payless: The worst kept secret is Obasanjo, Gusau and IBB are thinking about throwing their support to Tambuwal or Buhari if Jonathan is nominated as consensus candidate. Obasanjo already in support of AC Governor in Ogun State. Obasanjo plans to publicly endorse the current Governor of Ogun State for second term. Well, OBJ has no choice in this case. Even as a sitting president in 2007, he wasn't able to deliver his ward. |

Buhari has never won election in his over 70 year sojourn on earth and is not gonna start winning at 72 while GEJ has never lost an election all his life. 1 Like |

I have always supported Gen Buhari and I'll always do so on the next available opportunity. He's got all it takes to take this nation out of its present predicament. Like I have always remarked that Religion, ethnic, tribal or gender sentiment can never do us any good in this situation we're in. Buhari is surely the required solution this nation has been praying for. Just like Jacob said in the bible that 'surely the Lord is in this place but I know it not'. May God open our eyes of understanding. 5 Likes |

@OP my advice to all supporters of GMB is to desist from any form of abuse or the use of derogatory remarks against anyone with desenting opinion, afterall we are at liberty to decide what we want. Lest's discuss issues rather than exchaging iinsult. This is because every Nigerian is a victim of the 14 years bad governance of PDP including GEJ's perceived supporters. Poverty knows no politics, lets chat a new course for our common good. I see a greater Nigeria ahead.. God bless Nigeria 1 Like |

Poverty knows no politics, lets chat a new course for our common good. I see a greater Nigeria ahead.. God bless Nigeria They cannot stop being abusive and throwing tantrums! it is their way of life. As for 14 years of bad governance, I disagree with you. To count Nigeria's woes from 1999 is mischievous! We have stated this clearly that Nigeria was created by the British to ridicule the black race. Our problem predates the so called independence. Our problems led to the first coup, the counter coup, the slaughtering of the Igbos, the declaration of Biafra, the civil war, the genocide, the failed coup of Dimka, the flawed OBJ transition, the Buhari coup, the IBB coup, the annulment of June 12, the Abacha coup, he death of Abiola, the emergence of OBJ and PDP in 1999, the rise of MEND, the rise MASSOB, the rise of the OPC, the rise of Boko Haram, the cover up of an incapacitated president, the ongoing slaughtering of the innocent in the North and all the socio economic problems we have been having. If we want to solve our problems, we can start by calling for a national conference now. As for Buhari, making Fashola his deputy may help him to get some more vote compared the last time, but he will never win election in Nigeria. South South, south East, North Central will still vote for Jonathan. South West votes will be shared. North East and North West will support Buhari but you must score 25% vote in at least 22 states to win. Buhari can never get that! 1 Like |

noblezone:Thanks alot bro, but I think its unfair to be preemptive or being persimistic. I agree with you on National conference but this GEJ's govt's cannot heed that call, its only a progressive govts that can do that. Also, be informed that elections since 1999 till date have been rigged massively and have never been free and fair. I dont know have you came about your permutations of possible loss of Buhari come 2015 but I think you're wrong, if a free and fair election is conducted in Nigeria you'll be surprised to discover how unpopular PDP is. and Lastly, I think 14 years is long enough for any serious govt to turn things around no matter how bad, Lagos is a typical example, Ghana, Singapore, India, China etc the list is endless in countries where serious govt never had to waste 14 years to make meaningful Impacts. 2 Likes |

Why the Yorubas won't vote Buhari; The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalisation of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West. Of all the roads rehabilitated by he PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from. Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North. The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent. Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself. http://www.nigerianmuse.com/20061228122222zg/nigeria-watch/all-about-the-oputa-panel-hrvic/nigeria-has-persecuted-the-yoruba-submission-of-afenifere-to-the-human-rights-violations/ 2 Likes |

As supporters of Buhari, we should embark on programmes that can help demolish the divisive ethno-religious wall that PDP and other enemies of the country are building. How do we grow as a nation if we allow ourselves to be held back by religion and ethnicity. Our political leaders should stop all these division political permutations like rotational presidency, Muslim/Christian ticket, etc. All these will not get us anywhere. We need to grow up and allow the people to chose who they want as their leader based on merit and trust. Leadership is about trust. Let's continue to talk about what affects all of us - good governance, etc. Let's come up with programmes in the south focusing on SE, SS in particular. 1 Like |
