etrange: Not sure I understand the question. The trend in Nigeria has always been that of disdain. Science is more factual than opinionated. So I really don't understand your question. Or are you implying I stand with gay people cause I'm inclined to follow western trends? Don't forget that it was the West that introduced anti gay laws to Africa. Homophobic came from the West.
I don't have to like or even agree with gay people to know that I should let them be. If I advocate for them to go to jail or denied rights on the basis of my dislike for them or my religion, then I'm not different from racists and religious fanatics. On what are you basing your support for gay? Science or personal convinction? If so, I asked, if it changes tomorrow. Will you also change yours? I need to know if you have a mind of your own on this matter, or you are just following the sciences and every other persons against it is likely following their religious beliefs. I am personally against it because for one, it is gross. That would not change whether the science or religious views changes. |

Cursed soul the bible said remove the log in your cursed miserable eyes before criticizing a state that is building a seaport airport metro ko Atlantic as brt etc
What right does you miserable souls have to criticize Lagos when your development combined does not amount to 1% of the development of Lagos.
Have you ever seen Lagosians criticize London Paris Washington Ottawa etc Are you an indigene of Lagos, or you are from one of those south western states that people don't criticise for obvious reasons? |

etrange: First, if Covid-19 had any effect on birth rate, it would be too early to notice. It's science, not magic. Second, you realise we had gay people in the Bible or prehistoric Egypt, right? Who engineered those ones? If you read about certain empires and how they fell, at the core of it is moral decadence. And gay practices and immoral sex played huge roles. That aside, the science about covid and the vaccines for the past two years have been very embarrassing, and the truth is already out in the open. |

That thing that you've been threatening to do since 2015, I'll like to see it. You are setting up the generations of your children and their unborn children up. Till the world ends, igbos will remain and be part of yoruba neighbors. But Nigeria is not sure to remain one forever, not even Tinubu. But you can chose for them a friendly neighbour or one at loggerheads with them, when your tribalistic mass of human is gone. |

Cc: dominique, Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Seun, Sissy3 Funny guy. Like I asked, will your opinion about the gay people change if the science around it changes? Remember that birth rates are decreasing around the world, with suspicions that the covid vaccines are causing it. Soon enough, it might become a crisis that needs emergency. And if certain truths turn up tomorrow, that certain intentionall acts have been done through chemical exposures to weaken or increase certain behaviours in man, and that gay feelings are engineered. What would be your reaction? |

etrange: First, your comparison is not accurate. Someone with sickle cell anemia is terminally ill and is likely to die. A gay person is a perfectly healthy person with a different sexuality. When I said exceptions, I wasn't referring to sickness. Anyone who doesn't know the difference is bound to discriminate others.
Second, your analogy is not accurate. Sickle cells can be transfered from parents to offspring, sexuality is not. Many of the gap people you know have straight parents. I know kids with gay parents are they're all straight. So I don't see how legalizing gay marriage fits into this analogy, frankly speaking. OK. Sha, will you change your views on gay if the science and trend changes to one of disdain? |

I will not see everyone voting labour and i decide that all yorubas have decided to vote conservative so as to spite the owners of the land. Thats what igbos are doing in lagos. Very ungrateful people. We the people of lagos have decided on APC as a progressive party. Why do igbos always try to change our winning team? Where you reside in the Abroad, have you had any fellow Nigerian who involves in the country's politics complain that someone tried to dictate to them whom they should and should not vote? And your business that you mind in the abroad, does their politicians ever threaten your business? Like, if you do not vote for certain politicians, you can be systematically dealt with? |

etrange: There's no way to address that because it is nature. You don't have to push or not push for it, you only need to make sure these guys aren't treated differently from others. Nobody is saying everyone should be gay. They're only saying gay people should be able to enjoy what other human beings enjoy. Nobody normal person treats a sickle cell person badly, but we don't support them to procreate with those fellows with same risks of SS and AS. You don't call that discrimination. It is just commonsense. |

plaindealer: So, you call all the hateful, bad bele and bitter rubbish you people spew healthy criticism?
In fact, you don't think they need your so-called healthy criticism in your own village?
With the amount of healthy criticism you people have and how you lecture people outside your village, your whole region should be Dubai right now, but instead, you have a very poor, backward and unproductive region with an economically crippling sit-at-home order enforced by terrorists, you are practically under terrorist control like slaves.
...but you and your kind still want to criticize and lecture other people.
Dude, there's nothing healthy about your criticism, stop deceiving yourself, we can see you and your kind coming with your hatred, bad bele and bitterness.. First, I am not an Igbo person but an Ijaw. Secondly, I don't even fancy living in your south west. Even when I wanted to delve into music and i was asked by some producers to relocate to Lagos, i turned it down. I would rather stay where I am from and sell my content. Equally, I have had better chances to travel out of this enclave called one Nigeria, but because I don't have that crazy Japa mentality, I still chose to stay. I am a fierce critic of my local ijaw leaders. I have had assassins sent after my life because of that. So, I am not just talking. Lagos state is easily the best state in the south west because the tax payers and the leaders are wiser and more proactive. That is fact! |

etrange: If you believe in evolution, then you should know there's a reason evolution made some people gay. You should also know that there's no single aspect of nature that is consistent. You should know that exceptions are integral to nature. Expecting the billions of people on earth to all be straight is unnatural because that's not how nature works. The exceptions need mental homes and rehabs. Not to be encouraged. |

