Abagworo post pictures of present day... grin grin

Those are pictures from 10years ago and you know it..

1st of all 99% of your pictures are pre-2012 and you know it. We are just playing dirty here as the thread wasn't sincere from the start. You created it and started posting false pictures to give a false impression of reality. Even when I post updated versions, you and your cohorts dismiss them abruptly and re-post same old pictures, so I realized we are in a mudslinging situation. Check out all those Peter Obi threads I disagreed with you if I posted any of these bad Anambra pictures.

1) The Nekede road was a full topic on Nairaland which was discussed and agreed that it is a federal road and hasbeen like that for more than 10years because Iwuanyanwu got the contract and abandoned it.

2) The primary schools you posted, many of them have been rebuilt with 120 completed and another 180 still at various stages of completion. I can't post 305 pictures here to prove it. I posted the ones I have as a model.

3) The pictures of Owerri-Okigwe federal highway and Owerri-Portharcourt federal highway has nothing to do with Rochas performance.

4) I wrote that he has transformed Orlu to a city but you and your cohorts keep dodging that instead of asking for confirmation or pictures.

5) He has constructed 3 bridges across Nworie River and another across Otamiri all in Owerri municipality which has eased vehicular movement.

6). The Sam Mbakwe bypass has gone 60-70% complete which links Orlu Road to Wetheral with a Riverside view of Nworie and New Owerri.

7). Orlu road, Okigwe Road and Wetheral Road in Owerri municipal have been upgraded to standard roads with covered drainages and walkways as well as other levels of beautification like roundabouts, artworks and fancy lamps.

cool Several rural roads have been started with some completed and others ongoing. I've always had my reservations for the roads because they are of what Port Harcourt people call "NDDC" quality and might not stand the test of time.

9) The old commissioners quarters which you coincidentally posted the dilapidated picture has been transformed to various eye catching infrastructure which includes Hero's estate and Childrens park in New Owerri.

10 brand new solar powered chrome Streetlights have been installed on all roads and streets in Owerri.

11) Major roads in Orlu have streetlights installed too.

12) Education is free at all levels.

13) There has been a remarkable improvement in the agricultural sector as Imo is now a rice and cocoa producing State.

14) Health centres are under construction even though I have little knowledge of that.

I've listed out this broad list 13 which has room for improvement.

99% of Anambrians live outside their State because even nature is not on their side. Look at this ugly man lamenting on their condition. No wonder their girls are all over Owerri looking for where to sleep as erosion has destroyed 80% of the State.

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2013/02/anambra-state-and-the-menace-of-erosion/

That Anambra State is the most erosion devastated state in the country is evident; that it is prone to greater ecological disaster if no serious intervention is structured to combat the awful degradation is truer. Anambra State is adjudged to be the most erosion prone and erosion devastated landscape in the world. Although other states in the south-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria have some dose of the environmental ogre, none compares to the intimidating number and sizes of the erosion sites in Anambra State. The South-East is therefore obviously threatened by a physical environment that seems ever ready to slip into nothingness.

There are about one thousand erosion sites with varying degrees and dimensions in Anambra state. The Nanka erosion has ironically become famous and legendary in its devastating effects on the agricultural and other socio-economic lives of the people of the communities in the area notably: Nanka, Agulu, Oko and many other continguous towns who groan under the enormous and increasing danger of this phenomenon.

Over the years, more especially since the end of the Nigerian civil war about forty three years ago, erosion ogre has progressively been an albatross in Igbo land. Some geologists attribute this unsavoury development to war activities such as indiscriminate digging of trenches by soldiers, as well as detonation of explosives and bombs on Igbo land where the war actually raged.

Like other natural or ecological disasters such as earthquake, hurricane, typhoon and tornado in other parts of the world, erosion is causing horrendous and incalculable havoc in Igbo land. Various efforts made by indigenous people to checkmate the menace amount to naught in the face of the rampaging landslide. Governments in the South East have also been making efforts to containing it through practical measures and enlightenment campaigns on the indigenous population of erosion ravaged localities. Clarion calls have equally been made on the Federal Government of Nigeria, international agencies as well as foreign countries to save the zone from further degradation.

These Save-Our-Soul messages remained tepid, and could only elicit insignificant attention. This was the unfortunate scenario until recently, when the South-East Governors’ Forum, under the dogged and diplomatic leadership of Governor Peter Obi, prevailed on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on erosion menace in the South-East.
