Whenever I am ready to build a house, solar-powered inverter system is going to be part of the budget from the onset. I think it is easier to include it in the budget and get it done from the onset than trying to do it later after some years. The cost can be discouraging.

So for me, the house will not be considered complete until the inverter system is up and running.
No time to wait for PHCN.

Even if PHCN improves, the inverter will still be useful because it will save cost on electricity bill.

Igbtechnologies:
Just a few tips that might be helpful if you are on the way to get an inverter in your home.

Polarity Protection: Check if the Inverter has polarity protection so that in an even that you make wrong connection by mistake, it will trip off and avoid damages to your devices.

In build Charger: Although, These modern inverters comes with in-build Charger but it good to still check because some inverters are not in-build charger.

Pure Shine Wave: To me, It is either Pure Shine wave Or Never, Its good and safe for all your Electronics .Other wave like Square Wave have irritating noise and also devices get heated up which is not good.

Load: The amount of load you put on it is very important, if you are buying for example 1KVA or 1000 Watt, Use 600 or 700 watt. There should always be a gap in case any surge, the inverter will have the strength to withstand it.Also, you are stressing up the coil by using the entire watt. So if you are going for 2500 watt, be sure to use 2100 and reserve 400 watt etc.

Adenuga @ 63: The power of silence
By Louis Odion, FNGE
One of the enduring puzzles of Nigeria's political narrative of the past seventeen years is undoubtedly the Third Term saga. It is perhaps a fitting tribute to the pervasive culture of amnesia today and a shame on the nation's indolent intelligentsia that, ten years after that attempted political heist, no documentation of note - official or independent - yet exists to preserve its grotesque memory. Nor are there any signs today that a symbolic rite - like a colloquium - will hold tomorrow in remembrance.
Yet, TTA (Third Term Agenda) sign-posts a defining moment in the evolution of current democratic experience. By the depth of perfidy and the breadth of chicanery, its historical parallel would only be Ibrahim Babangida's convoluted transition programme which literally dragged the nation up-hill and down the valley for years, eventuating tragically in the June 12 annulment of 1993.
Till date, without shame, Olusegun Obasanjo has continued to live in denial. Even in the face of numbing proof, he insists at no time did he seek - nor was he aware of attempts - to elongate his stay in power. History however mocks that big lie. For, the body interred in the shallow grave still has its bruised toes sticking out.
Intoxicated by a false sense of messianism, the Ota chicken farmer had sought to turn Nigeria to a banana republic and make himself emperor for life. Not content with a second term of office as elected president, he coveted more. A "national conference" was hastily cobbled together. For months in 2004, a motley crowd of "eminent" Nigerians cutting across all the divides camped at taxpayers' expense in Abuja to deliberate and fashion a new corporate charter that would hopefully plug the sundry cleavages and effectively weld all the disparate tendencies into a truly united nation.
The naive were swift in rendering a standing ovation for the "father of modern Nigeria" for finally finding what they considered an ingenuous formula to fix, once and for all, the knotty National Question for which militants of Nigeria's progressive community had waged relentless battles for ages.
But the truth soon unravelled after the panel wound up and submitted its voluminous reports to the crafty paymaster at the Villa. It did not take long before the hidden agenda unfurled. Legislative hirelings like Ibrahim Mantu (aka "the magician"wink took over. Before the nation knew what was happening, an extraneous clause seeking to remove the cap on term limit for elected public officers had found itself in the executive bill tabled before the National Assembly!
In all, the proposal contained over a hundred provisions, some of which were otherwise thoughtfully progressive. But the inclusion of the "Third Term" clause contaminated every other thing.
Its promoters left nothing to chance. To other sitting public office holders already growing apprehensive, a sweet bait was dangled: "It's of general application". Meaning: "automatic ticket" for everyone. To federal lawmakers expected to undertake the dirty job by simply following the cues from magician Mantu, a humongous war-chest had been provided. Those who acquiesced - who were in the majority - were plied with staggering bribes ranging from N50m to N100m. Thus were billions of tax-payers' money incinerated.
For clarity, it must be stressed that TTA actually failed not because of paucity of bribe to induce anyone willing to collude. It collapsed under the weight of its own treachery due more to the many acts of courage and defiance by few patriots who overtly and covertly pooled resources - both material and intellectual - to defend the territory of democracy. One of the unsung heroes of that momentous moment is Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr.
This history is dredged up today partly in memory of the tenth anniversary of TTA's demise and partly as tribute to the courage of Adenuga who, by the way, turns 63 next week. In fairness, there were countless others who stood up to be counted against TTA. Why Adenuga's is significant is the character he showed at a colossal risk.
