What you all couldn't understand is "they weren't native speakers of English". Also, they were so passionate about their own winning the match. I wasn't really interested in the commentary but the game. We just have to be focused on Tuesday. Surely, we'll win 3-2. Egypt were quite lucky yesterday. |

DeeTus:Sir you gat nathing to focus against Egypt at their own home. They are going for draw. Nigeria missed the chance to honour the thousands of fans that came to cheer them up. It was unlike nigerians yesterday, the way they showed up yesterday. |

HRich:Draw? No. Egypt are beateable at home. The match hasn't finished yet and we'll hurt them in Cairo. Siasia plays much better away. |

The commentators were saying something about Nigerian airways and Egypt airways when 9ja and Egypt free kicks went very high above the goal post. They were just like always, too unprofessional 1 Like |

ogawisdom: . First debut . Someone made such blunder ? Why is it that many sports commentators have poor diction ? They are supposed to be professionals. I used to remember those days. A commentator will say, "Emmanuel Amokachi with the ball." "That was a rising header" 1 Like |

The one that got me laughing was "after wining this match, the Egypt we see today, we shall see them no more" are they not suppose to comment on both teams performance?? At times they will give a free kick the guy go call am throwing, later correct himself. No professionalism fr their work. See fans self, see as they full stadium like say na world cup final. Where are the talented footballers on the street?? Go and get them |

Oh, I miss Jon Champion and Peter Drury...These guys know their onions to the extent that SONY had to use their voice for soccer on PlayStation.. Anytime these guys comentate on any EPL matches its always fun, insightful, informative and entertaining... You will hear commentaries like, say Sanchez just score, magical, sensational; if it's a classic goal at die minute, Jon will shout staggering, just staggering..etc Nigerian commentators should go and learn. Commentary is key in any game if viewers are to enjoy and feel the vibe in the stadium. 1 Like |

No sir, they are not being lackadaisical about their jobs, i feel they are on a learning process and they will get better too. John Champion never got it right at first. There are better and more respectful ways of correcting them if that's what you intended to do than to bring them on a social media like this(lets protect ourselves, no b only Nigerians dey nairaland). Whatever happens to Nigerians and Nigeria, you ain't left out. Nobody knows it better sir. Goodmorning boss princemi: 1 Like 1 Share |
