I am never a fan of Roberto, either as a RB or a midfielder, so it's a no no for me .. infact he should have been sold to give way for better players for the 2 positions he occupies.

Modern football has gone above defending so well for R/L backs, and the defending so well you talked about him is arguable.

Just look at walker even at his age, he defend well and attacks well, that's what should be expected of a player playing RB for Barcelona

Semedo Na fine player ,maybe he needs a better coach

Juventus ,Mancity wanna get Semedo

You can see that pep wanna exchange Joao cancelo for him

What all the attacking abilities of Joao he can’t bench Kyle walker ,now ask me why ?

Kyle walker is a better player defensively ,but when it comes to attacking ,joao cancelo got the edge

He doesn't assist because Barca don't use the crossing style like other clubs, all he does is cut back to Messi

if he was in Liverpool he would have plenty of assists

Thank you for this jare

Arabiandude:

But how come Alba from LB still assist and scores, as well as defending?

Alves wasn't crossing but he was still defending, scoring and assisting, that's what is also expected of semedo

Alba is more involved in more technicalities like 1-2s and false runs with Messi

Semedo is more straightforward with less technique that is why I think he is not suited for Barca

No the buy was puzzling because Barca were meant to buy the best young talents or raise them from the academy

But he was bought from Sevilla at 25, he was not even the best midfielder at Sevilla neither was he in the top 5 midfielders outside Barca and Madrid

No Chief, Karine Ojigwe was the defensive midfielder while Kanu played as No 8 behind Anosike.
Ojigwe played DM, Kanu played 10, Oruma and Anosike forward!

What role did Karibe Ojigwe play if you claimed Kanu was the DM in the squad?
Icon4s:

Kanu played defensive midfield while Oruma played Central midfield. Peter Anosike was the main striker.

Osimhen agrees to join Napoli on a five year deal

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed to a summer move to Italian Serie A side, Napoli, from French side Lille.

Reports revealed that the 21-year-old will put pen to paper for a five year deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s side after agreeing four million euros ( over 1.7 billion naira) annual salary apart from bonuses.

It has now appeared that the Naples outfit has won the race for the striker who has been tipped to join either Tottenham or Liverpool in the English Premier League.

Lille president Gerard Lopez confirmed a few days ago that the club received several offers, but will only do business for the right money.

“There are multiple offers,’ Lopez told Sportsmail.

‘We turned down one English and one Spanish offer this January transfer window.

‘There is a wide array [this summer] and I wouldn’t want to give the names of the clubs who are bidding but what I can tell you is that there are multiple [offers]. There are three championships that have clubs that have bid for him.’ Lopez said.

I think Rohr influenced Osimhen's decision.

I didn't say pep did anything bad to their careers, just that they had the talent but refused to improved, same thing would have happened to Robert under pep because he has also refused to improved

But he went on to become one of the best in his position

At times you don’t need to get the best players in their position

Saudi mane was not among the top 5 wingers in the Epl when Liverpool purchased him ,but you can see the player he has become today

But what was the rational for buying him at 25 for 20 million after an average season at Sevilla?

If he was 21 or 22 I would say they saw some potential in him

Rakitic never became the best in his position, he had a good 2016/17 season but he never had a career like Xavi, Iniesta or Busquets