As was the practice in those imperial days, the power of the presidency was invoked indiscriminately to summon people to all kinds of meetings with little or no clue given as per the agenda. It was at one of such nocturnal meetings that Adenuga, fondly called the "Guru" or the "Bull" in the corporate world, reportedly ran into trouble. By then, TTA had coasted into bad weather on account of mass resistance from across the land. The nocturnal strategists thought it auspicious at this point to co-opt key players in the economy.
Not surprising, the evil design was elegantly disguised and introduced as "the urgent need to sustain Baba's good economic reforms". Stripping the funny masquerade bare and describing it starkly as Obasanjo's inordinate quest for life presidency would easily have put decent people off. So, it has to be put nicely as seeking constitutional amendments to "deepen the reforms already started", some of which fruits were already being harvested bountifully and savored in earnest by all and sundry.
At the said historic meeting, while the conveners, as usual, rambled on and on and the horde of sycophants present joined in parroting the need to "sustain the reforms", Adenuga's continued silence, as the story goes, unsettled the gathering. It was too obvious the Bull was battling hard to conceal the embarrassment of finding himself in such slimy company of political pimps and scavengers. When finally he broke his silence, his words were chillingly cold. He was for reforms to grow the economy, right. But his candid view was that getting the constitution changed overnight to enable Baba continue in office would be a tough call. His own take: are there no other options by which the reforms can be sustained?
There was a pin-drop silence after Adenuga spoke candidly.
Alas!, the only exhibit the sharks had longed for had finally fallen in their laps. No sooner had the company dispersed than the tale-bearers rushed to Obasanjo's lair to brief him how, of all the rich men in town prospered by Baba's reforms, Adenuga was the only ingrate opposed to rewarding him with extended stay in office. From that point, the Globacom boss became a marked man. (Needless to say that was the last time he was reportedly invited to the Third Term's "strategy meeting".)
By listing Adenuga among the reforms beneficiaries, what they actually meant was the rise of Globacom. To many however, it is debatable if Obasanjo can justifiably appropriate the glory only to himself bearing in mind the full details of the story. Adenuga's Communications Investment Limited (CIL) was earlier issued a conditional license in 1999 and frequencies to operate the Global System of Mobile Communications (GSM). The license was later revoked with the loss of $20m deposit. It was adjudged to have failed to meet the deadline for the payment of $265m by few hours. Sustained direct appeals to nationalist sentiments that Obasanjo should exercise presidential discretion by allowing Adenuga enter the market did not change anything.
Undaunted, Adenuga soldiered on. Obasanjo was out of the country on one of his many foreign tours in August 2002 when the federal executive council chaired by VP Abubakar Atiku approved Globacom license after a bid for the Second National Operator (SNO). Luckily, unlike the 1999 bid in which CIL controversially lost not only the license but also the $20 million deposit, the SNO packed more fruits. It enables Globacom to also operate as a national carrier, digital mobile lines, international gateway for telecommunications in the country and fixed wireless access phones.
So, when finally the Third Term bill got shot down and buried during a televised session at the National Assembly in May 2006, it was clear a red flag had inadvertently been waved at the raging bull at the Aso Rock Villa. It did not take long before Obasanjo went after the likes of Adenuga for opposing his imperial ambition. Indeed, the nation would watch in horror as the full might of Federal Government was brought against the Globacom boss shortly afterwards through the EFCC as security personnel invaded his Lagos home in the broad daylight in Gestapo fashion. (So, when the Pharisee of Ota whines today that Buhari's EFCC "does not have bite", we should understand the dark, devious context he means.)
After hours of humiliating siege, they took Adenuga away. Without shame still, Obasanjo, through the security agencies, later deployed magnifiers, oil-lamps and sniffer-dogs looking for what was not missing at Adenuga's business premises. But everyone knew it was all because the Guru refused to join the TT gravy train.
But ever so deluded, OBJ least anticipated the intensity of the national outrage the action triggered and the backlash from global capital. You don't maltreat someone of Adenuga's international stature and expect the world community would keep quiet. The global spotlights eventually forced OBJ to let go his captive. Obviously traumatized, Adenuga soon left Nigeria on self-exile and would not set foot on Nigerian soil again until Baba was forced out on May 29, 2007.
Indeed, as the Guru turns 63 next week, there cannot be a better time to salute the man with uncommon business ethic, a corporate enigma who however fiercely shuns the kliegs light, a compulsive recluse whose near obsessive aversion to open flirtation with political authority would then appear a show of piety to the original catechism of free enterprise. That the market be defined strictly by the fidelity to its rigid rules, not seeking easy riches by merchandising access to political authorities. Such attributes are indeed uncommon in today's Nigeria where the average "billionaire debtor" prefers to wallow in vanity by paying Forbes to put him on the rich list, hustling for photo ops with top politicians at public events and generally loitering around corridor of power, scavenging for duty waivers, concessions or other seedy avenues to make cheap money.
