Jidibia: Hmmmm!!! So people still use glo? The fear of Glo is the beginning of ....... Brotherly I used to feel like that too but for the past couple of months I won't lie, Glo has been bae. I had to switch after MTN started making me sub 1k at least twice a week. If your location is one of their good locations I'll say give em a try. Their SIM is just 100 bucks, comes with data & call bonuses. For 2,500 I get 13gb data & 10k call bonus for all networks. I must add the zapping bug has not infected them so much that it becomes obvious. Not forgetting the data is shared with wifey & still averages +- 3 weeks. Now tell me what beats that? |

jboixxx: Let's be serious! When last did you update you torch phone? You transferred data to it and effected a restart like you normally do on smartphones after an update, and you expect it not to update?! Biko, Don't vex me this early ọjọ àìkú.
Seriously, this issue is subjective. You can only be sure of your experiences; if you haven't experienced it, you will likely not believe it.
I still maintain the fact that all ISPs do zapping. Why and factors that make a line eligible is what I don't understand because why is it a random thing??!! Very well said. Not some folks forming shareholders of MTN. In like manner I maintain that Glo offer the best value with respect to data offerings then maybe Airtel for those not experiencing extortionist zapping. Las las everybody should stick to what works for him or her |

mathefaro: Considering the AMOLED screen Mi9T has, the thought of screen replacement is an essential factor in my decision. Haba, be optimistic na. The fact that you've a phone of over 50k in your pocket makes you susceptible to being robbed but does that deter you from moving about with your phone anyway? The mi 9t not only has a solid build quality, it's front and back is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6. That should give you some encouragement. It's not like we've seen people complaining that the glass is fragile for you to now allow that discourage you. You do know OEMs are gradually moving towards using AMOLED screens for their midranges right? |

HowGlorious: Even if dy offer 1gb for N200 7 days or 1k for 4GB a month for eligible Mtn sims. x131x65# to check for ur eligibility That is limited to a minute number of eligible subscribers. That's about the only plan that is not zapped from my experience. The question then is what is the fate of the subscriber when he/she is no longer eligible? You'll agree with me that its not sustainable. |

My Airtel 4gb+ last 4days max Switch to Glo if their network is stable in your end, I say so coz that's what I use personally. Forget about that whole talk of Glo being snail speed, that was then. On the other hand, prepare to get a new Airtel SIM every 3 months in order to be eligible to get their added bonus. Contact genius43 how to go about that. Least I forget, don't let anybody to deceive you into thinking MTN data is a better choice. Coz it'll zap like bugs bunny before you know. |

We can all just accept most of us work with Xiaomi on this thread with this your close minded conclusion at the bolded. I gave my suggestion to the person complaining about MTN zapping his data. Rather than nitpicking on my opinion & suggestions to his problem why not give him yours? Everybody's opinion on this forum is subjective so I don't see why you want to coerce I and others to accept your point of view. This over-sabi attitude is why I sometimes jump & pass some comments on this thread. Cheers. |

scotweezy: And I have heard first hand complaints of people getting short-changed by Airtel. I have even confirmed this personally on their Night plan on a few occasions. They will cut you off a few MB to the exhaustion of your data allocation. Other people have complained about their "double data" zapping. They give you 3GB and you end up being able to use 1.5GB. They might have corrected this, that I cannot confirm, but it was a major issue at one point.
Concerning data usage, I track my usage all the time and MTN has never short-changed me data allocation wise, Never! I always get to use my allocated data. The exception to this was their Night Plan that gets cut off at exactly 3:30am instead of 4am, even with that, you still get to use your allocated 500MB. The Night plan has been revamped now and it is better albeit more expensive.
I have utilised all the Primary ISP in Nigeria at one time or the other and I dare say MTN has arguably been the most consistent of all.
And please, stop making a generalised statement based off your experience and a few others. MTN is leading the pack for so many reasons. MTN staff I've noticed you. Meanwhile in other news, Airtel & Glo still gives more value for money so far as data is concerned. End of story.

mathefaro: it's actually not a case of intimidation. I handle a RN7 almost everyday so I know I'm not really missing anything. It's just that this RN5 is one of my longest serving Android phone(only the redmi note 2 lasted longer) and it's kind of becoming boring already. My next stop will be either the RN7 pro or Poco I do get your point especially with the RN5 now looking obsolete design-wise, but the RN7 is not much of a step up with regards to performance and efficiency. I think a worthy upgrade should be the mi 9t. |

scotweezy: How do you guys reach this kinda conclusions sef?
You didn't ask the guy the kind of apps he uses and how long he stays on them?
What about auto sync of the gallery? Shey im untick am?
I use 1GB for 3 days averagely on my device and it's just Whatsapp, Twitter and UCWeb that I use often others I use sparingly. I hardly stream videos with this sub and No Instagram. Conclusions you say? I know coz I and a whole bunch of persons I know first hand have been there. Why should I be beating about the bush when people have been switching to glo or Airtel without modifying their device options and end up having more value for their money? Usually before people start making this type of complaints they're already frugal with their data usage and wondering why it doesn't last. |
