dru23: Well I don't know much about Abuja market .. I think Abuja rental is 25k per week and Lagos is 30k rental per week .......
My advice is if you can start on rental first before buying ur own car .. At least drive for 6 months or more before deciding to buy ur own car .......
When u are ready to buy ur own car . you should go for 2003 to 2005 Honda Civic .. I am not a big fan of naija used cars due to obvious reasons of abuse and neglect of previous owners.....
The Civic will serve u well if u take good care of it .. It will not affect your ratings at all .. Look for a civic that the previous owners has used the recommended oil .. Civics are good cars.....
Below is the one been used in Lagos for the past 2yrs plus now .. Good on fuel and parts are cheaper. that is Honda Accord |

Let me ask do you know or heard of Farenhz or Damilola? What of Jesusson2020 ? I came late into d hustle but not a newbie at all. Anytime I drive the next week bolt gives me complete 35trips for 8% but I won’t drive, then they reduce it to 20trips for 12%. That’s how I’ve been rolling. And I also use both platforms (Uber/bolt) Na felicity cos all dis ooh, asking me to post ratings. you they turned yourself to mewbie every 2weeks |

kanuisagoat: This one actually expects a driver 25 minutes away to come and pick him . If you check now, e fit be N700 naira trip I don't expect that kind of response from Bolt , they will expect driver to come PU point at 25 minutes away which can even be more than 30 minutes on GMap |

Felicity001: Fuel Attendant New Cheating Trick.
I went to Mobil filling Station, Abule Egba this morning to purchase fuel 5k. The sell normal price @N162/ltr.
The young guy programmed the pump at N5k and started selling, I was with my son in the car so I didnt border stepping outta the car, nevertheless, I was watching erratically. The young guy was standing close to the pump counting the money on his hands and I could see the pump at 3800+ and I looked away, the next seconds I looked I could see this attendant guy punching something from the other side of the pump and on my own side of the pump I saw 5000 blinking with a dash (- - - -) on the place where the amount of litres is been displayed. Immidiately, the guy quickly removed the nozzle and the closed my tank and came to ask for money. All of this happened with seconds.
I was like, anh anh, watin happen? That thing show 3800+ just now how come 5000 con dey show all of a sudden.
Knowing I've caught him, he quickly put the bpame of NEPA that they change light thats why.
I then said, so if them change light na him you c9me close my tank? Already i don step out of the car, open my tank and asked him to complete my fuel. As he removed the nozzle again to complete the fuel the initial sale pop up and it was N4,054. All this while during the conversation that 5000 and the dash lines where still blinking o.
I was like wow! So this is new trick you guys do to steal from people.
Guys be watchful when dealing with these guys they're all thieves.
Happy Sunday♥ the mobile filling station at airport road if they are selling fuel and NEPA take light know that your fuel will not complete, it happened to me twice ,the second time I have to come back and confront them they say I should see the manager, they apologize that how there fuel pump used do when is light interrupted, since then I don't buy fuel there |

