Where am i wrong?

Again.....countries that are super developed are that way because they promote policies that encourage dependence on exporting manufactured goods.

Nigeria is not developed because we prefer to discourage local industries in favour of importing stuff..not because of religion or its abscence.

What encourages the deceit is the abundance of raw material in this country....which fools us into thinking that we can make billions from selling them, and importing stuff.

Change that mindset....and we will develop well well.

Assigment....point out any pastor that forbade his members from developing a factory!
You are stating a very small part of the problem. Whats your area of specialization?

Daddy freeze is off the mark here

The reason why Nigeria isn't developed is not because of how many people go to church or mosque. It is because Nigeria's economy is heavily dependent on revenue from exporting raw materials...and on importing stuff.

That is what we inherited from the British, right from the time we exported slaves in exchange for weapons, alcohol, etc, then palm oil , cocoa in exchange for industrial goods....to the point that we have become so dependent on imported rice, imported biscuit, imported ceramics, etc...which we can produce at home.

Daddy Freeze, why don't you set up your own factory? Why must it be the Church? And even some chur have set up factories and employed hundreds of Nigerians.

Even RCCG...has set up many employment generating agencies...like universities.

And what is all this talk about free education? Yes...the church should sponsor education for indigent students....but let's be frank, education is expensive. And the church does help indigent students too....

Look.....if you want to start blaming unemployment, and lack of factories on churches...look at youself first. Do you buy made in Nigeria stuff? Or you buy imported?

Daddy Freeze, I appreciate your critiques. As a evangelical Christian, the church has not done Nigeria well enough. But China, UAE, etc got to where they are not because of, or the absence of religion, but because they promoted policies that did not let them rely on importation. Chew on that.
You are wrong. Very wrong!
Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Freeze Slams RCCG 50-Day Fasting & Prayer by 1freshdude: 1:31pm On Jan 12, 2018
Even if RCCG members like let them starve to death, it won't change shit. Okay, they will only lose weight and give their digestive tract a break, but the socioeconomic challenges will remain. Nepa will still not give light, Buhari will remain deaf and the budget funded by loans from countries that don't care about religion.
The churches are huge distraction in Nigeria, Daddy and mummy GO's should manage the billions they have already fleeced people of, let people face the problem of the country squarely. Nobody is coming from heaven or anywhere to save anybody...ask yourself since when have you been praying and starving, why are things getting worse?

This Aduro (asylum seeker) is on his way to obtaining Germany's legal residency status. Kudos to him. Many Nigerians have lived in Germany for donkey years without papers that allow them travel in and out of the country. With this marriage, this guy has earned his removal from aduro status in Germany. The lady will now return to Germany alone to file for him to come to Germany legally as her husband. If she changes her mind at this point the guy is stuck in Nigeria for life grin grin grin grin grin

I once lived in Germany as a LEGAL student and I knew what went on among Yoruba, Igbo and, especially, Edo Aduro seekers in that country. One Yoruba guy, Akanbi, even almost married a mentally unstable German old cargo all for papers. She died before he succeeded. We were laughing at him back then for his bad luck grin grin grin

We are talking animals that people actually use. So exclude your dogs, monkeys and elephants and ''varieties of birds''. You don't understand yet are talking garbage. Europe domesticates horses easily, which helped in agricuture as they pull weights for transportation. Try and raise a horses in Nigeria and see how far you get.

''So, with that in mind, why was it the people of the Middle East and Europe who came to dominate the world? Difficult as it is to summarize a 500-page book into a few sentences, it boils down to two main things: the best domesticable crops and the best domesticable animals are all native to the Fertile Crescent, and can adapt easily to the climate of Europe. Although agriculture may have developed in several different places, such as in China with the domestication of rice, it was the wheat, barley, and other crops native to the Fertile Crescent that spread most widely across Eurasia.''

The climatic/soil conditions of Africa are the worst on earth for agriculture and animal husbandry. FACT. Do you know that half of Africa is desert? Another quarter is arid, a third is thick forest with acidic soul. Perhaps less than 20% of the continent has ideal conditions for agriculture. That is the reason why food surplus has always been difficult to achieve in Africa, especially in non-temperate regions outside South Africa and the North African coast. Everywhere else is either terrible or poor in terms of natural conditions.

Name the animals in Nigeria/West Africa that can be domesticated for consumption under natural conditions. Very very few compared to Europe, Asia, and the Americas.. FACT.

Excerpts:

''Thus, one can explain as follows the reasons why the people who spread around the world were Eurasians, not Aboriginal Australians or Native Americans or sub-Saharan Africans. The reasons had nothing to do with differences in the peoples themselves. Instead, the reasons were continental differences in the available wild plant and animal species suitable for domestication, resulting in earlier domestication of a more productive suite of domesticates in Eurasia, plus Eurasia’s east/west axis that facilitated the spread of those domesticates throughout Eurasia.''

Actually YES, EUROPE'S SOIL IS LIKE 2O TIMES more fertile than African SOIL. FACT. Look it up.

Go and read Jared Diamonds's Guns, Germs and Steel. He explains why Africa has always struggled with food, water production etc

The KEY to which region is developed versus not developed, has to do with SOIL/CLIMATIC QUALITY.

