Good day my fellow geoscientists and engineers in the house!!!!!! Ï'm suppose to be a graduate of geology from the university of Port Harcourt safe for ASUU. Also Ï attended this year's Shell summer sch. Ï'll like to know what school Ï can turn to for a master in processing apart from Ips(whc is expensive)?

if you are graduating with 4.0/5.0 upwards apply for masters at shell geosciences centre for excellence in university of Benin. check Google for details.

learning softwares at this stage is not the best, you are new to this field so let studies start then you will learn the basics of geology and the theories then from your 3rd year in school you will start learning exploration aspects of geology that's when you will understand the use of the softwares. then pray to get a good place to do your industrial training from there you will be more exposed. thanks

Hello fellow geologists, i'm in my third year studying Bsc. geology in canada. Glad to see a thread like this on here. I'm rounding up my degree and trying to figure out what next. I need an idea of how the mining industry is in Nigeria, cos it seems everyone is more interested in O&G. Also want to know the importance of a master's degree in getting jobs.

pls i am talking of doing Msc in Center for petroleum geosciences uniport.
Not IPS abeg.

but wait a minute, even if na IPS self, how on earth will somebody bring out 2.3million just like that. If i have such money,
i will simply bring about 200k for my Msc in University of Ibadan or uniport.
After the Msc, i will use about 400k for my mud certificate acquisition and use about 300k for my Nebosh. Total money spent will be around 800k. Then i will invest 1.5million on haulage business right on time so dat after this programs, i will be sure of stable source of income before employment

i dare not spend such huge amount of money (2.3million)for Mere Msc acquisition in Nigeria university

pls which of this geology programmes is concerned with geophysical survey, i.e ability to determine the depth where the oil is located (reserviour), the quantity of the oil and seismic interpretation.. ..?

From what i browsed online, mud engineering is all about Knowing the
specifications and nature of mud needed for drilling...

nebosh is all about safety.

So who can comfortably answer the question i asked?

I am patiently waiting for your answer
