God is still on the throne. My earnest desire is that the eyes will see again. A nairalander told me just yesterday (in a totally unrelated discussion) of how another nairalander regained his sight after loosing it for about 12years. Immediately I heard/read that testimony, I lifted my voice in prayers for this young chap. I believe and pray that the good Lord will do to him and better too what He did for the other nairalander. Thank you volunteers, thank you Caracta, thank you softandmoist (I kinda like this username)  thank you tearoses. Thank you everyone.1 Like |

They are seeing the ophthalmologist now. Unfortunately, consultations are held in strictest confidence so I cant sit in. I'm sure from this point on, the volunteer would give the feedback to TEHN. Good evening everyone A big thank you to the Volunteer, Softandmoist, Metro Eye Clinic, Tehn and to everyone else who has encouraged and supported this cause. I cant thank you enough. God bless you all. This is the update from the Volunteer. We arrived this morning and were able to see the Optometrist and the following ensued: 1. Tomiwa has had a surgery at LUTH when he was 10 months old. According to the parents, the surgery was paid for by an "sponsor". After the surgery, they were supposed to keep going for updates and follow-ups at LUTH but they did not due to funds challenges. The few times they were able to go, LUTH doctors were on strike. 2. They are not in possession of medical reports, payment receipts and test results from that surgery as this because this was collected by one of the doctors on the intent to provide to the sponsor. This means his medical history information is not available as the Doctor wanted to have an idea of what had transpired before. 3. He performed some tests today and his statement is quoted below verbatim “ We should take him back to LUTH to see the specialist (pediatric Ophthalmologist) who did the surgery and that from where he stands, there are only three places that can handle his case, which are LUTH, Mecure hospital and Eye Foundation hospital. I think you should concentrate on getting him enrolled in a school for the blind to empower him for the future" . 4. From my assessment, this is in the event that restoration of sight is not possible. The Keyword here is that is his opinion and note the word “think”. 5. He wrote a prescription which the hospital does not have in stock. I will obtain this and find a way to get it to the parents. This prescription will be uploaded later. 6. To the best of my knowledge, the school of the Blind is at Surulere and quite unfortunately, they only accept kids that are 7 years old and above. I don't know if they can be persuaded to accept him being that he’s 4 years old. I will send u their contact if/and when needed. This is where we are everybody 3 Likes 3 Shares |

@tearoses, NOTED!!! But can we try getting to LUTH and try seeing the doctor that performed the surgery? Believe that would conclude the matter.
