I know they would have told you many things. Let me be practical with you faith can easily come with understanding.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
if you really study that above scripture, you will really discern that it is not saying faith comes by merely hearing word of God. that's why it broke down for emphasis sake
. faith is from hearing, hearing is from word of God. That is Faith is from understanding what you hear, read, study or meditate and memorise from the Word of God. The three Hebrews said they know their God could save them from the burning furnace because they understand him. Inner conviction of his person and modus operandi of his operations.
Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploit.
Everything boils down to knowledge and how much understanding you have from it.
That's why Great faith can take some time because human brain is slow to learn.
To conclude this why we cannot leave out the place of Holy Spirit who is the teacher of our time.
