Like you have a choice; you lazy lots should encourage your capable businessmen if any exists, to invest in the oil sector instead of crying like butthurt cry babies about being excluded and rendered irrelevant. Right now, the oil industry is dominated by northerners and s/westerners operationally (forget oil blocs) and that's not gonna change in the next ten years. Let that digest. temptnow: truthspeaks: 1 Like |

KingsCity:You get head my bros. If at less than $150m we can get 75MW that's $2m/MW. $1b ($1,000m) will give us 500MW and $10b will easily give us our current capacity of 5000MW to double our total capacity. The only issue with this is that it most available during the day. But then that be could be used to drive our largely dead industries that need daytime power. That's good news for printers, small industries, coldrooms, and 90% of small businesses. The only part of the news i find out of place is the 20cent per kwh part. In india they get it around 6cent/kwh (N320/$). 1 Like |

fulanimafia:abi o...that guy Neva sabi anything, he doesn't know wassup! but Fulanimafia, is Nigeria only for Northerners and s/westerners? be sincere to yourself... do you not see anything wrong or unjust about the present arrangement? don't you think its only fair these peeps deserve to derive the most benefits from their resources? the approach of economic sabotaging is faulty tho this is the time were sound quality leadership like the one provided by the late Madella is needed. |

WinningSun: Lagos will not be anywhere but darkness..Egbin power plant how many MW is it. Am sure not more than 750mw. Lagos needs not less than 2500mw. Also the dangote gas is pipeline from Ndelta so no change. and it is for mainly refinery and fertilizer plant. On another note Power generation is now a very private business just like running a pure water factory thks to Gej. So stop blaming gov. Anyone can now contribute to the national grid and it is a good business if they can pay up to 20c/MWh. in fact it pays now more than owning an oil rig. |

FxDuke: Absolutely not, it isn't. Those guys blew their chances all through the Jonathan years, and now think they can blackmail everyone to get what they failed to ask for when they were in power. Isn't the best thing for the few billionaires amongst them to invest in the oil industry like other Nigerians like Otedola, Dangote, Rahamaniyya etc. in order to gain a foothold in the industry instead of sponsoring militancy to protest their current situation? They only have themselves to blame and blackmailing the current government and other Nigerians will NEVER work. 1 Like |

hotspec: Where were you when the president stated that he wants to diversify Nigeria's power sector in such a way that the source for generating power will be closer to the region. He also went ahead to say that it's gonna be solar for north, hydro-electric for north-central and south-west and Gas turbines for south-south and south-east. The president will not change his plans to suit your sensibility, bross. You may go continue wailing now. 2 Likes |
