated candidate and only a court of law can disqualify himself. If he’s somehow disqualified as you are suggesting before the election, the simple implication is that APC will have no candidate in the election. A disqualified candidate cannot be substituted. If it is possible, APC would have simply substituted the running mate of David Lyon who was disqualified.

I will approach a competent court of law, demanding the affidavit incomplete and void over the deliberate omission of names of institutions and certificates , he (Tinubu) claimed got missing.

I will seek a court order and ruling demanding that Tinubu's original affidavit be rejected and he made to submit a new one citing names , dates, duration and qualifications claimed to have been obtained from his phantom missing certificates. I will pray to the court that Tinubu be made to comply within 30 days on the date of final ruling to submit a properly worded affidavit.
I will pray the court compel INEC to reject the earlier submitted affidavit and compel Tinubu to duly make available another substituting affidavit duly sworn before a court of law including the names, dates and duration of attendance and certificates attained therein.
