i once witnessed a labour situation around 4am in the morning. no vehicle to convey her to the hospital. evryone was a novice so nobody knew what to do. even the ladies ran away. we had to go and hustle for a vehicle and accompany her to the hospital. her screams were horrific, it kept ringing in my ears for days. i dnt think i wnt to do that again! |

I did go Into the labour room when our first child was born I even went in with a cam coder( though I only started recording when he came out) It was beautiful, an amazing experience. After that.... I had more respect for women Now our second child is on the way and I intend to do same too At least in future, if they start misbehaving in future, I would just bring out the cam coder and show them.... Telling them that I could have easily snuffed life outer them.... But on a serious note... It was an amazing experience and I encourage all men to go into the labor room if given the opportunity 2 Likes |

I have 5 kids and my super husband has been there in the delivery room for all of them. He actually sees the baby before me. It has made our marriage stronger and he appreciates me and I do like wise. I can't imagine what being in labour all alone must feel like. Pls be there to hear the first cry of your baby and watch the baby take his/her first breath 1 Like |

Midehi: That is not a difficult task.I was with my wife when she went into labour.God bless women o.it was an action movie. The pains wey dem dey go through no be small thing.one moment she is asking me to hold her and the next moment she is shouting I should let go and get out. As an engineer who has witnessed so much in life my mind strong pass steel.I held her hands in the labour room during delivery and encouraged her to push while I mopped the sweat from her forehead and I really pitied her.The midwife kept on telling her when to push and to prevent her from having tears she had to use their surgical scissors to cut her womanliness twice.Out of curiosity I watched and I said so I don dey become surgeon today.when the baby's head was about coming out the midwife asked me to encourage my wife to give one last push.na so I say baby please push and I move go see how the baby was coming out.the head all covered with blood and me I no even recognize wetin dey come out as I wonder weda na black stone covered with blood.it was actually his hair and the little head came out while the midwife turned the head slowly, the shoulder, limbs and other parts came out and I saw a little baby. Alas I heard the scream as my little boy inhaled his first breathe of air for my complicated country and I hugged my wife and knelt down to thank Baba for giving us the gift of life.I waited for him to be cleaned up and the midwife said the baby has to be fed. Na im I say lai lai make una let me hold my son. I carried my heir ,knelt down and prophesied into his life and raised him up to God and gave thanks to the father for giving me a son whose future will be brighter than mine. Then I handed him to his mum so that he can feel the warmth of the great woman who carried him in her womb for nine months .He weighed 4.0kg Na so I hand am over to nurse make dem give am baby milk while I called family members and friends to break the good news . I was still in the labour room while the placenta came out and her womanliness was stitched.I escorted the placenta to the toilet and flushed it.I remember say Chinese people dey chop am. Though I was told a man fainted in that same labour room even before his wife delivered and the nurses kept on wondering how I kept my nerves. If u no get liver u no fit witness am.I am looking forward to my wife's next delivery. As usual I will be in that labour room with her. I am from the heart beat of the nation.my liver dey kampe. 9 Likes 1 Share |

AikayDaWrapper:I agree that u may pass out, cos of all d blood and escruciating pain, but plz dont use d word 'NASTY' to describe this wonderful event of a child being brought into d world. The atmosphere in a labour /delivery room can be very emotionally overpowering, but trust me, watching ur child/a child being born is one of d most beautiful/magical things to witness. (for those who can stand d blood and pain). My husband tried to stay for our first but it was very difficult for him, he was with me untill the pain got unbearable, i actually noticed him shed a tear b4 he patted me on d back and said. "I will be in d reception" b4 rushing out. He just hung around d hospital until i gave birth. That has bn our pattern. . So yes, for some men, it can be very daunting. 1 Like |

I will try as much as i can to be there... We will both as a couple talk about it because i have the intention of recording the video and showing it to my future kids how their lives all began... Life is precious with very many moments and this one should be one of the best of them. Bringing in a child into the world |

eromspete: Your recording wont be complete without the Intimacy session. since it a very interesting part of how it all began. Mtchew.......if you don't know when, how to use a camera. Go on a cliff, jump and record your fall. it is better than the mess u want to put ur wife in. |

I join her 4 d child's dedication but d labour xperience is not ma field of expertise......d best I can do is to start encouraging her frm d. day we discover shez pregnant to d day labour surface but not following her inside labour bkos I neva see were teacher dey do revision inside exam hall I'll rada stay out & b interceding 4 her....save delivery to Ãℓℓ NL pregnant mums, baby mamas & dos dat got preggy as a result of pre or xtramarital affairs |

It's an amazing experience. Been there three times and that was eight years ago. Try it and you will forever appreciate your woman and women generally despite their diarrhea infected mouths. Little wonder I can hardly imagine putting my wife through it the fourth time. |
