Tolu Arokodare scored hattrick yesterday.

He has been disciplined once for coming late to training.

Very shady penalty awarded to DRC, I hate these kind of situations.

Are you sure?
I thought the play offs are scheduled in December.
The draws would hold December 17th or 18th.

No FIFA window in December for international games till March 2022.

That's when the matches would be played.

He trained with U23 mostly to be honest, but even then he was not outstanding. Strong yes, super fast and technical I am sorry No.

There were better boys and younger than him there.

Those boys who were outstanding got promoted to the first team. Two defender CB went from U23 to the first team , when all three first CB got injured.

It's what you do in the youth teams that gives you a bridge to the first team. And then when you get the opportunity or chance do you utilize and make a name for yourself.

Saka got a chance at Arsenal as a 16 year old and claimed a permanent position he just turned 20 a month ago . And he has played 3 competitive season s in the EPL already and is a key player for Arsenal and England national team.

So your proposition about endless training and drills doesn't really cut it for me .

If l look at Liverpool Youth team , my prediction are for a certain 18 year old midfielder James Balagizi, to be the next big thing. It may not happen but that's my view .

A lot of the U23 players will train with the first team and if they impress they get in. Some do it immediately by some needs lots of drilling ( according to you )

In my opinion it's not so deep, managers have preferences and that shows in their selections.

What is your opinion of Akinkunmi amoo. He is doing well in hammarby of Sweden a false 9/ attacking midfielder who plays like mess I. Many clubs are after him.
I said his playing style is like Messi not that he is at messi level

Congo is leading 2:0 against Benin. Congo tops the group. Mali tops the group.... These two teams may be the weaker team compared to Ghana /SA. Ivory Coast / Cameroon

DR Congo will be the weakest team to qualify to the playoffs. The second weakest would be Egypt. On the other hand, Mali will be one of the strongest outside the top 5.

We should hope not to face Mali or Ivory Coast. Those teams have the talent and coaching to beat anyone on a good day.

The funny thing here is that, being realistic, Cape Verde's chances of winning that Tuesday match is almost zero. If you notice, our team mostly struggles against a team that came to draw. And honestly, you can't possibly thrash a team that came to defend. The only major problem with our team is that we miss clear chances a lot. Without those silly misses, we should be giving those small defensive minded African teams at least 2 nil.

Rohr's preferred tactic is counter attack, because we have excellent attackers, that's why it is difficult for big teams to overcome Nigeria. Once the game is equal in possession, the team finds it easy to score. But once the opponent is laid back, na wahala because we are not yet at that elite level of creativity to tear defences open easily. So if you sit back against Nigeria, you have a chance of winning or drawing. If any of those teams had tried to keep the defence line higher, trust me na 4-nil or above.

However, for Cape Verde, coming to Lagos to sit back, will be very difficult for them to do, even if the coach says so, given that they have more at stake and sitting back will more likely lead to a draw than a win. So their only option is to score an early goal, then sit back. But that will be a gamble for them, because Rohr's counter attack strategy could lead to a goal in their net and keep them attacking, which will result in more goals against them, trust me. So very likely Rohr will start Chukwueze or Ejuke.

The game will tilt to who scores the first and earliest goal. Nigeria is the favorite here, due to a deadlier attack. I only pray that Sierra Leone doesn't happen again. It's very unlikely though.

The odds are in the favour,no doubt... The problem still remain Rohr...I for say make you fax this your idea to him...

Meanwhile, Croatia vs Russia just ended on a similar note...Russia needed a draw to qualify, Croatia needed a win...Russia played defensive throughout...Guess what? A last minute own goal has taken Croatia through to the world cup grin

DR Congo may appear weak on paper, but trust me, those guys know how to hurt big teams... Plus they are quite physical...

Forget the ranking... All the teams that make it to the playoff are there because they deserve it... They are all worthy opponents...

Saka will not break into Manchester City or Liverpool at 16. Why do you think Sancho left? What of Pogba? Little chance to breakthrough.

However, I believe if Pogba and Sancho had stayed back to horn their skills, they would lack a bit more tactical depth in their play.

Saka won't even make it into both City or Liverpool squad today.

So his example is devoid of the point

Who was the better goalkeeper between the two as at that time?

can’t remember Okoye committing a blunder that results to a goal, I agree he have to be more commanding but I don’t understand where the criticism is coming from and it’s not like his competitors are outstanding
This is exactly the point. Mind you, he needs to improve in other aspects too. But for now, he has not done anything to justify he is better than Uzoho. That is the fact
