If I hear say promoting African unity. Our ancestors fought only for themselves and their lands the same way our government officials of today loot for only their family members and if generous a few people from their tribe. Back in the day it was suicidal for an Igbo man to trespass into Yoruba territory, even amongst tribes close-knit groups still warred against themselves.

African unity is a myth, it only exists where two different Africans find themselves in a foreign country with no other option but to unite. Even using the example there is still a high likelihood they would rather fight and pull each other down than unite with one another.
