The thread doesn't appear derailed to me. . . .maybe one of the other mods cleaned up? @ dayokanu - the thread is about meeting iice - any conversation relating to meeting iice or getting to know her better is not derailment. @Dobo, If we are going to be fair in this issue why should anybody be banned or have posts deleted for derailment if that thread I showed you is not enough derailment. Could it be due to the "Calibre' of people on the thread. Since its about meeting iice anything is allowed? Thats not a sound argument. The thread that was cleaned I dont see how its worse than the iice thread. I can understand if you say some people cant be touched or some threads cant be touched. I still remember the war when admin was cutting down threads over 100 pages and that particular thread was left for a long time. |

I want to assume the moderator has not been on this thread in the last couple of hours to clearly see that this thread has been derailed in itself. In my view, the Dating and Meet Up is the latest version of Nairaland Offtopic. Most threads there serve no purpose to the forum and it is an avenue for chit-chat for some ''nairaland untouchables''.  If the complaint stated by Gab in that thread as given by the link from dayokanu (alongside his complaints), cannot be taken up and looked into, then, this section smacks of a cabal of posters who use the privilege of being moderators for their own selfish inclinations. Why must a moderator make this rather surreptitious condescending statement:Exactly, small village and everybody must not insert themselves in every nook and cranny.on that same thread? Does this mean some thread are meant for the exclusive preserve of some posters and if you are not in their league, you should and would be ignored? What then is the point to the thread? If threads have been locked in times past, and posters banned for derailing threads, then, I believe the same justice should be measured to whichever thread and section and posters even if they are moderators on this forum. My submission. |

Hope y'all had a happy easter. . . . I was away a bit, but now I can resolve a few of the outstanding issues, @ Isu ata I have had a conversation with iice - she locked your thread because there were two other '190/alex-babe' threads already created. Since duplication of topics is not beneficial to nairaland and is against the forum rules, she locked the thread. Please discuss issues relating to them on the existing threads. I hope this resolves your issue. @ 4play 4 Play: I have received no such request - as an old member you should know that the appropriate method for reporting erring members is using the 'report to moderator' button. Seun has banned her previously for the gifs. . . .personally I have no beef with them. As always, you can contact the admin directly if you need to via his website/email address available at the foot of every page on nairaland. I will post shortly to address DK and Pataki's grouse. |