Studies have even shown that only about 4 or 5 out of the edible animals on earth can be domesticated in African conditions, compared to 20 or more in Europe, America and Asia. That is why in Europe you can raise Turkey, Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Ostrich, and many many more animals, under natural conditions. In Africa, it stops at cow, goat, chicken and bush meat. Finish. The rest you need substantial capital investment that often makes it uneconomical.
What has cow, chicken and turkey raising got to do with planting green grasses, urban planing and order-liness?

Are you talking arable land or animal rearing? You just dey muddle everything.

And stop saying silly things, though off the topic, how many edible animals do you personally know that thrive in Nigeria, are they not more than 4 or 5? What are you saying Mr?

More ignorance on display. Here, let me educate you on African soil types as described by scientists, and tell us if it equates with the type of soil you find in California and Nevada USA.

African Soil Types

By Thomas West

Even though it is one of the largest continents, Africa and its constituent countries have consistently lagged behind the rest of the world in both economic and agricultural development. This is due in large part to the types of soil that can be found in Africa, many of which (though not all) are sandy and arid, making them largely unsuitable for agricultural production on any substantial scale.

Histosols
This African soil type is only found in a small area on the continent, including the coast of West Africa and Madagascar. This type of African soil tends to be acidic. It is typically composed of incompletely decomposed plant material, along with sand or clay. Although not as productive as some soils, histosols can be used for grazing and for some agricultural use if managed well.

Andisols
The andisols are some of the most productive types of soils in Africa, and they are predominantly composed of various materials ejected from a volcano (such as ash and pumice.) As a result, the regions with this kind of soil are agriculturally productive. They are primarily found along the Great Rift Valley.

Arenosols
This type of African soil is found in several regions throughout Africa, particularly around the Kalahari Desert. This soil is often composed of sand, and as a result is often not fertile. Because of this, this type of soil is mostly used for grazing, although it is possible for subsistence farming to be undertaken on this soil with proper irrigation.

Vertisols
These soils are found along the rift from Sudan to South Africa. Because they are composed largely of clay, they become hard during the dry season and sticky during the wet season, with the result that they are difficult to till, reducing agricultural productivity.

Ferrasols
This type of African soil is typically found in the tropical regions, mostly Central Africa. Although these soils are quite stable physically, they are chemically poor, and the nutrients are typically held in the biomass so that plants are not able to access them. These soils withstand erosion well, but they do require a great deal of irrigation and other agricultural work to be productive.

Aridisols
This type of African soil occupies a substantial portion of the continent, with most estimates placing it at approximately 26 percent. This type of soil occupies a number of environments, including dunes, salt pans, and rocky lands. Because these soils are sandy and arid in composition, the soil is mostly unusable for agriculture.

Stop typing rubbish. Nigerian/West African soil is very unfriendly to grass. In Europe and other temperate regions you don't even need to plant any grass before it grows. All you have to do is trim and cut. That's why everywhere is covered on grass as a lawn, or there's a pavement/road, and very little sand to see. It is about soil type.
Really? Europe has more fertile soil than Nigeria? You seem to be the one typing rubbish!

It is quite unfortunate I attend a Private university where we had nothing of such going on. But it was fun sneaking out of school to go visit my friend in the neighbouring public school, so as to have a wonderful time with him and his “wife”.

So my friend in the public university told me of how he caught his “wife”. According to him, it was a ritual for old male students to discard their previous girlfriends whom they have gotten tired of and scout for newly admitted “fishes”.

“I met her at the registration unit, and ever since she has been serving me well,” He said to me.

“Will you marry her?” I asked. He laughed so hard that I almost got embarrassed at the question. He explained how he was going to throw her away, after a period of time.

“So you are taking advantage of her?” I asked.

I think that was when I really got to know how the relationship went. In fact, it was a symbiotic relationship. Nobody was gaining, and everybody was losing alongside. It is called a symbiotic mode of nutrition in Biology.

While the guy was paying a major part of the house rent from his limited funds, buying all the foodstuff in the house, paying utility bills and so on; the lady was performing the wifely duties in the house and in the other room.

The bad news was that she was barely 19 years of age, and was already married illegally to a complete stranger. Guess what; they were already having marriage experience, but their academics, which was the primary aim of being in school suffered.

I don’t know what became of the both of them, but something tells me that it wouldn’t actually end well for the both of them simultaneously.

Congratulations to all those who recently got admitted to study in universities and polytechnics across the country, your journey just started. Majority of us already have weird fantasies that we need to bring to pass, but I am asking you to peddle down.

I don’t know much about other vices in school, but cohabiting with an opposite gender will tear your future apart faster than you’d ever have imagined. I am not saying it is bad, but have you done a SWOT analysis of it?

Even matured people are not finding it easy living together, so how do you think you can cope as two very young adults?

No matter how much you claim you love each other to co-habit, it won’t end well for both parties. Either one of the parties loses, or both of them lose. It is disheartening to see young people leave home in search of education, only to go and start playing the husband or wife role with another gender in school.

I know a guy who loved the girlfriend so much, that he went as far as writing assignments, exams, quizzes for her in exchange for sex and homely duties. While the guy had a spillover and graduated with a second class lower, the girl zoomed off in record time with a second class upper grade.

I am not asking you not to cohabit, but I am reminding you that the Job Market isn’t friendly for Graduates with already good results. I have seen graduates with First Class, Second Class upper, searching for jobs without headway. What would be the fate of those who come out with poor grades, school dropouts due to pregnancy, or even those rusticated?

He who the gods want to kill, they first make mad. And madness is being a wife or husband to a complete stranger.
