barcanista: You seem to have forgotten that this govr doesn't give a damn about the constitution, or the law and will manipulate it or breach it whenever it deems fit. A simple example is the case of speaker Tambuwal's defection to APC and the manner it was handled by the presidency. If the govt will go as far as firing teargas to the honourable members for Tambuwals defection, tell me what they will not do now that their seat is threatened. The present govt is already playing politics with national security by forcing JEGA to postpone the election, and possibly have more sinister games up its sleeves which Obj and Sahara reporters most likely have a hint on. Don't underestimate the dubious nature of PDP. 12 Likes |

@Barca; You're getting the benefits of doubt because you were one of us - we laughed , cried and fought for what we believed in together. For that you'll always be given a special place. But this path you're treading is ignoble. It is the worst position to be - strategically, as one of the cardinal laws in life, and especially in politics is to be so prepared that there are "no days unalert." And the worst is that, why at this late - after having come this long? "Know the enemy and know yourself, in a hundred battles you'll never be defeated." And, "Don't depend on the enemy not coming; depend rather on being ready for him." So advised Sun Tzu, one of the greatest military strategists the world has ever known. | My broda, I feel sad for this position you're taking. It will only lead to the lose of your reputation. In Nigeria of today, and as a Nigerian, how could you so easily forget that nothing should be taken for granted; that nothing should be taken off the table; that nothing is impossible? 21 Likes |

MalcoImX: I never really took the guy serious when I came back to this forum a month ago. I was surprised he was on progressives side. I once had verbal wrestling with him when he was in PDP's camp. The guy is only trying to appeal to some girls on GEJ's side. I have been watching his moves in the last few weeks trying to appeal to some girls who are staunch supporters of GEJ. He created this thread for that purpose. The barca of a guy should be ignored, henceforth. 18 Likes 1 Share |

StunningCEO: The barcanista of a guy is indeed "enemy within". This thread was created to appeal to some girls who are on GEJ's side. I have been watching his moves. I never took him serious since I came back to this forum after my sabbatical leave. I have had verbal altercation with him many time in 2013 before I left this forum. I was going to take Barcanista head on as I have on other threads in the past even though we are all supposedly for CHANGE, but I have seen prior posts and you guys have done severe justice to the matter at hand. Barca while entitled to his opinions, sometimes appears to be either naive from living abroad (quoting constitution as if it has not being circumvented before) or is a mole (a PDP wolf among APC sheep). I remember the same barca opened a thread quoting how Feb 14 elections were impossible to shift based on the constitution, that he still holds his original views about GEJ's govt after that shift is not acknowledging the reality on ground. He also blamed Jega for the poll shift knowing fully well that Jega would be foolhardy to conduct any elections under the circumstances the military put him under. There's no smoke without fire. Barca may have been compromised. 24 Likes 2 Shares |

Let's all be careful with the wave of propaganda we spread and try to vet each information as it comes using our ability to think critically. For the first time i think Barcanista has proven that he has some decorum and decency in him to filter truth from propaganda. Typically, his fellow progressives have turned on him without considering the message. Obasanjo is a pained man. He has lost everything and there's nothing left for him to hold on to if not to find a backdoor into the power house again. It's not unusual for old men to crave and cling on to power, especially African leaders, (Biya, Ghadaffi, Mugabe, et al). Obasanjo desperately needs power and that is his game plan. I can understand Jonathan has completely frustrated him by making him entirely irrelevant in PDP and weeded all his allies away and that is seriously affecting Obasanjo. "He whom the gods want to destroy, they first make him mad". A normal old Ex-leader should be a statesman and act as an advisory agent to the present leaders but Obasanjo can not do that because in the first place he has no Family to turn to. He is estranged with his children already after sleeping with his son's wife and the public disgrace meted out to him by his daughter. To add insult to injury, the "clueless" one has taught him a very important lesson at his old age. Jonathan has checkmated him using Kashamu Buruji to limit his influence on South-West PDP, (talk of dog fighting dog). And his old nemesis, Tony Anenih is Jonathan's henchman. Jonathan has taken ALL from him and completely dismantled his structures. When Jonathan wins the election (it would hold and he will win!!!), he would have successfully pulled out the greatest coup and the real change in Nigeria's political history. The "clueless" one has stepped on lot of toes, looked at them eyeball to eyeball and demolished them. Little wonder why the whole world is against him. On March 28 a new dawn will emerge in Nigeria's history. The final departure from the scene of the old men that has refused to let Nigeria be, with Obasanjo and Buhari leading the failed packs. APC can keep shouting change all they want and they can keep accusing PDP for 16 wasted years but the facts are barefaced, 80% or more of the erstwhile PDP members that destroyed Nigeria for years are now in the APC. The real change is Jonathan, the "clueless" one. 16 Likes |

