Maybe this is the freshest or even the cutest on nairaland, you decide. ![]() Kinda of bored and would not mind video chatting/skyping with a cool female...just pm if you would like to. Cheers! |
tunary:Are these the only problems the country is facing? True the agencies of the Federal government is responsible for price stability but what role is the state government playing concerning securing their states, meeting obligations to workers and investing in capital projects? All the state governments are saying there is a shortfall in allocations as if the usual allocations is not 2times what they need to run the state. The present allocations is more than enough to make the states blossom! One would even think that the multitude of nongovernmental anti-corruption self acclaimed organisations would ask that each states publishes it's account routinely for transparency and accountability...it's a shame that even a state like Lagos that taxes people silly are not been challenged to a standstill to publish it accounts and show explicitly how funds are used. A country filled with stupid hustlers and crooked thieves! |
Naturallyme:Very good observation! You reason very fine...what do the state government do with their allocations? |
People dubiously divert resources meant for the whole community for their private use and some fools are singing their praises? This is one of the reasons you all will remain slaves to low life crooks and criminals, and die miserably in Nigeria! Soon some hungry attention seeking urchin will roll out congratulations for the new FX billionaires! |
Pidggin:Ignoramus, there is no need to make GEJ or PMBs mistakes, they both lead to doom! Things should be done a-right! How do you praise a man that borrowed to pay salaries despite oil revenue windfall? For how long will the country borrow to pay salaries? Do you know why Osun had little or nothing as allocation for April? It's becus their debt was deducted from their allocation! So what becomes of the state obligations? You guys have a brain for a reason...you know the Rest. |
Opeyemi4real:Finally somebody who has some senses....we voted out a clueless thief who created lots of present and futuristic Problems for the country and installed an economically naive nepotist, though he is no thief, but he Lacks the economic know how and is making an already Bad Situation worse! |
Adedeji2012:**** a condemnation of the ineffectual thieving buffoon does not translate to the support of the present mismanagement by the uncumbent. **** |
Pidggin:Mr man am sure you are Literate, peruse through my post on this thread and show were I expressed Support for the way the country is been run. And is it not possible that I am working as an expatrate in a Multinational or Foreign agency? |
If you quote me and I do not respond it's because you are shit and not worth my time! |
otubujohn:Otu Johnbull or John cow, what ever they call you...I have noticed you..but I don't have time for idiots. Quote the post of people in your league...I am at a work that pays me 20euros/hr, why should I then spend my precious time arguing with a hungry Stupid urchin?..Ahead ahead Johnbull! |
Aufbauh:Bro forget this silly children, you can never win an Argument with idiots...Just keep doing your best in your country of abode, light up your corner and support who ever you want back home. We need this current calamities in Nigeria to reduce the number of ignorant and corrupt pawns in the Nigerian Society. Most of you on nairaland have not known a good life, if you are opportune to reside in saner climes only then will you understand why Events in Nigeria gets some people really angry. |
deji68:You are conveniently blind to the payment of salaries with loans and talk about capital projects that provisions were made for with the oil bench mark which was by far lower than what was realized.... Please go and sleep and stay off my mention (i would reciprocate)....I pray your life remains as it is now by the way... you seem to me be a bigman who likes the way things are. Cheers! |
deji68:Is there no limit to your folly? your ignorance irritates me. Ah you know what a budget means and how funds for financing is sourced...but once more you miss the point! If you propose to take a loan to augment other sources of your income to finance a venture, but along the line you make more money from other sources of your finance than envisaged. Do you in your wisdom still go ahead to take loans that accrue interest to offset your recurrent cost? No wonder you are not fortunate! If your schools are so poor dont you watch finance discussions on local stations or have access to some sound finance literature? Kid, the previous government had no business taking loans to pay salaries when it raked in absurd revenue from oil. The loan was not even used to undertake any capital project but to pay salary..imagine...dont worry they will go and print money to pay you people with time! You have some unlearning to do boy...you must not finance your budget with loans! |
