OrlandoOwoh: Why the noise by Nigeria? Every country creates an environment where its citizens benefit more. Didn't Gowon introduce the indigenization decree in the 1970's? Have we forgotten "Ghana must go"? The action of Ghana should tell Ken Ukoha, and Ndigbo in general, just as we do tell them here, if Ndigbo get Biafra today, all of them outside the South East trading will be forced back to the Souh East.
Anambra Adigo Mma.
if we nigerians don't love ourselves, how do you expect foreigners to love us? you can imaging this kind of post from a nigerian who has no atom of goodwill for his countrymen.

i admire ghana in the way they respect and protect their country even in the midst of troubles, people like this should be sent to borno to face boko haram. you will always be a waste to nigeria.

Well Nigerians will demand a direct economic response against ghana.
Shoot them below the knees and cripple them finally.
Anyway,i trust the minister of trade and investments, he can be pretty ruthless as attested by the ghanians.
This is probably the excuse he needs to finally shut out the few ghanian products still entering the Nigerian market.
Intriguing times.

Well if that's the way Ghana government want to go...no problem, Nigerians who can not upgrade to 1million dollars policy should come home. One can not rule out one obvious thing, ghanas economy is on recline and is speedily slipping into oblivion of which if care is not taken, we may witness another Zimbabwen crises in ghana

Its always about Ghana !!! Nigeria can never be at fault for once. Do you know how many ghanaian goods and services are restricted from entering the nigerian market for some flimsy reasons.. How many ghanaian companies have tried to set up in nigeria . But are frustrated by the authorities.. Even going as far as breaking some ecowas rules. And u see nothing wrong. Well I do not support the way the ghanaian authorities are going about it. But the influx of nigerians in that sector have become too much.. Limits must be in place

personally, i dont think the nigerian traders should be sent out of the markets but their numbers should be regulated. i think the problem should discussed properly btn the ghanaian traders, nigerian traders in ghana, ghana government and nigerian government. Maybe something will be worked out.

Seriously, why should their numbers be regulated? give me on genuine reason
Re: Nigerian Traders Evicted Fom Ghanah by BlackTechnology: 9:53am On Sep 26, 2014
GHKWAME1: First off, there was a law prohibiting foreigners (including Nigerians) from venturing into markets solely preserved for Ghanaians(just like how only Dangote gets to make cement in Nigeria). Everybody knows that you respect the laws of your host nation.

Secondly, there is no law restricting foreigners (including Nigerians) from attending Ghanaians educational institutions.

The law became effective because you guys could not compete with Nigerian traders

You guys love foreign students because of the income they generate for you guys

Am I lying

OUR markets were constructed purposely for ghanaian citizens, u know our population is way way way lower than that of nigeria's ryt? So when nigerian traders come to do business in ghana and they become successful, their fellow nigerians also gets interested and also come join him to also do their business here but unfortunately our market cant accommodate all the nigerians and ghanaians so it becomes a competition for a place to do business and since the nigerians come prepared ( with money and persuasion) they get it. so as the numbers of nigerians doing business over here doubles, alot of ghanaians lose out. Thats why that should happen. (The regulation)

Me cry God forbid

It shows Ghana do not know the impact of population on economic sales.

The more people in your region the more customers in your region

What Ghana should have done is to control their real estate trade and make money from rents.

More people in your region means more sales for food businesses

@mrham03 nonsense! You guys did that simply because you hate Nigerians. Now tell me...if the whites starts coming in their numbers into Ghana to set up business will you also eject them? This a case of hatred! Remember the EU/ECOWAS trade liberalisation agreement pact which you guys were pushing for? You people were ready to make your nation a dump site for European manufacturers..but are not ready to accomodate Nigeria in your market. Thank God Nigeria didn't sanction it. This a case of xenophobia.

Is a big shame that Ghana which is rated as more educationally savvy do not know the importance of population on economic sales.

hahaha xeno- whaaaat? U dont say lol, who told whites will go and sit in the market and trade? We have a law in ghana and it forbids foreign traders from trading in our markets, we have to enforce it to protect our citizen against foreign invation. Be it nigerians, or chinese or togelese. Ghanaians will always come first in GHANA.

Who says Nigeria cannot be at fault?, every country has it good and bad sides, but ur bad side is noticed & criticised when it override ur good side. It has come to my notice that Ghanas business policy is hash & actually designed against Nigerians, to stiffly them out of Ghanas economy. And I hope when Nigeria reciprocated in like manner, ghana will not cry blue murder.

Like u rightly said...setting up a business in Nigeria is not easy,it has nothing to do with being a foreigner, we also suffer & pass through the long rigorous processes & delays from the authority. To succeed here. u have to be patients with the authority while ur papers is been processed & ready to drop something when necessary. We have many south African companies doing great here, which could not have'b possible if what u said is absolute.
