I know our Govt system is made for the rich,we don't mean anything to them.Living in well built houses doesn't fit the average Nigerian. As they loot our money, every seconds of everyday, every minute of every hour, every day of every year, stealing big, dumping it here and there, hiding them by building so many Estates,Shopping Malls,Markets,Blocks of Flats,ALL FOR NOTHING!!!EMPTY AS THE YEARS GOES....They continue to hide this stolen money on properties and lands, some of which are taken by force from indigenes.....

oga, it's evident your aunt either took you to a wrong part of town or you know NARRING about abj.

All cities in the world have over priced estates with empty houses. GST 102 thot us that it's wrong to generalize based on insufficient sample.

Madam,I am not generalizing here.Ofcourse there are places like Lugbe,Kubwa,Gwarimpa, where a lot of people live, even at that its still expensive.A good self con in Gwarimpa goes from 400k,an amount you can pay for a good flat in some places in Lagos.

This is real estate business my darling. Property values are set for a reason. Most times to attract a certain level of clientele. Dangote would not buy a house in Ajegunle.. That's for a reason. Even you sef, when you hammer, you would not want to live in a middle class area. It's just the way it is.. It's not wickedness, it's not government, it's just business and real estate. Property must get value..

If you want affordable housing, go to affordable places like Ekiti where a duplex goes for 350,000 Naira a year. grin

Places like IKOYI,GRA Ikeja, VI, lakki and Aka are also suffering thesame issues.

It's a way by which corrupt civil servants and politicians launder their ill gotten wealth, as for the revolution you mentioned, babe you're on long thing on that because Nigerians are not ready for such, they'll rather fight among themselves about who is Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, etc.

Op its not just the politicians.humans are naturally greedy and wicked.I don't know why some people will steal a country's money to build houses that no one will stay in it.go to maitama, asokoro and the likes and u will weep for nigeria.some people are worth billions of dollars while some can't even have 3 square meals.some times I just thank God for death cos only God knows what will have happened if people didn't die or could buy life.just try and be good, help people u can, and u will be blessed

God bless u!!!

I was bitter initially when I stayed in abj and my house got demolished. If you can't afford the expensive houses, move on! !!

I then realised that it's all about the benjamins baby. ..

My office building (close to force had quaters) was leased at 1.2bill for 4yrs and ppl still paid.

d op needs to know that all cities have deserted houses/overpriced estates. abj is just an example

Well the issue here is that Nigerian properties are overpriced.
There are lots of empty homes Ikoyi, Lekki and Ikeja GRA waiting for people to pay 3.5-5 million par year.

Some properties in Lagos are more expensive than some eyebrow areas in US and UK