barcanista: Obasanjo specifically said Interim government is not recognized by the Nigerian constitution so why are you trying to make it seem as if he is propagating it? It's obvious some people in power are thinking about it. Perhaps the opposition is talking about it now to raise an alarm to prevent it from happening... 5 Likes |

For anyone to think Jonathan has nothing to benefit from ING is beyond being naive. A day they said is too long in politics, how much more 6 weeks. We all know the real reason for the postponement is not about the insecurity in 3 states, it is an attempt to buy more time or a part of a grand plan to scuttle the whole election. Jonathan stands a lot to gain from ING, he wont have to suffer the shame of being the 1st incumbent president to lose an election, and face the risk of GMB exposing his atrocities while in government. Forget about the constitution for now. Amendments can be made overnight. It happened in Zimbabwe and Kenya. If for one reason or the other GEJ succeeds in scuttling the election or creates a problem that prevents him from handling over to the winner, then the National assembly will have not choice but consider ING as a matter of necessity. The opposition has no choice but to be proactive and if possible always be a step ahead of Jonathan. He is certainly not a man that can be trusted in words and actions. The future looks uncertain... But should GEJ suffer the nation this turmoil, I hope he is well prepared for the consequence... I will not speak further. 27 Likes 2 Shares |

OAM4J: Thank you very much. You really got the true picture of things. There is a lot going on in the background. Things are being leaked to Nigerians for a reason. I believe all the Hausa in Jonathan inner circle are leaking things to the opposition. Just on Tuesday, the APC Chairman told the press about an on going meeting at a military barrack in Kaduna where how to rig election was being discussed. The APC Chairman even mentioned name, place and program of that meeting. Things are being leaked for a reason. These Hausas are only with Jonathan in the open but deep down in their minds they are with Buhari and APC. The Hausas who are still with Jonathan at this time are only there for the fact that Jonathan still holds the key to the nation's coffer. 5 Likes |

This Barcanista guy is one ex-apc supporter I respect so much. I used to think he was a blind supporter of that terrorist until my argument with him on one ND topic. The guy bears his mind without apology, it's his opinion after all and I think we should respect that. In these dramas, we have all tried to woo people over to either side, especially those critical undecided voters and I'm sure this move by him will swing many in favour of the PDP, especially his fans. Take it or leave it, this dude is a top-class Analyst and any camp that would have him, will be in possession of a treasure. 1 Like |

barcanista: Only idiots will believe that bro Jona will hand over to the army or ING, rather than Buhari. It just doesn't make sense. Unless if it is to spite Amaechi. Obasanjo is a disgrace to the West and Nigeria. He doesn't behave like a statesman, talkless of elder statesman. Shame on Baba. 2 Likes |

Firstly, Jonathan had told the US Secretary of State Mr John Kerry that the election will be held and a New Government inaugurated come May 29 . Op, [s]The President in his meeting with Kerry commited to Feb 14th, he moved the goalpost to 29th much after the sealed date. If you were insinuating credibility in that statement, its a wash...[/s] Dont worry buddy....self corrected! I jumped the gun! Nonetheless, the president continues to claim lack of awareness and immunity on the actions of his surbodinates who, under his nose, continue to blindfold the constitution in their flagrant distespect for the sovereingty. Did you read Wole Soyinka reaction to the date shift? 1 Like |