As a scholar once put it, Adenuga's own business model is not cutting corners but rolling your sleeves, getting your hands dirty to earn profit fairly: "Today, it's no coincidence that whereas many others rely on special favours from government in form of duty or import waivers to keep afloat, Adenuga never asks for anything other than level playing field to compete. He believes in free trade. Again, if you check those who betrayed public trust like in the case of fuel subsidy scam, you don't see Adenuga's name or his company on such inglorious list. It simply tells you the business ethic of not just a true Nigerian entrepreneur but also a patriot par excellence."
No wonder, debutant Globacom in 2003 pioneered per second billion system in the telecoms sector, halting MTN's cold-blooded exploitation of Nigerians for two years.
True, it is impossible to survive the dog-eat-dog world of big business and remain a saint. Whatever may be his own shortcomings, Adenuga compensates for with a generous spirit. Even more remarkable is that he, as usual, prefers to conduct his philanthropy in strict anonymity in an environment where most men and women of means would not give if no one is watching or willing to cheer. Today, what is documented is the billions of Adenuga's money that go into supporting Nigeria's creative industry (music/movie world) and the soccer league. Much more of his wealth quietly goes to countless charities both at home and abroad, giving life-line to humanity in need.
Four years after his ordeal at the hands of OBJ's goons, our paths crossed in Accra, Ghana. The occasion was a global award (Black Star) ceremony put together by Ghana's respected foundation to celebrate some illustrious Africans. Naturally, our own Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, topped the honour list. Awardees included South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa. I was among Kongi's guests from Nigeria led by -who else- Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi.
Inside the commodious hall that night, the air literally froze when the MC announced Adenuga's presence. He was resplendent in a snow-white Agbada and white cap to match. Thereafter, his corner became the cynosure of eyes. In Ghana, he is revered as the great son of Africa who owns a world-class telecom company.
Characteristically, he had literally sneaked in through the VIP door unannounced. Not for him the usual disruptive antic of the Nigerian Big Man arriving late and moving around when the ceremony is already underway, hugging and bumping fists.
Incidentally, tonight, the Guru chose the seat next to me in the VIP section. Ever genial but nonetheless graceful, he threw the first salvo.
"Oh! Louis, you're here," he teased. "Well since you started winning awards all over the place as Writer of the Year you've abandoned your old friends."
"Ah! Otunba!!," I fired back, hand raised to the head mock salute. "How can your little boy abandon you. That's attack as the best defense. That's not true. It is you that's inaccessible. In fact, it's easier to see President of Nigeria than to see you sir."
He laughed heartily. As the ceremony progressed, our discussion naturally drifted to happenings in Nigeria. But what I consider most memorable was his reading of the significance of the award ceremony:
"I think we need more of fora like this to build bridges of unity across Africa. We need to celebrate our own heroes and heroines to inspire the young ones. We need to stop the pull-him-down syndrome which is why Africa is yet to tap its full potentials to achieve greatness. By joining hands, Africa can move mountain."
This perhaps explains why Adenuga yearly commit tens of millions of dollars to promoting soccer on the African continent. Weighed down by colonial legacy in form of language barrier, football provides a tool to reunite the people of Africa.
Six years earlier (2004), his look-alike son, Paddy, had opened a rare aperture on the domestic Adenuga, the enigmatic dad. The occasion was a dinner to mark his being named the "Sun 2003 Man of The Year". Then, I was Sunday Sun editor. On the sidelines of the cocktail, Paddy and I got talking. Though born with proverbial silver spoon, he hinted of "tough training" and being made to appreciate early that things have to be earned and not taken for granted.
"You know dad's standards are quite high," he opened up. "It's hell living up to the high standards he set for us. He's a great dad who teaches us the dignity in hard work because he worked himself real hard to get to where he's today."
He obviously was referring to his dad's humble beginnings in United in the 1970s when he juggled menial jobs of cab-driving and security guard to support himself while studying business administration at the North-Western University in Oklahoma and Pace University, New York.
Decades later, Paddy himself would enroll in a military school in the United States where he received "hard training", not the luxury college of privilege where rich brats are pampered and spoilt. The idea was to inculcate the right values in him and his siblings, toughen them in order to compete well in the world out there and, above all, make them appreciate the true worth of things.
So, will Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga, Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), now take a bow.

