My current US visa is expiring in 7 days time and I want to renew it using conference as my reason for travel (already have invitation letter).

My wife has never had US visa and I intend to take her along with me for the conference. We've both applied for B1/B2 and included her in the visa appointment.

My question is that, will I be interviewed again for renewal because I am adding my wife to the application who has never collected US visa before?

How will I know if am to use dropbox if am not going for the interview?

I have been following this thread since the day I knew I would be going for a training in the USA, read the whole thread and some of part1.
I have screenshots of virtually every transcript on my phone..lol
Had my interview earlier this week and my visa was approved.
There was this VO, been rejecting people and I was quietly praying in my mind not to be interviewed there.
There was this man that was rejected and he kept shouting " I will die, I will die oh, ahhhhhhh!!! Ahhhhhh!!!, I am not qualified keh " in my mind I was like is it by force to go to USA ni
The queue kept moving, lo and behold I was told to go to same VO rejecting people( Jesu!!). Before me was a man, his wife and four kids. The VO asked for letter of invitation he said he didn't bring it oh, but it's in his phone and his phone is not with him(guys please, go with any document you feel is necessary ), VO : OK what's the name and DOB of the person that invited you, he couldn't provide... You know the verdict already.
Then my turn
VO: (with a smile) Good morning, please move forward.
Me: Good morning, how is your day going hope not so stressful?
VO: ( with a smile) Not Bad
Vo: where are you going
Me: New York
Vo : why?
Me: I am attending bla bla training on bla bla organized by bla bla. It's a bla bla course on bla bla bla. This training will combine lectures with hands on practical and computer.... (vo cuts in, let's slow down a little bit) . Lol
VO:Where is your invitation
Me: I presented invitation, payment invoice and telex copy of payment made by my company.

Guys, be truthful and confident, seriously it's not difficult. Take it as not a do or die. If you

Congrats to you.... The typing has to do with documenting things you are saying during the interview.

If you opt for the Dropbox, she will go for interview on her own, if you opt out of the Dropbox option, especially for the fact that you want to attend her interview with her, you both can go for interview and of course you then must face an interview. The choice is yours.

Abuja used to allow you come in with your family in the past for an interview if you have a valid visa, dunno if they still allow that, that would have been a better
and more comfortable option for you in the sense that you should have renewed yours via Dropbox and still 'escort' her to her interview.

I have been denied US visa 3 times and it pains me when ever I realize how much they are making through Nigerians because most of us lack the necessary package that can facilitate a positive outcome during US interview.
I therefore seek for profeional advice from this house to make sure I don't keep repeating my mistakes nor get denied again. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP.

I first applied for B1/B2 in 2015 and was denied. I went through the help of an agent and I guess that was where my problem started. The agent packaged me to me married with 1 kid and work with a salary of N500,000.. I was given an invitation letter and also filled in the DS160 that I know some one in the USA. ( all my interview location is at ABUJA)

it was just a vacation trip and i stated in the form to spend 2 weeks in the states. I described my duties very well in the DS 160 form and when the VO asked me about my job I answered like a professional and explained my duties and daily actives for her.
she asked me the state where I was suppose to visit I told her TEXAS and gave my reasons that I was going to visit my uncle who's wife just gave birth so I could spend my vacation with them over there for 2 weeks. ( I was denied the visa)

The 2nd time I used almost the same info but the deference was that I was promoted to the rank of a manager in my work place. I was denied again. mean while I have a legitimate travel record to South Africa and Dubai.

The 3rd time I applied booking a hotel resavation in Hilton texas hotel and yet was denied. all the interview I have attended, they never asked me too many question. the questions are just..

Meanwhile, you can have your vacation in Europe too.

am a GM in a business firm,what am i supposed to choose as my PRIMARY OCCUPATION.
have tried debating and sombody says i should just choose others and write GM in the space provided.

Someone pleeease give a reply to this so i can conclude my DS160 form and book a date for interview,the days are running too fast.
I have already booked a hotel because i know is a most,but i dont know about flight.
Found it a little difficult getting a hotel around the area my convention would hold as many people will be coming from all around the globe.

They keep track of all the information you have filled from the very first interview,that's why agents are bad, they are the ones who has made lots of people loose their credibility and cash in visa processing.

My advice is that, you should visit the very first application, "if the foundation is weak, what can the righteous do"?... If you must reapply, tell the VO about the misrepresentation in your first application stating you used an agent.

Also, don't keep changing informations, it brings suspicion

Your uncle, how did he get to the US? If he went with a B1/B2 and updated his status, it will count against you, be sure about that part too. If you don't arrest these issues, good travel experience will not save you..
Finally, just put it that you want to clear the issues with the VO, even if you don't get it, future one may favor you, and you may even get it, if you PRAY and believe

You misrepresented on three different interviews. You’re pretty much screwed. Everything you said is recorded for life... you better find a wife and one kid.

Until you own up to your Misrepresentation and stop looking for " packaging" you shall remain in the desert. The VOs recently answered about Scenarios like this within the last 20-30 pages. Stop looking for inbox messages . Read. Learn. Apply.

Do I write in the da160 that I used agent , then go to the interview to confess or should I still write what I wrote before... then go to the VO and confess? For the record coming out straight do I have to confess on the ds160 form? the uncle I stated in the form is not my uncle it was packaged to me by the agent .. when I googled the man I could not even find his address.. or any record of the address which the agent wrote in the da160.. therefore I feel the uncle info is lies... so in this case should I say that I don't know any body and go to confess or what? Nothing else has changed in my status since the last application..

Take your time, read the thread: you will find many examples. See how other people came clean.
When you do fill your DS160, you need to fill the truth, the truth and nothing but the truth. Same thing with the interview. That's how to make amends with your perpetual records with the US. Once you can abide with the truth, the truth will set you free.
I dare say that visa or no visa, you will find more peace. Doing the right thing has it's own rewards.
