The king is to marry a native of Igbodo as his first wife then he can have other wives from other ethnic groups if he so wishes. Also you did not provide the complete list of high-level coup plotters. If those were the only Igbos, as you put it, then the supposed core Igbos were just as guilty as the Yorubas (who were spared the wrath of the aftermath).

And my first question still stands.