Imagine how they turned a once beautiful Festac, Amuwo Odofin into slums, how about Oshodi before Fashola came to the rescue. It's high time Lagos is decongested. The healthy criticisms of the migrants helps the leaders of Lagos state to think of better ways to develop the state. But for people like you, nothing is wrong in your sight, so there is no need for improvement. |
Politics › Re: My Mom Is A Tribalist by 2elliot: 10:00am On Sep 27, 2022 |
Two Yoruba men caused me to sleep in police cell, which was my first and only experience visiting the police station since I always try to be law abiding. That experience was so terrible that I still get nightmares just thinking about it. I was so angry and determined in my heart to hate the Yorubas. But then, I changed my mind. I remember my experience while I was travelling for NYSC. I got to Kogi state so late in the night because our vehicle broke down on the way, and at a certain junction, all vehicles stopped plying. I was scared because it was so dark and lonely. I was pulling my luggage which was making noise, and was praying to God to protect me. I was still trekking when someone flashed me a torch from a dark corner. My heart almost cut. He shouted and asked who I was, and so I answered that I was a corper who was stranded. He felt pity for me and asked me to wait for him. And he went and brought a bike and asked me to enter. This good Yoruba Samaritan drove me to my destination which was over 20minutes. When i checked the time, it was alread 1AM in the morning. I couldn't believe myself. I was so thankful. He even declined to collect the fare. So, guys, despite all the bants here, I still hold the Yorubas in high esteem. What I am learning is to judge individuals based on their character and not a whole tribe. My own elder brother hates Akwai Ibom people because of what one of them did to him, which caused him to be depressed and suicidal at the time. |

GeneralPula: Stop this lies already. It’s disgusting to read. Nzeokwu didn’t start any coup to favor Baba Awo. Igbos started the coup to favor themselves only..
I hope you know that it was still Igbos that crashed the Nigeria regionalism? They didn’t tell anyone their intention. They believed they were smart and would hold power forever, but God pass them! The Biafra or death they’re shouting today is the harvest to the seed of evil they planted then. It’s Karma that’s flogging them..
So you were saying Yoruba didn’t tell obj this, shonekan that about bringing back regionalism. No, things are not done that way. National issue isn’t village meeting where decision can just happen. If Nigeria wants regionalism, then Nigerians together will make the decision to implement it. That’s how to do things..
You also said this... but na Jonathan, a man from a minority tribe, that is whom you and your fellow afonjas been wan use him head to break this national coconut, so that when kasala burst, una go deny am.
How do you mean? We voted for Jonathan in 2011. He sidelined us after winning and we kept quiet. So, break national coconut... How do you mean? Don't be obtuse, please. What did the igbos stand to gain in starting that coup? Igbos were already well placed in the civil service and military. They were well positioned and was doing well. An Igbo man could have been the premier if he wanted an alliance with Awolowo, or played along with Balewa and still be relevant. The eastern region already had oil and coal. And it was peaceful at the time. They didn't need the southwest or the north. That coup was started in order to correct the mistreatment of Awolowo, stop the corrupt politicians from using the military to do their dirty businesses as it was with the emergency rule during the wild wild west, stop tribal crisis as it was with the Tiv crisis, e.t.c. At the core of that coup, it had nothing to do with the Igbo domination. The plotters plan was open to all sections of the country among the military boys, and those who bought the idea agreed, while some didn't. The igbos only happened to be majority among the top rank. And besides, it was even Igbo men who stopped the coup, not a Yoruba or Hausa person. Ironsi and Ojukwu who weren't on the plan stopped it. Everyone was okay with the news of the coup until Lagos-Ibadan news papers twisted the news to become tribal. Ironsi made that decree 34 in order to forestall the regional crisis that was brewing due to that coup, especially after Adaka Boro struck his own after learning from the fake news about the coup being tribal and he was scared the igbos will subjugate them. It had nothing to do with igbo dominination, but everything to do with Ironsi trying to stabilize the country from breaking away. |

Cherrybae: The SE were the ones that ruined GEJ politically.
This is same thing they are doing to Peter obi.
Anybody they support must fail. Im appealing to Atiku and Tinubu never to allow the SE and the IPOB Terorists to support them.
Peter obi is already dead politically. Once campaign starts obi will know he is dead politically and won't win a state.
Nigeria would have been better with the Ibos
Ibos are the problem of Nigeria. They are too emotional, sentimental the reason they remain 5% You yorubas had Obasanjo a fellow Yoruba man as military ruler, but you never persuaded him to use his supreme military powers to decree regionalism or solve any of the national issues. Neither did you tell Shonekan to do it. Even when you had same Obasanjo as civilian president, you didn't still persuade him to solve these national issues, but na Jonathan, a man from a minority tribe, that is whom you and your fellow afonjas been wan use him head to break this national coconut, so that when kasala burst, una go deny am. Jonathan was wise for not playing into your hands, unlike the mistake Nzeokwu made starting a coup in order to favour Awolowo. Make Tinubu win and make una tell am to rewrite the fraudulent 1999 constitution and also bring back regionalism, and even put secession clause in it. |
