I thought Drogba's absence was more problematic than Lampard's. Every time a ball was played forward, the Bolton defense won it. That does not happen with Drogba on the pitch. Anelka is just ineffective as a lone striker in a 4-3-3. Also, the midfield did not defend for those ten minutes of maddness. The ball was simply played forward and Chelsea tried to defend with Carvalho and Terry.
