It is even more ridiculous that these people abandon what should better the peoples lot and embark on sensless crusade.
Egba girl: Honestly, many times I think we as Nigerians deserve our current situation and crop of leaders. We are too feeling sentimental and refuse to see anything good!!! We are blinded by sentiments!

why do people see the need to attach Tinubu to everything that happens in Lagos? Na wa for some people o.

We will continue the way we are in that country until we as a people change out mindsets. Smh in disgust!

(Btw, this is post is way nicer than I intended it to be.)

@ Pastor Kun,

1. You have simply laced your post with ridiculous falacies. - Tinubu's ownership of OANDO, dominating the cooking gas industry etc all are just your jaundiced rationing.

2. Pray, what is your submission in light of how this contributes to the well-being of Lagosians. You lot are your worst enemy. Your case is like Pastor Adeboye's analogy on a man that used "Madarikan"

Pastor Kun: Whilst this appears to be a laudable project on the surface many people don't realise that Fashola is just using Lagos state machinery to promote the private business of his friend (Wale Tinubu) who is actively promoting his new product O-gas with the intention of dominating Nigeria's cooking gas industry. It is also worthy of note that Fashola's oga at the top (bola Tinubu) is also one of the largest shareholders of Oando the company producing this O-gas so at the end of the day they are just promoting their personal interest and subsidising a private company under the guise of providing Lagosians with a more environmentally friendly cooking gas.

@ redsun,

You are welcomed as an investor to commit to piping to people's homes...... but
1. You should realized the capital investment of such and the netback at the current pricing
2. How many of these so-called ordinary citizens live in houses that are safe for gas piping network??
redsun: I thought this is about piping up domestic gas into homes, not gas bottle.

This an old news,my uncle had this kind of plant years back in my town.It is not a 21st century achivement,it is archaic.

More than six years after, have one million people converted to gas from kerosene

The Lagos State Government said it would launch its new clean energy programme, tagged ‘Eko Gas’, aimed at encouraging utilisation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the state.

The Commissioner of Energy and Mineral Resources, Taofeeq Ajibade Tijani, who disclosed this said the programme is expected to convert about one million people to using LPG, otherwise known as cooking gas in the next five years. Ajibade said the scheme would be officially launched by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, who has made commitment to create incentives for prospective consumers of gas.

According to him, “The state is more focused on promoting greater use of cooking gas in Nigeria by focusing on convenience, cost and safety through excellent gas supply services and development of innovative gas products.”

He said that the essence of the project was to ensure that cooking gas was brought to the door step of all residents of Lagos, especially the low income group, at affordable prices. The project tagged ‘Eko Gas’ would be targeted at the low income group that relies on kerosene because of the erroneous impression that LPG is more expensive.

“The Lagos State Government plans to increase the use of cooking gas among a significant proportion of the populace within the next five years,” he said.

On safety concerns that are raised frequently by potential users of cooking gas, Tijani stated that the product was designed and fabricated with distinguishing qualities such as safety, affordability, portability and environmental friendliness. According to him, about 20 per cent of the cost of cylinder would be eased by the government, in other to encourage Lagosians to the use LPG.

Seven years after, how far?
Have the numbers of families converted reached 1.5 million?
They are on another audio paparazzi gas cylinder project by their federal government in the thread below:
