Plug supposed to be brownish/tan

Then the cylinder walls have scrapped ot ha scratches,not conpleting combustion. It mightnot show leak but its weak.

A 4plugs engine is scrap. Your engine is weak,rings stuck and thus causing poor performance. It needs serious attention. Im sure the plugs are black or oily

The engine idles rough and jerks at low speeds. When I unplug the coil wire for cylinder #3 while idling, there's barely any change in the RPM. My mechanic thinks it's an engine problem with cylinder #3.

Check engine flashes all the time and engine performance is so poor with crazy consumption of fuel, any help on what to do pls 🙏

On cylinder 3,is the plug wet,dry,ir carbon black fouled. Pls answer me fast

Alaye either your gear oil is overfilled or underfillled. Put gear in park,hand brake up,put gear in reverse while handbrake is up,remove the dipstick, wipe the oil,reinsert the gear oil stick and guage. If the oil no reach hot max level. Problem found.. if e pass hot mark /guage,drain about half liter and re guage... if its guaged fully, colour should be pink or a lil light pink,if its brown . Oil don sapa..drain all of it n refil wt toyota 4 5 litres atf..if after refil e still dey sapa,then d gear do sapa be that

My Corolla 06 usually delay when the gear is engage only in the morning or when the car is parked for atleast 5 hours. I scanned it and I got P0500, something related VSS fault /speed sensor. Pls who do I call? Rewire or mechanic!
I have also watched some YouTube video and I noticed the sensor is attached to the gearbox.

20w50 ,I dey use am.due to a stuck ring on cylinder 4. And e still dey work...tho e no get good fuel economy but if your car dey burn oil or short oil. 20w50 slows it down. Normally e go chop 1 liter per 50km ..if na 5w30. E go chop 1.5 liter per 20km.

Pls help me tellthem. Dru wants to sell auto bot minding if the engine sizeis 1.8liter engine up to 2.5 liter engine. Manual wil kill the engine cos the engie size no reach 3.0. My own engine on idle is 1200 rpm.loaded with ac 1100 rpm...but 4 plugs idle is around 900 800 rpm.load manual ac,it drips to 500 rpm. Engine must off na.

Change it when you can, I have once seen a Toyota Camry (big daddy) shake like car was misfiring terribly just because the AC was turned on, if your car starts to shake when the compressor kicks in then that's the only sign you need to know the engine is struggling with that load, like someone keeps saying here, the truth is this manual compressor thing is only harmless to V6 and up engines, it'll eventually kill your 4 cylinders.

Yeah. Used i once omy engine. 3litres diesel mixed with engine oil,fired the engine to 4000rpm. Did oil chang the same day,my oil filter screen was likebrand new. And of cos the oil drained was super thin

The issue is that if the car is acquired based on recommendations on this thread. The car will be taken to MB certified engineers and it will be shipped fully restored. The car will come from Germany.All parts that need change will be taken care of.

The main thing is the use down here.

Of the three models listed which is best suited for use here.

Incase u dont know,now u do. They are perfect german machines back axle.sweet if u go for manual if u be drifter, however my peoblem with old cars are most times the engine parts are worn out and tired. Parts like cylinder walls,belts,water pumps,bushings,shocks,if not abused gear. They are strong and rugged,but why i ont buy anybenz is,once u source for the parts and omo igbo hears the word BENZ. Even if na 190,so far say na marcadis...hahahaha.dem go chop u taya. If headlights apair normally is 20k. Ladipo boys go sel am to u 80k. Since na benz

I had to bring this after reading a lot from members on the Mercedes Benz thread.

I believe this thread should and will help people that want to acquire low end Mercedes Benz cars that will be daily drivers and exceptionally budget friendly.

The cars in Question and their years.

2001-2005 c class 180 kompressor
2001-2005 c class 200 kompressor
2001-2005 C240

After a lot of research online it has been proven that these above variants have minimal issues and are basically NON-GUZZLERS of fuel.

It's also a known fact that these cars share basically the same parts (linkages, bushings, etc etc).

The main question is this ..if someone needs a daily driver car that can even undertake long distance travels without issues(if maintained) which will it be?
