Nice match but I hate the fact that we conceded 2 needless goal.

And what a poor ref

Our no 3 that took the freekick that resulted in the first goal is gifted with a sweet left foot. That Referee is just mean. That penalty he awarded to Ghana was criminal.

not just the second goal alone, the ball leading to their first goal too

I stopped watching after what was supposed to be a thrown in for Nigeria, even after the lines man had raised his flag against Ghana

Michael (In shirt no 3) needs to put more effort defensively. His wingside was exploit throughout, attacking wise, he was superb. Overall, they perform very well, they didn't drop energy throughout the match, despite the fact they played against the host in front of their fans. They will wallop Togo in their next match on Tuesday.

Naija Talents Watch: Ozor Okeke, 15-16yrs

One of the lads expected to fly Nigeria's flag in Ghana at the Wafu B U17 Afcon Qualifiers tournament.

Like already mentioned in my U17 Players to watch at the WafuB, he's a young Midfield Dynamo from Triple44 Football Academy, based in Ibadan.

Same academy produced Peter Olawale of the last U17 class (2019) who is now at Hapoel R'anana in Israel and Emmanuel Adeyemo who is at FC Vizela.

Ozor Okeke is expected to be the team's conductor and driving force through the middle. More will be seen from him as from this weekend in Ghana.

Keep watch at the WafuB u17.

My goodness, this kid, Ozor Okeke is indeed a Baller. Highly cerebral in his midfield plays. Dropped as deep as needed most times to initiate new sequences of plays and really gave us control in the middle game.

He synced really well with Oyebanjo (#12) and Ebube Okere (#17) in the middle.

His talent is obvious.

NB:
Ozor (#10) is right of the pic below celebrating Michael's sweet FK goal.

Like Flying Eagles, Like Golden Eaglets...

In other news, really looking forward to the new cadet stars that will show their stuff starting from this weekend in Ghana at the Wafu B Afcon U17 Qualifier tournament.

Some lads to look out for according to various live camp reports and close scouting observations:

GKs:

Pascal Uzoho, Richard Odoh (Team's #1)

Odoh is said to be quite good at almost everything between the sticks at this level. Hopefully he lives up to the hypes.

Defence:

Emmanuel Michael (left sided attacking Midfielder converted to LB)

Jeremiah Olaleke - Fullback and Center back potential.

Yahaya Lawal - Fullback potential.

Midfield:

Ebube Okere (Midfield's trojan. Ball winning MF)

Ozor Okeke (technically gifted MF. Said to possess a high football IQ in the middle game. Time will tell)

Attack:

Kevwe Iyede (one report likens him to another rising Osimhen).

Precious Williams - Team Captain and Goals Lord of the team. Highly rated by the coaches.

Abubakar Abdullahi - Sweet left foot. Good build. Tall, strong physically.

Jubril Azeez - In the words of a close observer, he could be the team's joker. Also left footed.

Really hope the team live up to the hypes from close observers of the Ugbade-assembled Team.

Wishing the team all the best. cool

3 of the kids stated in this initial pre tournament analysis scored today. The team is packed with genuine ballers abeg. Trust they keep this going.

Jubril Azeez gave me so much Joy on the right. Hope his injury isn't so serious as he was replaced late on by Abubakar Abdullahi (#8 ).

Precious led the lines well. Indeed he's a goals Lord and focal point of the team's attack.

Kevwe is quite a physical specimen at this age and packs a ferocious shot.

Olaleke and Ogwor are composed CBs. The 2 goals were just unfortunate and due to poor ref calls especially the second goal.

Light Eke is quite the Super Sub.

This Naija U17 Class of 2022 is quite an exciting one.

MOTM, Emmanuel Michael is from the Simoiben Futball Club, Kaduna.

That's a Simon Moses-owned football academy.

Uzoho's confidence is the growing work of Ike shoromu. Although he has been conceding but there is a different feel and personality he exudes like you said. And I think we should give the credit to Ike shoromu without wasting time
If that's the case, then accolades. Hopefully it becomes part of his permanently.

Osimehn is yet to have a co- beast as pairing partner. I think Isaac Success will not be a bad idea. His 2 goals and 7 assist in 22 SerĂa A matches is not a bad stat.

Are you being paid to type this?

Nope. Naturally a left footed attacking midfielder converted into a LB in the Naija U17 camp.

Pre tournament reports did also say that he has a knack for hitting Freekicks so that makes him some sort of FK specialist.

There is a reason Kevwe starts. He was involved in some of our fine attacking moves today and had a big hand in the second goal.
True, he looked kinda heavy/slow a few times but we need his physicality.
Ugbade really drilled this team so he knows why Eke impacted the game better off the bench.

Remember Sani Emmanuel of 2009? So trust the coach. If Nduka tweaks the lineup to include Eke then so be it.
