lol you get time dey explain chip and co self, amoled for smartband no be new thing now, i used it in honor band 4 which was great and comparable to the mi band 4, apart from music control to me, there's no difference between them, coming from that, i wouldn't buy a mi band 4 when for less the price i can get umi uwatch 2 which is sleeker and i get to save more money(plus convenient charging), no be every product xiaomi dey offer best value for money.

Amoled in smartband is not new yet it's missing in the newly launched umi watch 2 grin

I can give you several reasons why it's a better choice cheesy

-Amoled Multicoloured Screen (this means crisps screen visibility, even outside under sun you'll see the contents of what's displayed)
Least I forget Amoled screen means more battery juice to play with cheesy

-Proven strong lasting battery. Since the 1st version of the mi band was realised in 2014 strong battery has been one of its main selling points. Despite the addition of many more features since then the battery strength has not reduced.

-Easily interchangeable strap. The strap is lightweight & comfortable to the skin & doesn't feel cheap as noted by abdsamad.
Though it comes in a TPU strap by default but you can switch to other strap types based on colours, design or materials (TPU i.e. plastic or Metal) that you want. There are thousands of choices to choose from even 3rd party bands. Google mijobs for instance you'll see what I mean.

-Solid app integration. No matter the type of smartphone you are using be it Android or iOS you're covered.

-NFC. If you want a future proof gadget then there's a version of the Mi band 4 that comes with NFC at a marginal cost. Else you can always choose the base version without NFC to reduce cost

-Proven Track record. I can't overemphasize this point much because it's a Xiaomi device cheesy

Like I said earlier this is the 4th iteration (4th generation) of the Mi band after making a name for itself since the first generation was released. No time for experiments cool

NOTE: These are standout points why the Mi Band 4 is more preferable to the umidigi watch. If you want a full sized smart watch on a budget which my friend kekilika will say the umidigi watch has over the mi band then I'll advise you go for the Amazfit Bip. I just learnt they're about to release a round version any moment even. tongue

At least I can vouch for the quality and durability of this device. The mi band is easily mentioned in the same sentence with other top quality competing smart bands such as the Fitbit, Pebble, Apple iWatch, Garmin, Samsung galaxy fit etc for obvious reasons. (In case you dunno these are the big boys in the wearables subsector).

Did I mention it is the best selling Smart band ahead of all these I've mentioned above? grin

You use a umi watch so I understand your bias.

First of all do the 2 batteries use the same technology? So what makes you think it's by battery size? Even a noob knows that an amoled screen has better battery backup compared to IPS panel.

Who told you mi band users charge theirs more than once a month?

Are those the only points you quoted up there?

Am not ready for any futile back & forth, baseless arguement for your info. But when next time you put up a comparison between 2 or more devices, try to be as objective as possible.

-It is NOT attire selective because you can swap the bands to any of the readily available & low cost 3rd party bands including metal, TPU, multicoloured variants
-It has NFC variant if that's your cup of tea

Oh, you think it's about the battery size right? Sorry to burst your bubble. The mi band is noted to have the best battery to performance ratio when it comes to smart bands.

I no be heavy user. The 64storage remain free 15gb self, Na series and movies full inside. The 4gb ram dey most time show 2gb remaining will all the stuff inside. Na peoples dey send the browsers from my phone self.
