I have first hand information of someone denied based on low GRE score. They will simply tell you "at this time you do not qualify". I never said he will be automatically denied because of it. By the way, you can't get funding with 270. If anyone gets funding with that score, its not because of the score but because the school is not so good and they are in desperate need of student population. TOEFL has all the components to test your English proficiency. From that transcript, its obvious his individual score in speaking was very high. That must be the reason why the VO suspected the score. The decision wasn't harsh but professional. That goes to show that VOs have the final say. If visa can be denied based on HIGH SCORE, what stops them from denying based on LOW SCORE?

Welcome. You do not need any agent to get a study visa. They have absolutely nothing to offer you. Study visa requires no invitation letters or any other documents you can't get yourself. All you need is the valid admission and I-20 from your school, affidavit of support if you are not sponsoring yourself, account statement and proper preparation for the visa.

Confidence is key Mehn it can't be overemphasized... U have to know what u going to the US to do, and also good reasons u choose d sch..! be emphatic and articulate with ur responses.
5) Practice.... I practiced with my mum, my brother and my mirror... Looking straight into their eyes and mine in the mirror.
6) Look for stronger points for why you choose your sch.. Strong point like what the sch have that will help your career. ...!!!!
7) Get there early *nurtures ur confidence*

Look out for schools that suites you, you can check usnews.com to see a few, know their requirement and write a standardized test.. Those are the first step..

House, I was delayed due to I didnt have my degree cert as its not available. I tire for uniport. Imagine since 2010 degree cert not still available. VO was like for 4years? I told him I even have an attesation from my school. He said anyone can print such even as it has university stamp and seal.

I will reschedule and go back again. It is not still ready as it take 5years for degree cert to be ready.

You know when issues like this arise, it gets you distabilized.

Was just very funny to me. I have been making contacts to get through to my registrar which I finally did and got his personal number. Would try and search for available date.

Will update y'all soon. Still got some busy schedules. See the GA I've been writing my ass out for. GRE twice Ielts ;DThis VO them funny sha. I've paid for visa fee, so I will be on the lookout for available date.

You're absolutely right. Sorry about that. I am so sad about your predicament. But not to worry, because a loser today can be a winner tomorrow. Today, you've vindicated me. I advised a friend who wanted to go to the embassy without her certificate not to go. Coincidentally, she studied in the same school with you. You see, getting admission and going for visa interview is totally a different ball game. Some VOs decide to issue based on academy, while others decide on finance, scholarships and so on. Honestly, the VO didn't believe you and to him, it's strange for not having your certificate. White people think differently, and for anyone to get what he or she wants, you have to think the way they do.