Resurgent2016: @ Kanoski, I did this trade full time on bolt for about 2 months and it appears you own your car which gives you a lot of flexibility to succeed in this trade. Permit me to share my survival strategies with you (although I have a rating that fluctuated between 4.4 - 4.6).
- I don't do the island rush thing: The island has a lot of sassy and ill manner kids (apologies to residents there). I live on the mainland and "POSITION" my car to received trips that keep me on the mainland. By mainland I mean Ikeja, Ilupeju, Yaba not mushin, powerline and co. Position just simply means there are places you park that determine the trips you get. There were times I did 100% of my trips with Ikeja , Ogudu, Ojudu, Ilupeju......good roads, well-mannered riders and good money.....also mainland pips are less likey to keep you waiting for long periods and open to you talking to them (my experience)
- Call before you leave you move to pick up a rider and have a 1 min talk: calling gives you an insight into the kind of rider you are going to meet, it also helps you "position" yourself well before you meet them. I have had instances where I cancelled trips just because the riders sounded very rude over the phone. If you carry such riders, they will give you poor rating, spoil your mood (causing you to transfer it to subsequent riders) and probably mess up your car
- dress well, keep your car clean & in good working condition (including your A/C).
- Go over and beyond where the driver deserves it. Let me give you examples: - I once took a girl from VI to somewhere in marina. I ended the trip on Eko bridge because I realise she was fidgety and ask that I end the trip on the bridge. I told her Eko bridge isn't safe and she opened up she doesn't have money to pay for being stuck in traffic. I told her not to worry, collected what she had and took her there nonetheless. Except she is a demon, she will rewards such with 5* and moreso, if she had dropped in traffic, I wont be able to pick any else nonetheless.
-On bolt, let riders know the route you are following based on the map (on indriver, you are king of your route) - a lot of issues arise from route-related disputes
- take time to rest - driving when stressed often means you have little tolerance to riders misbehaving
Let me stop here, others can also tell you how they cope you talk well my brother I they always pity those driver that go to iyana ipaja, iju road, ikotun, ayobo, idimu and so on, and I can only go to ajah from mainland if I they vi /Lekki nothing Will take me to ajah or Addo road, immediately I reach there I will set my destination to vi or Ikeja or Lekki depends on spirit leads me, trip there can be annoying. |

Kanoski: bolt has done it again oo.. m so frustrated rn... after unblocking me two days ago for not accepting many of my request...
i got blocked again 4 low star rating... Before my 1st blocking... i was on 4.48 , as at now..my rating is 4.38...
i took it as a duty to tell every single rider to rate me 5 star ever since my 1st blocking... bt i noticed my rating never increased..... n i have carried nothing less than 10 riders since my last blocking...
i really need help like this... this is the 2nd time in this weel that my acct is being blocked....
pls i need help first of all, for you to have this kind of rating even when you are telling riders to rate you we need to know what kind of vehicle you are using , is the vehicle in good shape, is your ac working perfectly mind you AC is very very important for this job. I once have issues with rating when I was using disfigured Toyota corolla and there was a time I worked when my AC is not not working perfectly my rating drop dramatically. There are drivers that have good rating without begging and it starts with there car |

Bolt blocks for different reasons, so imagine you being blocked because clients cancelled too much requests . And it's 3 mins to cancel after sliding arriving now. wow and bolt didn't blocked you for this your activities scores |

is there a way to balance this cancelation n acceptance thing...?
bcus sometimes.. when i get a request... i may not like to go to the destination especially at night...
so wat do i do to stop this from happening next time..

felicity0001
izzuo the blocking is not about the percentage of your cancellation. You should always complete 60% of all your total trip in a week e.g if bolt send you 100 trips in a week make sure you complete 60 trips out of it , the ones you did not complete you can decline, customer can can cancel, you press arrived button and waite for 5 minutes before you cancel, you can also cancel. it's stated in one of there training videos that you should always complete 60% of all your total trips

hillso7: But why are they arresting people for making U turn? Is the bridge not meant for turning back towards airport? Please educate us and where else can one turn? if you want to use the U-turn bridge you have to be on service lane but if you are already in fast lane and you want to U-turn, you to go under the bridge like you are going to oshodi you will see a road by your right hand side like a street it will take you back to where you can access the U-turn bridge |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by 141samuel: 10:21am On Mar 06, 2021 |
geezyk: Its tat new U-turn Bridge that takes you back to the airport-7/8. If you intend to use the bridge, don't use the fast lane, make use of the service lanes, or else police dey wait you for the other side, as you dey land dem dey hold you. they arrested me about three weeks ago at that same place, thanks God for the father of the rider , he pays me back the 10k they collect from me. I can't thank him enough. But there is away you can still go and turn under the bridge but you can never know unless they explain to you because no any road signs there |
