After the usual clearance and other formalities at the Muritala Muhammed airport, Ikeja. Mrs Kimberly Carter-Ashimolowo was cleared to exit the airport with her small handbag. And life they say is no bed of roses. As soon as she stepped out of the airport complex, the sun that greeted her almost made her blind.
"Oh my God!" She exclaimed a little be audibly to herself.
"Welcome to Nigeria." A young man dressed in a white T-shirt and a black trouser said with a smile. The man whose handsomeness could be likened to that of Mark, only that Mark was more heavily built than the handsome man beside her.
"I am Tony." The man said bringing her out of her trance.
"Kim.... Kimberly." She almost stuttered.
Her eyes travelled down to his chest where and ID card was hung to his neck and allowed to run down to his mid chest.
"I work with the FBI." He said when he realised that she was staring at the ID card.
"So nice." She replied.
The two of them walked towards the parking lot where the Tony guy claimed an official car was waiting for him, but on getting to the parking lot, there was no trace of any car marked 'FBI' around.
"I guess the rescheduled flight caused this." Tony sighed in exersperation.
"Please, where can I get something to eat?" Kimberly asked, her tone devoid of the American accent, even though she claimed she was born and brought up in America, an Ethiopian father and an American mother. But the death of her mother early on made her live the majority of her life with her father as there was this thick Ethiopian accent as she spoke. And together, they made their way into an eatery where Tony settled for rice and chicken and Kimberly settled for Chicken and chips.
"I think your husband should have been here, hours before your arrival. What sort of man allow his wife to arrive a country she doesn't know." Tony said between mouthful of rice.
"Blame it on his job. Am sure I will find my way around." Kimberly replied.
"Where does he work?" Tony asked.
As one of the security incentive she was made to understand back in America, if you are a relative of a security agent, do not show off in public.
"Please, you will accompany me to a phone shop as soon as we are done here." She changed the topic.
"No problems, I am at your service."

Daniel walked out of his office, his briefcase in hand and his car keys jingling as he walked.
"Habibat." He called his beautiful secretary who just got transferred.
"Yes sir." Habibat replied with a smile. The kind of smile that could bring a world renowned terrorist on his knees. How much power the smile wields.
"Am going out. I'll be back after lunch hour." He said.
"Okay sir."
"Do I have any pressing issue to attend to between now and my return time?" He asked.
"Hmmmmmm, yes. There is a meeting at twelve with the representatives of WAICOL Asian conpany. The proposed buying off of AIXLE plastic company will hold at two. The representatives and major shareholders of the company are in the building already." Halima explained without taking her eyes off the computer screen from where she read them.
"Fine, you can handle the meeting with WAICOL or better still, postpone it. Get Jimmy of the accounts department to oversee the buying of AIXLE. Hold other appointments, handle the ones you think you can. I'll see you later."
"Have a nice day."
"Um! Yeah. Maybe we could do a lunch date some other time." He said.
"My fiancee." She replied.
He was slapped out of his reverie by a very strong invisible hand.
As soon as her boss stepped out of the hall, she returned to what she was watching before he came out. Pictures of Daniel Martin and his beautiful wife in a romantic state.
The intercom rang.
"Habibat here." She said on picking up.
"Have you seen your oga's pictures?" A female voice asked excitedly.
"Of course I have." Habibat replied.
"Magaret sent them to me too." Halima said.
"I see. We'll talk about it during lunch break." The two ladies giggled excitedly at the prospect of talking about their boss and his wife during lunch.

Its good to have him back at this stage of the story.
