I know it sounds too bad to be true but believe me my sis, just 12 (say's she) is heartbroken. I happened to meet her in her room huggin a pillow and sobbin. Being d one i love most i sought to reach out to her, and being d one she loves most she confided in me. She told me her boyfriend!!!   has called it quits. I was shocked into silence. Altho she is beautiful and intelligent (not dat it matters)She's just finished her Junior Secondary education for Chrissake, so how come she already has a failed relationship at 12?! She said it was her classmate, but i dint want to hear any more and i still dont. If she was anyone else, i would have given her a nice smack and told her to go on crying. I dint want to do or say anything stupid or harsh so i walked out. I'm not good in offerin advice to such stupid love issues, But since i love her, and wud love to preserve our trust i want to tell her something. This one don pass me. Help |

Something is broken in that home, the little kid is missing something that she is looking for in another man out there. A girl needs the love of a man and if the father, the brothers aint giving, she will look elsewhere and most of the times, outside love is all lust and dangerous. 2 Likes |

lol sorry mirage, we live in a world more advanced than that many of us grew up in. At 12 ur sister isnt too young to understand what a relationshhip is but its your duty to guide her. Being angry hasnt solved anything. When you were 12 u werent much better anyway |

@Poster My Advice is that u should not shout on her because it would not solve the case she believes in u that was why she told u so u don't have to let her down so, wat u do is that u advice her that she should forget about the boy and that it is not the right time , that when the time comes that u would let her know, because if u get angry it can Never Solve the Problem Because She is Still a Growing Child  |

I was at the barber's shop recently and i heard a little girl (about 12yo too if not less) reporting her boyfriend to her mom, telling her how the boyfriend had been cheating on her and the mom in turn, tried talking her into eating lunch. It never bothered me anyway considering the fact that it's in a country far ahead of Nigeria but to think same could be happening in Nigeria argh! |

age aint nothing but a number, ur sis could be just 12 but looks more matured than that. but thats by the way honestly, i think ur sis is on the right track in life. definately, i am sure she might not have been in a sexual relationship with this guy so lets not all just frown at the fact that a 12 yr old girl is in a relationship. the fact that she is 12 yrs old does not mean that she will not have feelings. as long as she is in or has experienced puberty makes it inevitable 4 her to develop feelings for the opposit sex. all she needs is ur guidiance. belive me, whatever u advice her now will be of great help to her. help her guide these feelings in order not to b misled. the hearbreak is just a little faze she might laugh at soon, but it will go a long way in making her avoid so many mistakes in future. |

@ Poster, You'd do best to take the bull by the horn and give her the sex talk. You should find out if she has already started sleeping with the boy etc. It's better you broach all the necessary safe sex talk head on o, because wishing that it goes away or burying your head in the sand may not be best and better safe than sorry (I know sex at 12 sounds ludicrous, but still ask). |

Start off by telling your sis that u r so sorry that she had to experience this. Tell her she is greatly loved and that she surely will experience great love during her life but now is not the best time 4 it. Assure her that she is loved and worth only the best and that the best is worth waiting for. Tell her that when she is mature and ready love will find her. Until then enjoy being a girl. Those years are over too soon. |

I suggest you call her and talk to her. It's a good thing she opened up to you. Find out from her why she got into the relationship in the first place, does she really know what she wants? Encourage her to have healthy, normal relationship with responsibly boys i.e normal friendship. Let her know that at her age, boys will only go into relationship with her just for sex. Ask her her if got into it in the first place for sex or just for companionship. If its for sex, warn her of the dangers of premarital sex, if its for companionship, then let her know she can have just friends without strings attached and not necesarily getting into a relationship. |
