Please can someone interpret this hormonal test for me.
I don't know if proclatin is same with progesterone. Or even LH is estrogen and difference btwn that and estradiol.
I did Hsg and pelvic scan, both came out very fine with no blockage or abnormal growth.

Progesterone is morbidly low,it is enough to show that you may not have ovulated.
Your Estradiol is also low,considering the others such as FSH and LH,it is only a matter of low ovarian response to stimulation.
In a situation like this,it could be normal or abnormal. Allow a stretch of 2-3 cycles before doing a confirmatory profiling.

it wont by God's .i used.fertil aid and parlodel to conceive my last child.even then i didnt menstruate. any side effect of using clomid? i believe when i use it, i will ovulate.

Your doctor will tell you when in your menstrual cycle to start taking the tablets.

For the first course of treatment, take one tablet a day for five days

If you do not have a period after the first course of treatment your doctor will increase your dose to two tablets a day for five days

You should start this second course at least 30 days after the first course
You will not usually take more than three courses of treatment.

If ovulation does not happen after three courses talk to your doctor.

I've been having scanty periods, So I decided to go for infection test and in the process of examination by the lab scientist, She found out that I my cervix is inflammed and she asked my partner and I to go for chlamydia test since that could be a possible cause.
The result will be out tomorrow but I'm very scared already because inflammation of cervix is a sign of PID which could cause infertility. Is there also a teat to check if the other reproductive organs are still in shape?

An inflamed cervix does not mean it is out of shape. You need not be scared until the result confirms a PID.

I really may not get your meaning of ,'test to check if the reproductive organs are still in shape' but in my own preservation,I will just say it that so far no structural changes has happened to those organs,they are for the said to be okay. And if one still have fears in reaching to know of this,you are thus advised to do a pelvic ultrasonography, or HSG or and then Biopsy for a proper tissue harvesting and examination.

For the now you are okay,just wait for your result.

Test revealed that I have high prolactin which might be the cause why my period stopped and likely why I don't ovulate. I have used promulut to force the period.to.come and still.no result. I have also used bromitheme still no.result. so I want to try clomid to influence my ovulation. because at present I don't know whether I ovulate or.not. and even if I.ovulate I don't know when.

What if Clomid fails,what will you do next?

A cess of your menstruation does not call for clomid use without a doctor's knowledge. You should be able to tell when it has stopped,and help the medical doctor in any way to diagnose any cause to this condition. In the process of this doing,he also discovered that your not menstruating is linked to not experiencing ovulation, then he may see the need to applied clomid with respect to cause.

Or,do you mean you have just finished a cycle and your flow is dried and you want to start a clomid?

It is okay,like I said before motility needs improvement and that also calls for improvement in sperm count too.
Keep up with normal lifestyle that promote sound mind and health in general.
Take on to diet,fruit and supplements that contain in rich quantity;zinc,magnesium, copper, molybdenum,vitamin c,folic acid, vitamin b6,12,2 and vitamin A.

Your friend has a count below the standard count,being referred as oligospermia. Not only,an even lesser percentage is known to cover up for those active. This itself does not sound nice at all.

He is advice to seek the help of a medical doctor(mainly a Urologist) as to see what he could or advice regarding a case such as this,though the count is not hurriedly bad.
Those some oligospermia may not be linked to any cause,yet it is our responsibility as medicals to advice that:
1. that one stay off alcohol should be using it to excess
2. avoid use of drugs or medications if one is seen to be indulged in any for the now.
3.eat fruits or food containing zinc,magnesium, selenium,folic acid,vitamin b complex etc
4.stay generally healthy
5.discuss any health condition with a medical doctor to see if it could be anyway affecting your count.

Finally,you are indeed advised to take to your antibiotics for staphylococcus aureus. Ensure that you use only the specified sensitivities for the treatment.

The uterus is normal of 5.30cmx3.79x4.04cm) ,empty,anteverted.
Endometrial plate 0.98cm thickness.Regular outline of uniform echogenicities.
Right ovary 2.48cmx2.84cmx3.12cm with volume of 16.15ml.
Left ovary 3.85cmx2.06cmx2.63cm with vol.8.08ml.
Cervix is 4.38cm
Both Adnex is free.

Am not on hormonal drugs,just pregnacare n vits
Pouch of Douglas is free of fluid

Dimensions are normal for both uterus,ovaries and cervix.
Endometrial plate thickness also okay,may count up to 11mm or less,but it is okay.


Right follicle may be tracked for stigmatisation,which could have occur anyway.
Anything more?

Just remain in your vitamins.

Let me make it clear before you as I did to her. I didn't block anyone, Infact it is against my rule to block people I have once had conversation on their health matter. See! the greatest I can do as I explained to her was to delete that person until she writes back to have a fresh case opened again.

Let me tell you,I have had handful of women yet to pay me. The last I called, had to busied it. I have to let it pass. I did not intend blocking her too. Her case was something familiar,she gave calls which turned out missed. I couldn't return those calls until the even when I was chanced to,and she had it on herself to do the calling. I was so surprised,damn surprise when she implicated that I blocked her. Infact,my WhatsApp here is showing,the last time she was online was 4:43p.m yesterday. At least 6months from c/s one should be planning to carry pregnancy provided the previous suturing is done off and other health condition coming with the previous c/s have been well managed.

It is therefore safe to have this pregnancy.