deji68:I dont owe you any explanations little mind, am not surprised you missed the point... which is taking LOANS when you were raking in billions thereby digging an economic pit for the people to fall into in the near future! Now go away please. |
deji68:Shallow people what do you know...what GEJ did got you into this mess and you want to continue?...if you dont know you are paying for the cheap tomates (since that is what seems to be your problem) available to you during GEJs time now..GEJ was earning like madt from oil and was borrowing to pay salary within that same time and you want him to do what GEJ did? Dont they teach you guys anything in school again in Nigeria? you guys are better off just hawking moimoi or something.. you think the loans your governor takes in the name of the state will just disappear or terminate with his tenure? NO boy, you, your parents, your friends, your community and country would pay back those loans...with your blood and sweat...you can only postpone for sometime but pay you must! |
blueto:You and Reno or Hippo need to shove your stinking bloody opinion up your wretched ass and allow Nigeria to grow or break in peace! Seems you are out-rightly stupid or you are Reno ogiri? Do you lots have no shame? a man oversaw a sacrilege, killed and rendered millions of people homeless because of his cluelessness and thievery and your lots still have the effrontery to remind us about him at the drop of a hat...it shall not we well with all of you! Buhari is a stubborn and stupid man....his distrust for people has made him a slave to his kinsmen...Sanusi has done well, let Buhari keep looking like a slowpoke, he is sitting on a bomb that would soon blow up in his Fulani face...morons! If not for the desperation to get the Ineffectual thieving buffoon out of Aso rock at all cost who would have voted for Buhari? Oshi! |

adconline:Bullshit as expected! A high GDP means nothing if it doesn't translate to improved welfare for the citizens. Am out! |
adconline:All you have written above is crap and its obvious that you are either trivial very mischievous or out-rightly Ignorant! Of what importance is having a large GDP if the people are suffering? What is the income per capita (not CAPITAL) of USA? Once more you say nothing about your earlier voodoo interpretation of the impact of inflation on business owners and salary owners. Olodo! |
AmericanQuarter:See SUGO o...Oboy your belle go soon bust! |
rhymaholic:"Eze na Ukpo" Ozoigbondu, whom Eselu Uga served is not the same as Emeka Offor who is from Oraifite...don't mix things up. |
adconline:You celebrate mediocrity, marketing the immaterial highest GDP in Africa like things were ever close to being well with Nigerians. You are just a mischievous folk, it seems like you have poor sights too; because I outlined in my previous response that the level of the GDP per capita is a more important index for measuring well-being than the GDP as a whole, even though its not the ultimate. I mentioned that GDP per capita is not sufficient because of the possibility of an uneven distribution of wealth, using the Dangotes and the Otedolas as example in the Nigerian case, an economic growth in Nigeria may simply mean that Dangote and his few likes, have made more money. So that answers your blabbing about Gabon, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and a host of other cases. You keep talking about the present government carrying your fake PDP data about like it makes a difference. More over dont you think foreign investors do a rigorous search? Oh you think they just sink the million$ using your manipulated data? Your loud silence on my correction of your voodoo interpretation of the way inflation affects salary earners and business owners is deafening. My point in all of these is that there was and is no basis for celebration at anytime on the performance of the Nigerian economy. The politicians (PDP and APC) have been the beneficiary of growth all this while. |
adconline:Looks like you are hearing voices in your head, because I never made the postulation as highlighted in your post. In the first paragraph, I tried to make it clear to you that the highest GDP in Africa crap by PDP, that has been making you all happy is mischievous and misleading. I stated that a more appropriate criteria to measure genuine progress would be the GDP per capita. Even this does not suffices especially in Nigeria were the Dangotes, Adenuga, Otudeko, and a handful of others account for more than 70% of the countries wealth..