Here is the procedure to unlock it from a user.

First of all, I am assuming that your modem is the new Huawei E5573s-606 mifi and not the USB modem. If you are using anything else, then try and google the procedure for your own specific device.

The procedure I used was gotten from this page https://unlock4modem.in/unlock-customized-e5573s-606-spectranet-mifi-nigeria/
The procedure is pretty straightforward but unfortunately, the guy wants us to pay him for the code to unlock.
So, I managed to get my hands on the software he was using to generate the code and uploaded it along with the two other softwares you would need here ---->https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-UhK1aaxPuhV3c3d0tpYjJmZkk
You can download the rest from the site that listed the procedures.

Now to unlock, follow the procedures up to No. 7 then stop. After that, use the software named Huawei unlock Code Calculator to generate ur own device unlock code.
After you have done that, continue from No. 13 and when you are in your router settings, click on Network Settings for it to bring up the page where you would need to put in your unlock code. That's all.

Career / Re: MTN Sacks 180 Help Desk Staff by 2baga(m): 8:53am On Mar 07, 2016
iyke4cute:
MTN Arbitrary Sack And Disengagement Of MTN 180 Help Desk Staffs

MTN NG has since 2008 engaged the services of Nigerian graduates as contract staff through several vendors to render services to its (MTN NG) customers. MTN NG does this by making their contract staffs sign an independent service contract agreement stating theoretically that the contractors do not work for MTN NG or the vendors engaged by MTN NG, so they are not employed by either parties but shall render services to MTN NG as defined by these vendors. But practically, the contract staffs do not only render services to MTN NG but work for them directly.

We shall centralise this petition on the customer care representatives, (CCRs) addressed as independent service contractors (ISCs) or simply as contractors in the contract letters attached herewith. The vendors engaged by MTN NG as middle men are MTNN EMPLOYEES MULTIPURPOSE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED (MEMCOS, 2009-2012), COMMUNICATION NETWORK SUPPORT SERVICES CONTACT CENTRE LIMITED (CNSSCCL, 2012-2015) and ISON BPO INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (ISON BPO, 2015 –TILL DATE).

MEMCOS as the acronym implies are group of MTN NG employees (permanent staff) who award themselves contracts to outsource Nigerian graduates in order to extort them and make them do their jobs for them for just a little pay compared to the jumbo salaries they receive from MTN NG. They carefully design these contract letters and make Nigerian graduates sign them within 24hrs without understanding the content and in the absence of a labour officer which is contradictory to the labour act of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. MTN NG has its online customer care centres in Kano, Kaduna and Lagos, Nigeria.

Some of the atrocities committed on CCRs by MTN NG include but are not limited to the following;

ARBITRARY SACK OF STAFF WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE OR COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
SLASH OF SALARIES BY MORE THAN 50%.
WORKING UNDER UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS.
TAX EVASION AND EXTORTION OF CCRs.
UNPAID SICK LEAVES.
UNPAID AND COMPULSORY MEETINGS/HURDLES/PEPTALK (OVERTIME).
USING RESTRICTED AND DUBIOUS MEANS OF COMMUNICATION TO CCRs.
DIRECT BREACH OF CONTRACT.
ARBITRARY SACK OF STAFF WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE OR COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

Almost all the CCRs that have resigned or where verbally dismissed/sacked were not given any evidence to show that they have worked as CCRs in MTN NG for the specific number of years they have spent in the company.