I know you are worried but this pregnancy this time around may follow suite as the previous. The fact that the foetus is in sac and located just where it should be means no cause for alarm. Customarily, as with early pregnancy normal cramping and stretching of the womb and ligament around could lead to pains. Perceiving any changes that could be involved with this pain,see your doctor immediately.
You may use paracetamol to reduce pain discomfort.

You may have to discuss with doctor these available methods of contraception to know which could be suitable for you:

1. IUD
2. Depovera injection
3.Vaginal ring
4. The Patch
5.Contraception Implant

Your choice on using any may definitely depends on your comfortability, signs and symptoms, and the period any will run before deciding to carry pregnancy.

I had a blood test done for pregnancy and it tested positive 2 weeks ago before my period due day but my period came yesterday. Although I was told it was a false positive.
What does this mean please.

A false-is-positive result is a test result which wrongly indicates that a particular condition or attribute is present.

Don't give in easily, you may try another test to see what the outcome is again. If it is positive for pregnancy, that bleeding experienced could have only happened for a periodlike flow which happen for some women.

If you are staying off clomid a cycle why not allow your system a nice break off anything for that period apart from your normal helpful vitamins.

...that the female child is born with 1-2 millions of immatured eggs prepared to fight for life against each other. By the time she has come to her puberty,some of those innocent eggs for reasons known to nature will just die leaving her with 300 000-400 000 eggs. Wow!
This is still enough to born countless of children.
The baffling point here is that,of the 3-4 thousand eggs,only 400 eggs are hopeful and useful for ovulation throughout her reproductive life cycle. Mind you,this is the maximum.

From a given perspectives, it means that we could assume the number eggs she might have released from the time she started in her puberty assuming she has a perfect cycle and that in every cycle she is dishing out one sexy egg. Let's also assume a cycle covers a month too.

If she started puberty by 9yrs of age,and she is just 25 now. How many eggs could have been used for ovulation,and those yet to?

Years interval=25-9
=16yrs
A year has 12months,and we assume one month covers an ovulation. In other words, 12months=1year,she has twelves egg ovulated.
Thus, 16yrs= 16×12= 192 eggs.

Wow! this is great! Do you know what?
90% of women hardly covers 7-9 ovulation in a year. And also,during early days of puberty high percentage of females don't ovulate at all. This brought the 192 eggs a matter of theory,not reality.
Her useful follicle store=400-192
=208 eggs maximum is left for ovulation.

What about that woman not ovulating?

Her useful follicle store is not depleting cause of it not being used as the one ovulating,though after every cycle follicles of certain numbers die off. No thanks yet!
Am I trying to say that for that one not ovulating, it simply means that egg in her useful follicle could have been 20yrs,30yrs or whatever age is being stored in there and still prematured?

This situation is likened to a food cooked and you have only eatened out of it once,for being this careful you thought it good enough to freeze the food and only warm it when the freezer has turned warm due to power shortage,assuming you have been during this for like 6yrs.
Do you expect the food to possess the same taste as it was 6yrs back?
Will the taste of the food be improving? Of course, you know the answer.

This is the state those eggs though among the 400 find themselves when not used. This is another reason why miscarriage of pregnancy has a higher percentage as women age.

If I am pressed with this knowledge,I should be careful with the environment I exposed my eggs to.By now as a woman,you should have known you have done much or little harm to your eggs through;

1. exposition to ionisation from xray
2. use of medications
3. use of supplements
4. foods
5.stress
6.diseases
7. surgery and others.

Studies have shown that the longer eggs stay,the worse they stale. So,younger women are being to advised to seek conception early enough to avoid aging of these eggs. Why those up to 30yrs and greater are advised the same and in additional to maintain healthy precautions to avert damages to their eggs as to mind the kind of environment they expose their eggs to.

What are Chromosomes?

See Chromosomes as information donated or wired together by both parents that will instruct who the child will be(as in sex),what the child will be(in behaviour) and perhaps the future of that child with regards to what he/she is. Chromosomes is likened to Codes that create Programmes that finally give way to an APP. For example, Nairaland forum is an APP,deeply seated are information or codes that ensure a proper functioning of this APP,such that without instructions coming from this codes this APP is useless.

Another example,Turner's syndrome. This is a monosomy condition affecting the last paired of chromosomes i.e. 23rd pair which is also called sex chromosomes. It is referred to as monosomy because instead of having a paired chromosomes,one is missing leaving just one at that position. Gbam! problem has started in the child formation.

The truth is,it is better to have a safe abortion than to carry a pregnancy that will only lead to a child you end up wasting time,resources and energy yet the solution to their problem is not at sight.

Hmmm..It's been 8 months since I had my myomectomy.Well I still thank God for life.

Pls is it normal to have af a day earlier than the expected day and then the FLOW lasts for 2 days only with just spotting when I wipe. Just 2 days and then nothing.

I do have 3 days normal flow then round off with tiny drops till the 6th day..(sorry Tmi)..I just wondered. Cos this has never happened before. Should I be worried?

Sometimes menstruation can come date before its expectation. It is an experience every woman will face and it is normal. Bleeding interval can change but if one has been having a constant bleeding interval,don't worry it come back to normal provided that all things remain equal and done.

There is no cause for alarm until any form of diagnosis has proved otherwise. For the now enjoy a stress-free life expecting the next flow to come in time covering a normal bleeding interval.
