If it's about what Fela was DOING, that's a no-no. But if you talk of what Fela was saying, he sure was a better prophet than so many of those we've had claiming to be prophets. Though, Fela was definitely NOT a prophet of Yaweh!

Look all around now and you'll see that the same vices he condemned are still living with us today, and how many could predict the state of Nigeria now since some 40 years back? The supposed prophets of God still deny that Nigeria is in a sham state by saying, "Don't talk about the vices", "Don't talk about the leaders", "Just focus on getting your own blessings", yet they refuse to do any tangible thing to stop it. Rather, they are complacent and complicit with their teachings that encourage corruption, official high handedness, hero worship of scoundrels in power, collaboration in collecting gifts from corrupt officials, tribalism, hatred and so many others.

Fela was unlike many of the professed atheists, pagans and traditional worshippers that we have now because he put actions where his mouth was. For this, I've always had great respect for him and I was there at 'Kalakuta' to pay my personal last respects at his burial and his first year rememberance despite the horror of having to inhale so much 'igbo' fumes.

While I may want to put some blame on him for the high rate of drug addiction and 'Area Boyism' in Lagos, I will definitely blame our religious preachers for the rest of the vices in Nigeria.
