Signed from ADO Den Haag in July 2018, the right-back is still waiting to make his competitive debut for Benfica's first team after recovering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that kept him on the sidelines for the whole of last season.

A number of European clubs had enquired about loaning Ebuehi only for Benfica to turn down the approaches.

The Dutch-born defender has continued to build up his match fitness by playing for Benfica's U23 squad in the Liga Revelacao and the B team in the Liga Pro.

With the exception of the Super Eagles friendly against Brazil in which he was handed a late call-up as a replacement for Kenneth Omeruo, Ebuehi has not been invited to the national team since the end of the 2018 World Cup.

Only in a few instances when the coach switches it up tactically. But Ekambi is a striker and so is Paco. Samu is their main man on the Right wing and in Right midfield. Paco's competitions are mainly Moreno and Bacca.
