It will be safe to assume that Jesus teachings were complete and all we need to be Christians and even make heaven on the final day, it is also safe to assume that, if tithing is such a corner stone requirement and duty for a New Testament church, he will not fail to mention it even once.

He even took time to mention our duty and obligations to the ruling government of the day (aka give on to Caesar what belongs to Carsar) and also mentioned our responsibility to pay tax as Christians, but never tithing.

Telling a religious Jewish man that you can give his God money or material things like gold and silver is tantamount to blasphemy. All instances of tithes in the old testament refers to agricultural products which is kept in the temple store for feeding of the priests and congregation. The only instance where tithes was allowed to be converted to cash was where the distance from the temple is too far, the tither was allowed to sell the tithe and use the Money to eat and drink.

No where in all your examples did it state that money or anything was given to God, or that God collected anything from anybody.

You just quote verses and try and bend the meaning to suit your tithe doctrine. For example, prov 3,9

9. Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Where in these verses did it say you are giving money or material things to God. The verses was obviously referring to grapes that is used for making wines and probably wheat and other fruits. Honour the lord is not the same thing as giving to God.

Now look at verses 13 and 14 of the same proverbs;

13. Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
14. For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.

Does this signify that you can give god money, cars, houses and other material things?

Let's also remember how some Redeemed branches was using the pulpit to campaign for APC during the campaign days. I hope Redeemed members are happy with the way the country has turned out now. I wonder when Jesus demonstrated this manipulative giving strategy

Nna eh...times have really changed. Remember when all the sacrifice God needed was goat or ram. Even when He asked for a child Hin no still collect am. Then finally He asked for a thankful heart as true sacrifice. Now pastors think they can ask for money and even attach a grade of blessing to certain amounts.

Please know that no matter the kazillions you bring to church, it doesn't guarantee you heaven or hell or even earth.

We pay more titthes than americans but they are better off...please use your sense...don't go and pack your life savings and give your pastor, nigeria would have been a better place if not for religion...if we had half of churches and research instutes and production firms, our economy would have being better off.....in summary religious houses are a waste of space..
