Jarus:
By the way, here are the prize monies:

1st- $4.5m
2nd - $2.5m
3rd & 4th (semi-finalists) - $2m
5th - 8th (quarter-finalists) - $800k

Noteworthy that the prize money for the AFCON winners is far less than what teams that were eliminated in the group stage at the last FIFA World Cup received ( $8m).

African football is really poor... This price money is too small.

Most African players earn far more than its being offered to Nations here.

Heck!.. Even iheanacho alone is worth $25M.

CAF should do better abeg

Klopp was never sacked at Dortmond. He, himself called it quit having thought he was no longer the right man for the club. Dortmond Gm made it clear they would stand by Klopp no matter what.

But he had a poor run of games. Simeone got relegated at River Plate. Good coaches have poor runs.

Klopp has coached Dortmund since 2008, taking them to two league titles and the Champions League final in 2012-13, but this term they are currently 10th.

They lie 37 points behind leaders Bayern Munich, having been bottom of the league in February before a partial revival.

Enough said. Klopp was beyond atrocious and was bottom of the league at some point.

Transfer: Tottenham sign Nigerian striker

John Owen Nwachukwu

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of talented Nigerian striker, Kion Etete.

The North London side made this known in a statement on its website.

However, the financial terms and duration of contract have not been disclosed by the North London club.

The 17-year-old was offered a contract by Tottenham following a successful trial.

The player was signed from demoted League Two club Notts County.

Etete scored twice in a trial game against West Ham in the U18 Premier League in March 2019.

He was born to a Nigerian father and English mom.

Etete joined Notts County at the age of fourteen, rising through the ranks before making his first team debut in a Checkatrade Trophy clash against Newcastle United U21 in October 2018.

Why won't he have a poor run when Dortmund sold their best players every season to Bayern Munich. You don't eat your cake and have it.
Even with the poor run, he still finished in Europa cup places.

Did I disagree with your point? The main point is about good coaches having poor stints and Klopp falls under that radar. Not if he was sacked or not. It is either he had a poor stint or not.

Finito.

Still concurring with me. Rodgers losing Suarez was a massive blow that affected the team.

Your initial post I quoted, you said he was sacked. I wanted to correct that impression because that was false information. Again, I repeat, Klop wasn't sacked by Dortmond .

Leicester City put 4 past Manchester City under Guardiola. Did that mean Guardiola was not a genius? You judge a coach by his history, not selected games or seasons.

How come other coaches could not attack with Leicester City if it was just that.

No need to argue with u..

By December we will know how much of a genius he is...

Rodgers has been doing it for too long to ruin his name in less than a year. His Swansea team was sharing passing stats with the best teams in the league.

This thing we play is soring my eyes
No directional play, no aim no target
I saw the England-netherlands game and was impressed with their short passes even though they lost due to passing errors it's something they can build on like the Spaniards

Super Falcons broke my heart yesterday.

Positives from the match:

1. Francisca Mrumun Ordega - The most exciting player for the Super Falcons.

2. Chidinma Okeke - Has the balls(brains) to go far in the game if she puts her head down.

I wish she starts in our next match.

You are talking from the spectacle of being a Liverpool fan forgetting Brendan Rodgers was someone who took a team with little quality talents, Swansea and played beautiful possessive football and helped them stay up. So good that he got the interest of Liverpool.

How you guys try to class him average beats my imagination.

By the end of next season, we will know...okay?
