Africa needs to learn football management in other to succeed at the world stage

Early qualification to tournaments will help greatly in preparation and other logistics.

As it stands, most European and South American countries have qualified earlier and preparations starts in ernest.

Because of CAF format, African teams will have to wait till March to know who qualifies or not. This will not help in preparation and even some duo Nationals are waiting to be a country qualifies for the world cup before pledging allegiance, someone like Olise will be waiting to see who qualifies between Nigeria and Algeria.

Early preparation is the key, Africa learn.

The qualifier were supposed to conclude this month... it was delayed due to covid.... So don't really blame CAF... Moreso, the European qualifier aren't really over yet...there's still a playoff round....

I hope Rohr is watching lol. Ghana has completely shunned any prospect of SA getting a chance at goal, let alone play in their half

SA coach is a good tactician. He invited fresh and younger players who are committed. I recalled he won the Nation cup with Cameroon 2016/17. Ghana needs extra work tonight

All this poor calls will just add to people's heartbreak.

Honestly I somehow wish South Africa could qualify. They really have been dedicated to their football development and keep losing out, first AFCON and then WC. Also they have been getting a lot of negativity online. I've not seen anyone outside SA support them. The whole Africa seems to prefer Ghana.

Nigeria is parading tactically the poorest National Team Coach in the World. We ain't gonna achieve anything with Rohr in charge.

Honestly, I won't mind Amuneke, and a backroom Staff of Salisu, Finidi, Yobo and Ike Shorunmu (GK Trainer).

If we can't hire a tactically sound foreign Coach, then we should go local. Jez look at our female National Team, since Pinnick hires foreign Coach for them, they've been performing outstandingly poor.

They were doing fine with a local Coach until that new foreign Coach is hired. We've seen enough of Rohr. He has reached his peak. Late Keshi did it with Mali and became a Hero in Nigeria. Amunike has done it with Tanzania, let's give him a Chance to rescue our Football.

The only issue I have with Rohr is his insistence on attacking from the wings when we play possesion games against small teams. It obvious we are not passing well enough in the box to score often. We can try sudden outside 18 ground or low shots from unlikely places. Pass, pass, pass then somebody just shoots. That shit works so well in Africa, I've watched a couple of CAF games and it leads to goals more often than you'd think. It may look amateurish but it still works.

Don't be surprised none of this super eagles coach know what you put up there especially rohr

He has nothing upstairs when it comes to reading and analysing a match

The funny thing here is that, being realistic, Cape Verde's chances of winning that Tuesday match is almost zero. If you notice, our team mostly struggles against a team that came to draw. And honestly, you can't possibly thrash a team that came to defend. The only major problem with our team is that we miss clear chances a lot. Without those silly misses, we should be giving those small defensive minded African teams at least 2 nil.

Rohr's preferred tactic is counter attack, because we have excellent attackers, that's why it is difficult for big teams to overcome Nigeria. Once the game is equal in possession, the team finds it easy to score. But once the opponent is laid back, na wahala because we are not yet at that elite level of creativity to tear defences open easily. So if you sit back against Nigeria, you have a chance of winning or drawing. If any of those teams had tried to keep the defence line higher, trust me na 4-nil or above.

However, for Cape Verde, coming to Lagos to sit back, will be very difficult for them to do, even if the coach says so, given that they have more at stake and sitting back will more likely lead to a draw than a win. So their only option is to score an early goal, then sit back. But that will be a gamble for them, because Rohr's counter attack strategy could lead to a goal in their net and keep them attacking, which will result in more goals against them, trust me. So very likely Rohr will start Chukwueze or Ejuke.

The game will tilt to who scores the first and earliest goal. Nigeria is the favorite here, due to a deadlier attack. I only pray that Sierra Leone doesn't happen again. It's very unlikely though.

It seems u dont know rohr

Mark this...the German will stick to same line up that played against Liberia

I know rohr so well he is very conservative and does not change

Will this heaven fall if Rohr tries Balogun and Akpoguma pairing in CB. Why inviting the guy without playing him. If what we have is better than him, then why going for him in the first place. Ekong gives me shivers whenever he is under pressure. Rohr should check a different pairing abeg.
