If the car is an old car from 2001 to 2010. Pls i beg u,dont go and press spoil,ive told u what to do earlier. Get a manual ac thermostat, it has where they connect wire to the fuse box of thw radiator fan,the wire is always blue,tell the rewire to connect the thermostat to the blue wire from under the ac fan diagram in the fuse box,so that once the conpressor cuts and picks,the fan also cuts and picks,putting less stress on the radiator fans,radiator fan motor as well as battery and fuel. If u like go and tell them to revert it. Just pray say u no see traffic. E go shock u say e go do overheating on factory fan reset or trying to revert back. If na old car,follow my advice or leave am like that. Nd once e do overheating,gasket burnt.once dem open ypur engine..they will tell u they will grind the valves..after grinding the carbon off,they won't torque the valve springs to factoryspecs.hence the lexus will start acting up,doing overheating,hard starting,incomplete acceleration, plugs fouling,engine weird behaviour. The car will now turn to scrap
Car battery doesnt exceed 2years max.

Yeterday i turbo all thru. My fuse got burnt.
I noticed the temp eas rising every 10mins and my house is like 1 hr drive. No how.e go overheat.
I parked by roadside
Let engine cool down for like 1 hr.
Had to locate a bar to buy goldberg to kill time

After 2hrs ,this was by 8.30pm
I had hard starting for luke 6 tries
By the 7th try engine started,
After 20mins with ac on. The werey started its sahi t again, i quickly parked,put gear in neutral,open boney. Found the culprit. Ac fan wasnt spinning, had to hit the motor and it started tho it speed wasnt finger cutting. I drove him with full speed at 90kph..got home in 40mins. No much traffic.

This morning I called my rewire. He took out the radiator. It was filled of leaves,dirt dust,sand...it was washed with pressure washer.

Coolant temperature sensor disambled
It was corroded with black dirt like carbon.
Sand papered nd reinstalled
Fuses checked and replaced.

Started car. It responded once
No hard starting.
Ac turned on for 30mins.
Fans picked at 40mins.withrazor cutting speed
Drove for 1hr. Temp guage got to middle by the 48th minute.
Fuel normal

Coolant smelling fresh


Check your fuses,
If the coolant is mote than 6months. Flush every out
If fan motor is weak. Check fuse and relay
Swap them

Hi, guys, while traveling home for Christmas 3 days ago, I noticed that my temperature gauge was high, and water spilled from the reservoir onto my side mirror. I parked and opened the bonnet, and the reservoir was vibrating excessively. No spills from the radiator. I left it to cool down for 30 minutes and started it again, and the temp gauge went back to the middle. I drove it for 5 minutes, and it went back up. I found an auto electrician, and he said the fan has low pressure and suggested that I connect it directly, which he did. I was able to continue my journey without any overheating issues.

Now, my question is, should I continue using the car like that? What should I do differently? I bought the car 3 years ago, foreign used, and everything is still intact.

The car model is ES 300, 2003.

Fans connected to earth ,running always is good and bad cos it won't overheat,(as long as thermostat is not dismantled) however u will burn mote than your weak mpg,let's say minus another 2 mpg,with naija bad fake fuel,minus another 2mpg,u come dey vex dey use AC,minus another 2mpg.so in all ud be getting between 7 to 8mpg,even 5litres fuel go burn within 10mins.

5w30 is a good oil nd is fuel economical

While thinner,i buy 500 naira own after ive driven th car dor like 40mins.when i know every piston and valves are damn hot. I buy 5 litres and pour the thinner inside. Only once a year.so far nothing was damaged. Not even the o rings on my fuel pump inner casing

Before I do my oil change,I usually buy 3litres of cheap mineral oil ,those sold in bottled water container,1 buy 1 liter of diesel, 50cl of thinner...then I drive the car for 3 days mildly ,after the drain,the whole carbon and dirt usually comes out clean,b4 I do almight mobil 1 6 litres.
