Broiler Doc at its all time highest prices between 360-370 with some hatchery without Doc broilers or very very small quantity hatched


This year Xmas sales will be very interesting for those who stocked

Again prices of day old keep on the raise with indications that prices might range between 360-400 come Thursday 18 September 2018 this is very very serious

Disciplined compliance with drugs and vaccine program is very essential in poultry as it help ward off diseases which are preventable no need to assume but proactiveness is a great sign

Oga Neo, how are you doing. I ve a problem with my 3weeks birds.they have had cough that have lingered, I ve treated with almost all the cough drugs but it still persists. How do I go about this, as this have made me not to administer gumboro.

The birds are on dogzygen and emberzyne since yesterday.seems it is reducing.

Oga neo.. I got 4weeks old broiler from someone who told me that she had completed vaccination. Am not so sure and would want to repeat the 2nd lasota.. Hope it won't cause a problem for them

Dz birds are 8wks & their size isn't encouraging, a vet. doc. in my area said I should minimize their water intake & am wondering.
pls how do I stop their watery pooing.

As a matter of fact I would advice u repeat d lasota just to be double sure

Yes. I gave them drugs according 2 ur prescription on page 22. D poo is watery & whitish. Just finished giving them pantacox & teyracine.

I was giving them chikun feeds bt changed 2 Top feeds presently.
I give them 1bag a day.

You don't need to reduce your water to stop watery poo, broilers need enough water and feed for best results.
But I for what u described I will advice you get Amprolium for them girls e two teaspoon to four liters of water for five days, let me know d out come.
Then your feeding needs to step up maybe you should provide more feeder or reduce d amount of feed you put at a time to avoid feed wastage and achieve greater results

In raising birds always try to avoid water liter wet like can be a vehicle to convey many infectious disease into the poultry house, so the neater and dry your poultry house is d lesser d chances of contamination

Buying four weeks old is not bad but not knowing d history of the birds is really bad

When you are targeting Xmas sales make sure you don't compromise feeding because you will have many other competitors on the d day and size and neatness will surely play a great deal

Swollen eyes, bleeding with tears sometimes white mucor is coming out is very common with birds now, in case u notice such kindly say it here with pictures attached

Also, how much will it take to raise 50 DOCs for the 4weeks, plus feeding and all (I'm planning to go organic though)?

No clear cut of how much to spend because of unstable Doc price but if u have a brooder, feeders,drinkers,charcoal and ant other needed materials then I will advice u budget 2 bags, and keep 5k for drugs for d four wks

Please what can I do to speed up the growth rate if my broilers. I got them late September and i am not too happy with their size
