I'm sorry if you think that all comments here are directed at you, this thread is about abortion, it's not about you personally. I'm also sorry that if you think I'm being condesending in any way, I just don't understand why parents or family would support their daughter/relative taking RU 486 when it is known to be a dangerous drug. Women have died from taking RU 486, then there are others who have had major health problems later in life, and some who can't ever get pregnant again, just from taking this drug. I know you must feel like there is no one here who understands you or the situation you are in, and maybe that's because we don't know all the facts. I don't 'personally' see that your age should be a factor in your decision. That is just my opinion. Just like Softee, I'm not against women who have abortions, nor do I hate anyone. I'm just doing my part to speak out against what happens to those without a voice. It is my 'opinion' that from the moment of conception, the fetus is human. It will become human, not anything else, if left alone. A potential human has as much right to life as every human walking on this earth. Once again, just my opinion.

I dressed in a hurry and didn't notice that I was wearing my track pants inside out I walked all the way to her school, into her class room, and home again dressed like that! They were black track pants with two red stripes on each leg from hip to ankle. I watched a documentary where women who had been mutilated were being interviewed, it was heart breaking These poor women are totally violated. Not one of there were able to enjoy sex, as the removal of their clitorus had tightened the skin in their vagina and had caused severe pain during sex, during urinating and during childbirth. FGM doesn't stop at the removal of the clitorus, often times it also includes the opening of the vagina being 'sewn' closed, almost completely, only allowing a small enough space for the urine to pass through. In the documentary they showed a young girl screaming, being held down by family members as she was butchered with blade, and later sewn up with thorns from a nearby bush It was even noted that the 'sewing up' of the vaginal opening is done so a man can be sure his wife is a virgin on their wedding night Some women are so 'closed' that the husband must have a blade close at hand to help 'open her' so he may penetrate her properly.

Really, what is this world coming to when there can still be at least one person who doesn't see anything wrong with this type of 'surgery'

Leave her alone, ignore her attempts to contact you. You are feeding her habit by taking her calls and allowing her to be around you. This is so sad, I've watched many relationships around me end becoz of gossip and so called advice from wolves in sheeps clothing.
I think that what happens within a relationship, should stay in the relationship, between the two people involved. My ex hubby thought there was nothing wrong with telling everyone at work what was happening in the bedroom each night then the guys would all compare stories to find out who had the most sexually expressive wife It is capable to talk to your mates without telling them too much, then if they still wanna feed you their 'advice', it's up to you whether you take it or leave it with them when you walk away. People can and will say whatever they like, but we are in control of how much of their talk we take on board.

You are right, God will forgive you. Maybe you should share your story with more young women, so they too will know the emotional effects of making that decision. It might just be what they need to hear to change their minds. Maybe this is also a good time for us all to remember that though we all make mistakes, it's important to show God that we've learned from them, and make sure we don't repeat the mistake ever again. I'm NOT implying that you would have another abortion in the future, I'm talking in broad terms to all who confess to be Christian, Catholic, whatever religion, and yet still engage in pre-marital sex. It's the pre-marital sex that leads to most abortions.