The contract for CCRs in Kano, Kaduna and Lagos (CCRs in standard and bronze segments) was terminated by CNSSCCL on Friday, 31st of July, 2015. MTN NG replaced CNSSCCL with a new vendor, ISON BPO, which notified the CCRs that they will be relocated from all MTN Facilities to ISON BPO facilities/centres situated at Ibadan, Abeokuta and Ilorin. Tension was high and MTN assured the CCRs through restricted mails that ISON BPO will not maltreat CCRs as they did to Airtel CCRs some years ago. To instil confidence in the CCRs, MTN made ISON BPO to issue a new three (3) months contract (August 1st to October 31st, 2015) with exact terms and conditions of the previous vendor (CNSSCCL) and promised CCRs that a new contract with ISON BPO’s terms and conditions will be issued before the expiration of the 3 months contracts before the CCRs will be relocated to the above mentioned ISON BPO centres.

We waited anxiously for the new contract letters but they were not forthcoming. Exactly on the 30th of October, 2015 by 10:21 AM, a blind copied and restricted mail was sent to affected CCRs all over MTN NG online centres stating that the contracts for CCRs in Ikoyi and VGC centres in Lagos and Kano online centres have been extended by one (1) month and that CCRs in other locations in Kaduna and Lagos will be subjected to some selection criteria and ISON BPO staff relocation policies attached in the mail shall be imposed on them.

We were directed to provide written consent expressing willingness to relocate to the new ISON BPO centres and submit it to ISON BPO HR representatives on the 28th of October, 2015, which we all did. ISON BPO HR representatives engaged CCRs in series of interviews and chats and the next day, the ISON BPO HR representatives phoned/text about 80% of the CCRs that they do not meet the criteria set by ISON BPO and their services are not required any longer and that they will not be relocated to the new centres. That was when the CCRs realised that MTN had conspired with ISON BPO to dubiously and systematically sack the CCRs that have laboured for several years without any benefit/compensation whatsoever.

ISON BPO sent messages to the remaining 20% and told them to come over and collect their contract letters. On the 2nd of November, 2015, about 50% of the 20% that fulfilled the criteria were told that ISON BPO would not want to work with them and therefore will not be relocated, thereby sacking these CCRs with NO reasons provided by ISON BPO and without prior notice as stipulated in our contract. We were told to handover our MTN ID cards and work tools and to forcibly resign our appointments in order to keep our MTN NG staff lines.

All CCRS sacked/dismissed did not receive any benefits or entitlements whatsoever. It is just like we have laboured for MTN NG all these years in vain without any benefit or evidence to show for our years of experience and service.

SLASH OF SALARIES BY MORE THAN 50%

The few CCRs that were selected were handed an ISON BPO employment letter instead of a new contract letter without a prior knowledge to the CCRs and in contradiction with clause 2 (a and b) and 7 (a, b and c) of the revised contract issued by CNSSCCL in 2012. In addition, their basic salary is exploitatively eighteen thousand five hundred naira (N18, 500), with a gross of less than 50% of their previous salaries. Throughout the relocation process to Ilorin, they were not paid a dime and were transferred to the CNSSCCL centre in Ilorin and are subjected to an inhumane work schedule which includes 9 hours day shifts and 12 hours night shifts.

WORKING UNDER UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS

Several times, we have been made to work in offices that were fumigated less than 12 hours prior to work shifts or even during work hours mostly during the night shifts. In fact there were cases of vomiting, eye/skin irritations and choking by some CCRs, and if any CCR refused to work in such unhealthy conditions, such CCR will forfeit the pay for that shift.

Night shifts were imposed on women till date which contradicts the labour act and even nursing mothers worked night shift, until recently when the super hectic nursing mothers schedule was introduced which involves a 9 hours daily shift five (5) times weekly without a night shift.

Several CCRs over the years have complained of severe headaches and migraines, impaired vision, ear problems and even different forms of cancer. The Physicians and neurologists we visit during illnesses have ascribed these health issues to the unhealthy and haphazard work shifts, constant use of substandard/faulty headsets and prolong starring at computer screens. The company has never provided any assistance whatsoever for health benefits but rather make compulsory deductions from CCRs salaries for Total Health Trust (THT) health insurance scheme.

TAX EVASION AND EXTORTION OF CCRs

5% withholding tax is being deducted from CCRs salaries every month and no evidence of remittance to the appropriate tax authorities has been given. Sometime around 2012, CCRs agitated for issuance of tax remittance receipts from the companies, CNSSCCL issued fraudulent tax receipts to less than 10% of the CCRs and after scrutinizing the receipts, we noticed the following;

Tax payment receipts for August 2012 were dated December 06, 2012.

Tax payment receipts for October 2013 were also dated December 20, 2012.

Receipts for tax deductions given to CCRs in Kano, Kaduna and Lagos were issued by the Lagos state tax office only.