(its like saying Nigerians are getting richer because a very microscopic few Nigerians bought private jets) the GDP in this case will not tell you much about the overall wellbeing of the population because of it is skewed. This is the reason the GDP is not sufficient to measure development. The reason I make this point is because its not important and makes no sense to celebrate Nigeria a country with over 182million people with an estimated GDP of $484billion, having a larger GDP than South Africa a country with approximately 55million people with an estimated GDP of $326billion ..what do you get per capita around $2,640 and $5,859 respectively...sourced from wikipedia. PDP used this sensational information which has no impact on outcomes in Nigeria to hoodwink and deceive people to think that they are the leading economy in Africa...any smart person ought see through it. In the second paragraph I stated clearly that inflation erodes value (google the meaning of erode for better understanding), I also pointed out that an increase in price level will affect businessmen differently than it affects fixed income or salary earners. Let me also add that people who were owing prior to the increase in price level pay back less in real value. If the prices of fuel, inputs, commodities, services e.t.c goes up, will a businessman not adjust and sell according to his cost price? Though he may not make as much sale as he used to prior to hike in input commodities, but do you in your wisdom think he will sell or deal at a loss? Same can not be said for a salary or fixed income earner. It takes a long time and in some cases almost impossible to get a pay increase due to an increase in price level and this means salary earners are going to leave with getting less value for their money and not been able to charge more for their own services too...they lose value! Though these point should be intuitive even after I categorically stated that value is eroded... but then, the quality of our education system is so poor and it reflects all over you. In case you are in doubt, a cost push inflation reduces the economic activity in the economy hence the level of output drops. Dont get it mixed up, inflation is bad for economies including Nigerian's, but dont mix up the effects on business owners and salary earners. |
Poor people are easily deceived by fake flamboyant life styles thats why the rich keep catching them mugu. Emeka Offor and the likes of Ifeanyi Ubah made tons of money through patronage of the previous government and to keep the money flowing they invested heavily in the last elections hoping to recoup after the elections. Wait you guys think it was only GEJ and PDP that lost that elections? No! Most big contractors and businessmen you know are now broke. Placing money on the reelection of an incumbent president in Africa is like a surebet, they threw in their soul and body into that elections so that they could reap threefold but they lost unfortunately for them. Analyzing the plausibility of an information based on outcome of events that one has experienced is important for sound reasoning....governments do not patronize people who does not patronize them, so dont be surprised that Emeka Offor has been reduced to a millionaire because of the outcome of the last elections, and a millionaire who keeps flying around in chartered jets wont last long before he becomes a thousandaire. When I was working in the asset management unit of a big investment firm (our cheapest product was 7million) in Nigeria during the elections period and I tell you the liquidations that most of our PDP sympathetic clients made to bankroll PDP was mind blowing...more than 80% lost the funds...including my MD! In fact, some of my personal clients were hospitalized after KANO'S election result was announced! No jokes, If only you guys know how much the likes of Otudeko and Ayeni lost in the last elections you will keep quiet. And to crown it all, the debt profile of most of this shine shine guys you all worship in Nigeria is mind blowing, they are smart guys and they often dont use their money in making investments, they just leverage on their political capital to get projects executed..dont be surprised that all those asset you see are mortgaged. Emeka Offor's known vessels ''The Ekulu spirits'' are soon going to be claimed by the financials... the Addax case is already obvious. |
adconline:You naive lots, a high GDP is not a sufficient criteria measuring development. This bullshit sold to you , ignorant Nigerians by PDP has been making the rounds for a long time now. How can you compare a country of over150million people With a GDP of about halve a trillion dollar with that of SA with a population of 70million? GDP per capita which is derived by dividing the total GDP by the total population is the appropriate criteria for measuring the development of an economy. PDP know how badly the Nigerian economy was performing under them hence the reason for selling ignorant Nigerians the highest GDP in Africa crap. Botswana and South Africa are miles ahead and better developed comparison to Nigeria using the correct indices. Note also that though the situation in the country is very bad (as inflation erodes value) but your analysis of the effect on business owners and salary earners is wrong. The increase in price level affects business men and salary earners differently. If a farmer pays more to transport his products don't you think he would input this cost when selling his wares? Businesses will adjust price to match the current price level but salary earners wont get a pay raise because of an inflation....take note please. |
Diddyydiva:Finally you don win...make we hear word now! |

?...absurd oil revenue indeed i think Google 101 should be offered in secondary schools....for kids like u on internet
