ISpiksDaTroof: with all due respect Oga, if it's on your so called states , will he still be in detention till now with out been charged to court. Remember this is not a terrorist case or treason , he is innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law. |

..i said it!! The statement Oliseh tore was a concocted testimony the EFCC gave him to sign!! We know how such rubbish work even in police stations. After a victim is tortured they bring a false statement for you sign as statement to get you really roped in. And then they ran to the media with the news that Metuh tore his statement . Sorry APC, to think everyone reasons like Almajiris or the Dullard who tells you what to do 1 Like |

Sagamite: I don't get you. The rule of law is the rule of law. I don't see any sincerity in holding him without charge, by the dishonest use of magistrate courts to issue nebulous holding warrants. This is a gross abuse of executive powers and the corrosion of our judicial process. It's laughable that so far, after 7 months in power, we have not seen the smoking gun with regards to unravelling and recovering stolen funds. Trial by innuendos is what we are seeing so far. Why haven't, for example, Olu False , Tony Aninih, even Femi Adesina, been arrested and held without charge for also receiving monetary largesse for the purpose elections ? I really want Buhari to tackle and slay corruption. This fight can only be effective if is done correctly and sincerely. |

plaetton:I hate commenting on issues like this on public forum because nigerians are too tribalistic and sentimentally but in this case I can't just help it. Its so sad that we allow sentiments to cloud our ability to make subjective reasoning. Sorry to say but a whole lot of us are either too silly or we lack any mental capacity to make logical reasoning A ruling party member accepted collecting public funds for running errands for an elected public office holder and nobody sees anything wrong with that, in a saner environment that alone is enough for self acceptance of being guilty of corruption And it is totally irresponsible for a law abiding citizen that he claimed he to be to decline answering questions from an law enforcing agency that alone is incriminating. These people deserves whatsoever is befalling them they have caused a whole lot of harm pls stop defending them |

General Mohammedu Buhari, commander in Chief of the arm forces, federal republic of Nigeria, should obey court order, and follow the rule of law, this will make the democracy of the country stronger, there should be separation of powers as well too. 1 Like |

GreatSE:Constitution provides for continued detention of criminal suspects(murder stealing etc) in police detention all that's needed is to go to court. And this was done by Efcc they went to a magistrate court and the judge granted their prayer. |

cktheluckyman:This is what nigerian youth has turned to. U are hailing a thief. What a shame? If it were to be someone on the street who stole little things like phone, shoes or wallet people like u will want to give him gungle justice to kill him. But because this is a big man who collected diverted funds but u are already saying ranka dede. What a shame? A thief that has no shame. God will purnish all of them. Menthu collected 400 million naira he could not tell the whole world what he used the money for. God will purnish Olisa menthu. |

jnrremedy:Nooo sir. You have it upside down. Firstly, no one here is holding brief for corruption, irrespective of who is involved. But, lets examine the facts. There is nothing untoward about the president using poliical surrogates to run errands for him. The source of the funds is the issue. Shouldn't the person who disbursed the funds be in the best position to answer where the funds came from and what they were for ? If you know anything about law, the rule of law, you wouldn't be say what you are saying. Given that he hasn't been charged, Metueh has no obligation to make statements that may incriminate himself, considering that he doesn't know the motive and the direction of this blind fishing expedition. But, why hasn't he been charged, and where in the civilised world is a person held for more than 48hrs without being charged? Holding him, with the hope of breaking his spirit is malicious prosecution, and only shows that EFCC doesn't do their homework, their investigative due diligence , before arresting a suspect. There is Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Metuh is a political prisoner. It's important to note that since 1999 , Nigeria has not had a political prisoner till this present regime. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Owoplenty: Exactly. You can imagine a thief ranting while in custody. You accepted you collected money from the Presidency who asked you to do a job of which you claimed the job was done and you have the gut to say that it was nobody's business how you spent the money unless they take you to court. Because he has seen that we have no judiciary hence he wants to go to court. Metuh, Dasuki and all those that collected the so called arm funds, should be publicly executed. 2 Likes |

I feel disheartened and troubled that some people have allowed sentiment and ethnicity to cloud their sense of reasoning. A suspect claimed to have received certain amount of money for a job delivered to the former President but cannot disclose the details... And both persons are still in the country! The Judiciary arm of government is a major decider in bringing corrupt government officials to justice but experience over the last sixteen years have revealed otherwise. Serious cleansing is surely needed to flush out corrupt judges and lawyers as experienced in Ghana recently. No one is above the law 1 Like |

plaetton:You are wrong my friend political surrogates shouldn't run errand with public funds. He claimed the assignment given to him was personally given by Gej and he collected funds from a government agency. The president has no power to unilaterally award government funded contrats/job to someone not a government worker if he does he is acting in his own private capacity and so should use his private funds. Metu is a lawyer he can't claim he is ignorant of that fact. Remember both the giver and taker of bribe are guilty |