UNPAID SICK LEAVES

Any CCR that fail to report to duty due to ill health/sickness is denied payment for that shift even if he/she provides a genuine medical report, or got sick while on duty will not be paid for the remaining hours he was unable to complete for that shift. These policies deployed by MTN NG and its vendor(s) directly contradict the provisions under the Labour act of the Nigerian constitution. They usually tag it “Sick Unpaid” on our monthly schedules application called TELEOPTI solely operated by MTN NG work force department. Recently it was reviewed by ISON BPO that each CCR is entitled to one (1) day paid sick leave in every six (6) months.

UNPAID AND COMPULSORY MEETINGS/HURDLES (OVERTIME)

We have been made to work overtime over the years without payment. These out of work hour’s engagements (overtime) were tagged Quality and product updates meetings, Hurdle sessions, coaching sessions, pep talks etc. These engagements are anchored by the shift leads and made compulsory at least once weekly, and it is being done either before the start of schedules or after closing hours. We are being denied the freedom to leave the office premises even after our worked shifts until after these meetings are over.

We are being made to work during national public holidays and during election periods without overtime payments, even till date.

USING RESTRICTED AND DUBIOUS MEANS OF COMMUNICATION TO CCRs

To cover their tracks, MTN NG and ISON BPO have deployed a new means of communication to the CCRs, by sending restricted e-mails. These are mails with seriously implicating contents but will not avail the recipients (CCRs) the opportunity to copy, print, export, screen dump or forward the mail contents in any way. They also engage in blind copying so as to hide the recipients of such mails. These dubious acts confirm that the recipients are the decision makers in MTN NG (Senior MTN NG employees).

DIRECT BREACH OF CONTRACT

Several changes have been made to the terms and conditions of the contract at the discretion of MTN/Vendors without prior notice to the CCRs. These changes were effected in terms of salary review, tax payment, scope of service etc. The vendors simply refer to MTN NG as its client without mentioning MTN NG in the contract letters. They paid the CCRs on hourly rate as stated in the contracts and later reviewed the salaries to a fixed amount and extended the work/shift durations, thereby short-changing the CCRs. They also randomly deduct any amount they like when absent for some shifts whether day/night schedules. They refuse to give a detailed breakdown of our salaries as required by the law.

Sir, by the virtue of the office you occupy as the Chairman, Senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions, we solicit the indulgence and support of your committee and that of the National assembly as a whole in order to ensure that justice and fairness is served.

PRAYERS/REQUESTS

We request immediate re-instatement of all illegally sacked CCRs and for such CCRs to be adequately compensated for breach of contract.

We request immediate issuance of certificate of service for the number of years we have worked as CCRs for MTN NG.

We request compensation for compelling CCRs to work on National public holidays without overtime or any form of incentive.

We seek compensation for unpaid sick leaves backed up with medical report from approved medical centres.

We request to be issued tax receipts for the monthly deductions from our salaries from the date of engagement to the date of illegal dismissal.

We want thorough and in-depth investigations into the monthly tax remittances made by MTN/MTN Vendors on behalf of the CCRs by appropriate government agencies.

Lastly, we request a full review of the scope of service, terms and conditions and work conditions of contract jobs, not only in MTN NG/telecommunications sector, but in all economic sectors in Nigeria.

Kindly find attached documents to support our request.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Victimized MTN CCRS

WATER MANAGEMENT : This is a very important aspect of fish farming because it determines the growth and wellness of your fish for maximum profits .
We have to know that water management start with preparation of your pond. Use the methods i mentioned in my earlier topic using formalin and water to soak the concrete pond for 3 hours and using a plastic bowl to take the water mixed with formalin to splash all the walls of your pond, Then after 3 hours rainse it with salt and water using same splashing method .NOTE the water and formalin solution should be 1/4 of your pond.
For earthen pond use the agric lime and chicken manure method ,explained in my earlier post .
Having done that the next step is to test your water of its physical and chemical properties .
A good fish farmer should have a water test kit ,if you dont have one then ,its like a crop farmer without hoe or cutlass
The major things that determine a good water quality are PH , TEMPERATURE AND DISSOLVED OXYGEN:
When u follow the right amount of these parameters strictly, then you will have a successful harvest.

