Rather than strive to build and peacefully develop Niger Delta to become another Dubai, some Africans/ Nigerian people prefer to talk tough and make threats. When the bombs and bullets start flying you create another Yemen . Europeans, Chinese, Americans and the rest of the world will just go back to their place and say "silly Africans destroying their place again." Niger Delta people will have no where to run to. Grow up people. |

If what am hearing/reading is actually true, then, I think bombing these guys to me should not be the first alternative. I had expected the GMB led government to liase with the Niger Delta (ND) region especially their leaders/elders to explain to them, the need to give peace a chance, so as to develop the region. By so doing, these people will feel a sense of belonging/love and work with or support GMB in his administration. Already people of ND see GMB as an enemy, so the first step to take should have being dialogue. You can't develope a region if you don't the people's support. I am not from Niger Delta but still do not support bombings here and their. If the oil where in the North, hmmmmmmmnnnn northerners would have held the entire nation to a ransome. I feel its too early to star bombing people. You can't bomb a region that is feeding you. #TeamMiddleBelt# 2 Likes |

richommie: sure deal with criminality there. criminality should not be a way of life but dude you'd be biting too much if you turn you arsenal away from where it presently is and then face it to the Niger Delta. just deploy some of your arsenal down south to curtail criminality. ..datz all |

dollarlander:Your analysis is as senseless as Buhari himself who is the self acclamed Oldest Wine of our time. The Militants can turn down the economy in no time and country will go down. The Niger Delta have more deadly youths more than before. Even if Aseri is not there, the next youths are enough to crumble this country. times have changed. If you think Buhari who still remained the highest killer and jailed the highest number of Nigerian will still do that this time around, he will just rot away in jail. Damn |

LoveMachine: Guy this is an unprovoked airstrike...Buhari is asking for trouble . If u say some ""suspected terrorists are in a certain area, send ground troops to fish dem out. ordering an airstrike where people live is massive st.upidity. buhari wants an end to amnesty n has already ended the Niger deltan vigilante groups that get paid for guiding pipelines....... He asked for it n Oohh yes, he will get it 10 fold. |

edgeproduk: I did not say they can't fight the group of people who are ready to die. I'm comparing the ease of Nigerian armed forces finishing Niger Delta miscreants to the time it will take to wipe out boko haram. Yes of course boko haram will disappear but it will take more time than it will take to remove Niger delta disgruntled elements in the creek. You can crumble the Niger Delta economy because you believe Nigeria economy depends on her solely. Yes you are right but remember, the economy is fast undergoing diversification and the price of oil in the international market is no longer attractive. All the destruction of oil facilities will tell on the Niger delta itself, her future and her development. If you like you can destroy your selves who cares. |

Imagine the statement. Niger Delta millitants are "taking up arm" when we are yet to hear of any major crises in the region. I guess boko haram hav lay down their arms. Imagine the JTF want to hyper the relative peace in the region. I mean they are looking for crises in the region. |
