Little do you know........

Let me give you a very small lecture......... It would be brief, so you can understand very easily......

Are you listening/reading........

Removing the TS from your vehicle, increases the load on your engine....... Higher load = Higher fuel consumption....... (1)

Your vehicle would run very rich, because vehicle is running rich....... The richer the vehicle, the poorer your fuel consumption....... (2)

Excessive wear on your engine, making your engine weaker, a weaker engine would put more strain on the engine. A weaker engine would have to compensate....... Compensation = More fuel consumption..... (3)

Come back for more lectures 2moro...... Don't THANK ME....... cheesy

Please enlighten me more cos I intend buying an ES Lexus and I heard the es300 is stronger than 330.

Please enlighten me

Because most Nigerian mechanics don't even understand how cars work. Anything their oga teach them naim dem dey do, mostly to the detriment of the car owners.

Stronger is a subjective term.........

To use your term, the 330 is got a higher displacement...... Hence more 'stronger'........ Expect slightly higher fuel bills....... Fuel don cost o..... wink

So 300 has more fuel economy

Es330 is bigger, more powerful but more economical than ES300. ES350 is even more powerful and more bigger and more economical than the ES330 and Es300.

By stronger, I meant the body, since it was produced in japan

You aren't sure, but I am clock sure! Higher displacement and bigger horses doesn't always translate to more fuel consumption.

Es300 and ES330 are same body anyway, they just chuck 1mz in one and 3mz in the other.

Anyway for same car type like highlander, sienna, ES Lexus, 2GR 3.5L V6 has better fuel economy than 3mz 3.3L V6 which has a better fuel economy than 1mz 3.0L V6 don't be fooled by the displacement

It wasn't even made in Japan, that's the annoying part.

Edit: I was wrong. The ES is made in Japan.

My lexus gx460 has a problem oo. Between 80-110 km/hr the steering vibrates a lot especially when I step on the brakes but once I'm no longer in that speed range everything goes back to normal.
I have done wheel balancing at 2 different total filling stations and also changed brake discs and brake pads but problem persists. Please how do I fix this

Your truck is an off-road vehicle with multiple control arms and any of them could have worn out causing such vibrations. I'd advice you check the whole arms and bushings and bolts. If all of them are okay, replace brake discs and pads with brand new OEM specs.

Cheers!

Your culprit is either the upper suspension arm or lower suspension arm.......

Do you also feel vibration, coming from the brake pedal, while depressed.......

No vibration on the brake pedal though between the 80-110 km/hr speed where the steering vibrates, when I press the brakes the steering vibration increases

Ball joints, tie rod ends, and brake discs should be checked properly.

Just to anyone on this thread. Maybe not a Lexus for your first car. Got a 2006 Lexus IS350 - with the body and lights upgraded to 2012. I am also learning how to drive with it and I have bashed it now. And to replace the grille and bumper, I am being quoted 470K for it’s replacement.

But you only ever bash a car once right?

Is good to always learn with all this small small cars. I learn how to drive and became perfect with a 2001 Toyota Camry.
