Maybe they were honest in the past, as as all tribes were before terrible govts and their wicked management of the economy has instilled dishonesty in the people. As it stands now, I rather do business with an Igbo man than any other major ethnic group, or even the minorities. With an Igbo man, just understand how the market works, know the real price of things and the quality of goods, then you are almost good to go with them. You can always negotiate with an Igbo man.

The Yoruba man is as dishonest as they come. A Yoruba man's dishonesty and cowardice landed me in police cell, my very first experience. A Yoruba tailor once showed me shege. I can't count the number of very dishonest and cowardly Yorubas I have met. Just as I have met a few honest Yoruba's.

Again, as I said, the Hausa man is very dubious just as any group of people, and they are a very terrible people to negotiate a deal with. They always feel this sense of superiority that makes them always want to have the first and only say. They don't care about your opinion. One can use a little bit of diplomacy to negotiate with an Igbo man or any other, where the amount in a deal could be reduced or increased. But the Hausa Fulani man will tell you something is #1000, and that is final. If you like try to persuade him to agree #999, you will just be wasting your time. They are a very terrible people to broker business with. And these days, in the south, these Hausa Fulani's are purposely inflating the commodies they sell, it is almost as if there is a plan among them to destroy the standard of living in the south through food price increase. And again, I can't count the number of very dishonest abokis selling or doing business in the south that I have come in contact with. From the shoemaker to aboki fishermen in my place. The fishermen are even the worse. Very dishonest lots. You will use your own money to bring them from the north, accommodate them, buy them the nets and all necessary stuffs including most times feeding. But these men will go out in the river, catch fish and then sell to very mischievous men or women in the river in the mid night, and then bring very little to their host in the morning. And then they will tell you that the night was dry and so they couldn't make enough catch. And so they will price the small they brought in in a way one will hardly make sales or gain. Very dishonest lol.

In conclusion, it is a very big fallacy that Igbo's are the biggest lovers of money and that they are the most dishonest. As far as Nigeria remains the poverty capital of the world, every motherfucking tribe has a sizeable amount of dishonesty and money worshiping people.
Presently in my community in Bayelsa state, if I tell you what people do because of oil money, you will marvel. They kill and bury humans and do all manner of evil just control the oil money coming into the communities. They do juju so that whatever they say stand as the authority. There is no honest tribe in Nigeria.

There is this lady in my place that her babies used to die within few months after birth. About four to five of the babies died before reaching one year of age. The last one that died, I was there when angry men refused to bury the baby just like that. They cut and macheted the dead baby like a piece of worthless meat. Funny enough, that was the very end. The next baby that came had some marks that looked like the mutilated baby that died previously. But this time, he stayed. That baby is over 15yrs now.

Another story is about my own elder brother. At the same period he was born, there were about seven births in the community. But suddenly, the babies started dying. And when my own brother was sick and my mom took him to a prophetess, she revealed to my mom that my brother are among the seven children that came into the world to deceive their parents–they will come and be birthed by innocent parents, then within a short time, they will die and still repeat it. And that presently, the ones that have died have come to call him to join. She now advised my mom to always rub powder on his face and that that way they will not recognise him. And so my mom started rubbing heavy powder on his constantly. And luckily, that powder pilled his face too. And so, he was able to survive while the rest six kids died.

Another story is my auntie who is still alive. When she was very young, she remembered her previous life when she was born to that same parent. She remembered the previous name she bared in her previous life and her favorite song. She equally had the mark the previous baby had.
