a) x< 14
b) x< 20
c) x< 29
d) x< 28

The first isn't so clear to me.


2). Speed = Distance / time
Distance = Speed × time
When the cyclist rode(1) we have;

Distance 1 = Xkm/hr × 30mins
Convert 30mins to hour
30mins = 0.5hr
Distance 1 = X. × 0.5
= 0.5Xkm
Distance 2 (When the cyclist pushed the bike)
= (X-5)km/hr × 2hr
= 2(X -5)km
Sum up the distances which becomes less than 60km
0.5X + 2X - 10 < 60
2.5 X < 70
X < 70/2.5
Therefore, X < 28km.

It varies from 6 to 9 months. Last year was 6 months. By d way, just to clarify, d word trainee refers to those of recruit cadre. If you are referring to your own cadre, d word is cadets. Training for DSSC cadets last set was 9 months, with a Christmas break of 2 weeks. Hope that helps.
