naptu2: Or have flats rented out at minimal monthly cost for occupiers to own in say 20-30 years time. I believe that is what Mobolaji Johnson did for those relocated to Surulere and what is done in those countries where some of our people are hiding in socio-economic exile doing jobs for which they are over-qualified COMPARED to their oyinbo colleagues on the same job. |

anonimi: That's what the Lagos HOMS is about. The sad thing is that not everybody will be able to afford even that minimal rent, that's why places like the Destitute Homes exist and that's why it's also important to create jobs through skills acquisition centres and micro-finance loans. |

naptu2: If that anonimi guy can ever be sincere in his life he would know that nothing good comes cheap. Even if you give the destitutes cheap accomodation, they will rubbish it, they'll invite more people from their villages and towns and they'll crowd lagos with some more low-lifers and before you know that accomodation will be the new slum. We need a paradigm shift, it cannot be done by FG alone but surely it isn't the job of LASG to take the initiative in educating the masses. |

django1: I will ignore your insult, as usual, about being sincere or not so we can focus on Fashola's gross failure to deliver the BASIC services to the good people of Lagos state. You can save your big grammar for the gullible folks and area boys who form the bulk of ACN supporters. The RESPONSIBILITY for primary education and secondary schools is that of the LGA and state governments respectively as per the 1999 constitution. All the Lagos LGAs have been under ACN control. The UPN governors of the five LOBOO states just 30 years ago provided free education up to secondary school with textbooks also while building state universities. Mr. Fashola's legacy is not only to abandon his responsibility in this regard but worse still to spoil what he inherited by increasing the LASU tuition fees from 25k to 250k. Meanwhile the conditions in the schools have even become worse with staff (academic & non-academic) being owed for 17 months. A "progressive" government that owes 17 months salary while the "not-progressive" and "clueless" Jonathan is paying promptly. What manner of FAKE progressives applauded by CERTIFIED mumus SMH!!! |

infolekan:Bro. I am only faulting one thing here the use of London as an example. just simply stated so children of thousands of Civil servants in lagos will never attend LASU. If they will, how? with 18000 minimum wage. |

anonimi:. We the citizen of Nigeria are the major problem this country is having, we are not sincere and we always do things blindly, when you guys watch foreign movies and see city like paris, london, new york and so on,you all ask why Nigeria can't be beautiful like that, well the answer is we all want good thing but not ready to make the necessary sacrifice,I know you know the truth, you are just one of those selfish politicians that will graduate into another cancer worms. In the nearest future,I'm not a politician neither am I a lagosian and don't even live anywhere close to lagos, but I'm a lover of good things, and what fasola is doing is what we truly need in this country,it will make we the so called poor to sit tight and fight for a better life |
