Squad as released by CAF, Ighalo wasted our slot for another player.

This Ighalo blame is getting too much. Does he have such gigantic influence on any list that once he says he's available, its 300% sure that he will make the list?

This kine energy supposed to be reserved for Ahmed Musa, in all fairness then.

Okay lets blame Ighalo. But we are not even sharing the blame with those that invited him aka the Team Handlers. I'm not understanding atall. Is the final say not with them?

Everything is not religious.

You make informed knowledge based deductions on facts and objective assessments. There is not time for double standards or emotional preferences.

Nwakali had potential but potential has a shelf life cycle and his has expired. He has had a lot of help but failed.

I am not God and with God ABSOLUTELY anything is possible.

Ya doing something i don't like with the bolded. I'm not an Nwakali fan but to opine that his time has elapsed is being God-like. Absolutely nothing like you say exist in absolute in the world of sports. Why so so confident like the Owner of the Titanic on whether the ship will sink

A parallel of Sunday Mba is all anyone will use to cancel your insistent opinion.

Head and Tail still very much exist for Nwakali and as such, no mortal alive or dead should be this confident that the outcome is definitely what he or she says it is.

I go carry your name go prayer City o. grin

It seems you are misinformed, Nwakali not only trained with the youth team but also the first team.

This is something that happens regularly in Arsenal youth players train with the first team to see if they can CUT IT. I have even seen a trialist from non league gone straight into the first team training session.

He failed to cut it in the youth team and did not make much of an impression at youth level too.
I get that he may have trained with the team, but that doesn't mean he got the chance to fight for a place. They are two different things. He could not have done that because he had no work permit. He was basically a visitor in London.

In comparison, we heard reports that Ebere Eze trained with one of the Nigerian youth teams once, but we all know he did not get a chance to compete and be part of the team. You yourself say as much a lot.

I'm not saying he would have been a world beater had he gotten the chance, after all, he's not done much with his career so far (I don't dispute this, and I also think truthfully, he doesn't deserve to be on the SE team to the Afcon), but let's be fair here. Using the fact that he didn't get a chance at arsenal to say he never got to play when we know he didn't have a work permit, isn't a fair point.

Anyway, what I want to bring out is that he can still make a lot out of his career. Osimhen did, Awoniyi did (a similar case and he eventually got his permit before being sold), so I believe he also can. After all, he had some interest from EPL clubs during the summer.

I think our general problem here for this AfCON is having absolutely high and mighty hopes for both SE newbies and Afcon newbies in direct contrasts to SE faithfuls and Afcon regulars.

We never had this kine faith for their Uche brothers na. Even Ideye and Emenike never had this much faith.

We've once done this thing for Oduamadu sha. But this time, by contrast, its shockering me.

We don't expect much from Nacho, Iwobi, Aribo. But Nwakali, Ejuke, Onyeka?

Well well well.

Not at all. Recall i also wanted him back in the team under Rohr.

I guess we just wantu blame someone and he easily fits. Which is laughable.

Make Tourney no bad and then we begin to voice out concerns about Eguavoen's inconsistency/inability/etc then.

I'm just curious.

In one instance you said Nwakali wasn't training with the Arsenal first team, today to buttress your point you now agree he indeed trained with the likes of Ozil, Ramsey and co at the time. Good

grin

Don't waste your energy arguing with Komekn we were here when he said no championship club will sign Osimhen, and he will struggle to even make it into the academy of any EPL team, we were also here when he denied it all and brought his "here and now" rule.
We will all be here someday in the future when Nwakali will get signed by a top team and he will deny/twist all he is posting here today, he will even challenge you as usual to bring out 2 posts where he said Nwakali is a total failure. grin
Just give it time

I agree with you! However, Iwobi has been a phenomenon in training. Aribo is excellent too. We gat this if Austin does the right thing!

I am seriously thinking about the coaching stuff but my present job is taking a lot of my time.

Actually, In 2013, as a sports master and teacher, I coached my then secondary school to win the inaugural edition of the Oyo State female soccer championship.

No wonder you have deep insight. Please by all means go for the coaching course. Time waits for no man oo.

Nooo don't say that. It's theft. The most he can do is to acknowledge that he copied it from Nairaland mentioning the name of the poster and putting a link to this thread. That way this thread will even gain wider attention. Instead he's unscrupulously making gains out of the opinion put out on this thread.

I remember that Tunisia penalty shootout in AFCON 2006. Kanu was hiding from taking one - was a bit embarrassing for such a big player, even after a 18-year-old Mikel had stepped-up and taken one.

Yobo had to yell at Kanu to go take one..Eguavoen too. grin grin
I watched the highlights yesterday and I was laughing. You know we Nigerians don't spare any players that bleeped up.

How many times will you be told that Rohr complied the list?
Rohr omitted Dessers name!

What's this deep hatred for local coaches and obsession with oyibo coaches you have?
it's pathetic o.. You, Komekn,Idenna and Emeka are all on the same WhatsApp group in case you don't know ..
Tribe of foreign born players and foreign coaches vs tribe of local born players and local coaches
They have their supporters. The one that is subtle to notice are those who belong to the first category.