PH:
Catfish require the range 6.5 to 8 ph for optimal result.
Your ph can be corrected using simple but effective materials, in concrete ponds ,use crushed oyster shell by placing them in a sack and place under the ponds water at the point were your water inlet enters your pond .Other shells that can be used are periwinkle shell the ones the calabar call insam , snail shells and palm cannel shell can also be used to correct your water ph.
You can also use lemmon grass or elephant grass ,but cutting fresh grass ,wash it and put them in a sack and place them under the pond were new and fresh water enters your pond or at you water inlet .This 2 simple material help balance your ph from acidic to neutral. because they are natural buffers. This will help you reduce cost ,instead of buying the chemical buffers ,which sometimes you have to be vigilant with.
For ponds with high basic water, though its not common to have high basic water. Most water problems are acidic but for those with high basic water , cut some woods that are decaying or tree backs ,then cut them into smaller pieces and put in a sack placed under your water .this is also a cheap and effective way of reducing cost in your water ph problems
For best result with your fish make sure you check your water ph 1 time a day mostly in the afternoon to get an accurate value of your water ph for concrete ,plastic and tarpaulin users
For earthen ponds users , water ph is more and easily maintained by using the agric lime and chicken dry poo .and this can last till the end of a cycle but still try to check your ph once a week , especially those who get there source of water from nearby streams, because flowing streams tends to have fluctuate in ph rapidly, due to different human activities done on open streams.

Temperature should be maintained between 26 degree to 30 degree not that catfish can not grow at lower temperatures but these particular range of temperatures give them the best chance to have good metabolism ,breaks down there feed better for flesh and weight .
How to increase your pond temperature in time of cold using concrete pond ,is to close your pond with a tarpaulin , using a dark color tarpaulin, so it can help absorb heat from the environment help retain the heat in the pond and make the pond dark at same time warm...,which the cats like ...
To reduce heat in your pond like some temperature in the north ,is to try to open your ponds tarpaulin cover and try to do partial water change in your pond.
For earthen pond users during hot season try to allow fresh water from streams wells or bore hole in to your ponds .And to increase temperature like raining or cold season , add more chicken manure in your pond to allow or to facilitate the growth of algae and other aquatic plants in your pond so they can form some reasonable amount of shade and help keep the water under the pond warm.
Oxygen in your pond both in concrete and earthen pond are increased when you do regular water change or flow through .
Having get all these right, there are some physical problems that deteriorate your pond water quality ,there are some water that looks milky and has lots of particles , these are due to underground pollution .This type of water need to be diverted from your source of water first ,into a filter tank .This tank can be plastic like the type robonski posted some month backwards during the hatchery set up . In this tank add a foam and gravel with charcoal in the tank for the water to pass through , Its called natural filtration before the filtered water can be channelled to your pond inlet by gravity through connecting pvc pipes .FOR THOESE COMING FOR TRAINING IT WILL BE DEMONSTRATED FOR YOU TO SEE HOW IT WORKS.
For stagnant concrete pond users , place a bag containing crushed oyster shell, charcoal and granite let the quantity be 3 to 5 kg crushed oyster shell and half the sack bag containing charcoal and granite .. to help condition your water maintains your ph and reduce the ions concentration in your stagnant pond .
For all earthen ponds users try to get what is called a water hyacinth.
This is a water plant that grows freely in lagoons and most earthen pond . When you have just 2 water hyacinth, in 7days it can multiply to 100 ,and this water plant makes your pond self clearifying because its a big nitrogen eater in your ponds ,so it clears your water of excess nitrogen in you ponds ,making it ver clear.FOR THOSE COMING FOR THE TRAINING; 2 FREE WATER HYACINTH WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU TO REPLANT IN YOUR POND:
Another great challenges earthen ponds users face are scums ,these can be formed by bad water from nearby streams , or over pollution from many un eaten feed . Or when u have too much algae bloom . Sometimes you see a brown thick layer like mud and silver shining particles on your earthen pond which is a sign of too much ion concentration in your pond soil .This is totally bad for your fish health because scums blocks the exchange of atmospheric oxygen with your water surface,so a quick and effective way to remove it .
Get a pvc pipe 1inch, tie a rope or twine to the two ends of the 1 inch pvc pipe.
Make sure the length of the pvc is same as the width of your pond .
This process have to be carried out with two people were by a person holds one end and another holds the other end , and gently lay the pipe on the pond .NOTE the pond outlet is to be open when carrying out this process so as to allow the scum flow out .
Both persons ,each on opposite sides of the pond will hold to the twine .......TO BE CONTINUED
