Some items suspected to be a "sacrifice" was found this morning in front of the office of a Ladoke Akintola Univeristy of Technology (LAUTECH) professor.

The fetish item was discovered this morning by students of the institution who raised an alarm. The sacrifice was reportedly placed in front of the office of Prof. A.A Akingbade, a senior lecturer in the faculty of Agricultural Science of the institution.

Prof Akingbade is also the current chairman of the Examination Malpractice Panel of the institution.

Another sacrifice was also placed in front of one of the classrooms in the university located in Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

EFCC Arrests Suspected Internet Fraud Kingpin in Umuahia

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office have arrested a suspected internet fraud kingpin, Onwuzuruike Kingsley Ikenna (a.k.a Nwanta Anayoeze Yonaracha).

The suspect was arrested in his residence on Uzuakoli Road by Umuada Junction, Umuahia, Abia State on January 26, 2020, following intelligence on his alleged fraudulent internet activities.

Ikenna's specialty is Business Email Compromise (BEC) and identity fraud. His victims allegedly include a major United States bank.

Properties linked to the suspects include a mansion with swimming pool, a petrol station and nine units of three bedroom apartments, all in Umuahia and a palatial bungalow in his village.

Tope Akinde, an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, took his own life by hanging on the side of a billboard covered by a mango tree on Saturday morning.

The incident happened around Salvation bus stop, Opebi, Ikeja. According to reports, he was recently redeployed from his Alausa base, but was not happy about the redeployment. .

However, his elder brother claimed that he had been suffering from mental instability for a while and the family had been managing it before his death.

His corpse has since been retrieved and deposited at IDH Hospital, Yaba mortuary by the Lagos State Ambulance Service.

Three Nigerian guys have been arrested by the Tema Port Authorities in a failed stowaway attempt to Spain.

The 3 guys, Isaac Daniel 32, Stephen Nuta 28 and Kelvin Popoola 26 are currently in police custody following their arrest.

They outsmarted port security in Apapa Port, Nigeria and sneaked onboard the vessel MV Unity, with the conviction that the vessel was headed towards Spain.

Unfortunately for them the vessel was headed to Tema Port in Ghana to deliver general goods.

The security men at Tema Port spotted them hiding in a small space behind the vessel’s propeller with hammer, alcoholic beverages and provisions in their possession.

One of the arrested suspects, Isaac Daniel isn’t a first time offender having been arrested for similar offense in 2019.

A 40-year-old Islamic Cleric identified as Wasiu Faruq has been arrested by the Kwara State Police command for brutalizing a 10-year-old boy with a hot pressing iron.

The Islamic cleric who left the boy with injuries perpetrated the said act at Onilaru area of Ogidi in Ilorin, Kwara State's capital.

According to eyewitness, Abdulafeez Nurudeen, a 10yr old boy was molested by a 40yr old Alfa Named Wasiu Faruq. This happened in Ilorin at Onilaru area, Ogidi.
