Was there a massive chopping down of trees? This places are looking bare. Anambra is in a tropical rain forest. We are exposing our terrain to more erosion.

The last time I was in Awka about Two months ago, I was told that a certain guy (company) acquired a long stretch of land from Aroma or/to Temp Site that will involve demolition of some buildings along the road including De Geo Gold hotel. Please can someone with better information pass across to the house because I don't know what plan they have for that huge land (If it is true).
